How many photos do you take when on vacation?

We have just returned from a three-week vacation in Europe and I realized I took 1,045 photos in 21 days which is 49 photos per day on average... And... although there are some pics of scenery and sights, most of those are evidence of ohow much time we all had together. No wonder my family consider me a mamarazzi... lol... it doesn't feel like I'm THAT obsessed though...

What about you? How much do you photograph when away? Or at home or a regular day?

It really depends. When we go sight seeing I take more. Never been on a long vacation like that, but I guess I probably take about 50 a day too. Often I take 2-3 of the same thing to make sure at least one is a good one, too. And I love to try different angles and close ups and so on to get a different vibe.

IMHO-- in the world of digi-- there is no such thing as too many photos. I love that most of them are of your family #kiss

I went back and looked at our most recent vacation...I take between 40 and 70 a day.

I've taken over 10,000 photos in the last 4 years. When we go on holidays, I take a lot more than normal, but I like to have lots of photos to choose from when scrapping.

I take so many pictures all the time. I just looked and have 61 new pictures just since Sunday and I really haven't been anywhere like on vacation. I have 3,869 pictures on my phone right now + 87 videos. I agree with Chris @faerywings with digital pictures you can't really take too many. You just have to have a lot of space on your devices. If I go on vacation, I take my Nikon DSLR and I have 2 big memory cards. I have a lot of memory on my iPhone, too.

Lots and lots. I always feel like I just have to take one more. Just not to miss that one perfect shot. Just one more, untill my family says no more mom. And then I go, just one more......

cant afford vacations but say i go to the zoo or some local event havent been to will take tons of photo - but none of me or hubby. if my dog is with us will take pics of her too. example - last year when we went to the renaissance festival with her.

I just went on vacation with non-family members, so I tried to reign myself in and only took on average 30 a day lol

Um ... I took 122 pictures when hubby and I went for a drive to the mountains on Saturday. In about 12 hours. I will go through and choose the best at some point, but ... never too many photos!

When I went to Europe in high school, I was gone 12 days and had 37 rolls of film to develop when I got home ... of 24 pictures each. Still have them all (and probably the doubles too!) lol

I haven't gone on a vacation in years so this trip to Alaska we're going on next wkend will be so much fun to photograph. I'm sure I'll average at least 100-200 per day and figure I'll come home with about 2000 photos.

When out for a day trip I can easily take 300-500 so I'm being conservative about the total for my trip

Depending on the location we go to .... I still have an average of 800 photos in a week ... usually with multiple shots of a subject ... a bit of a different point of view....

Any time I take pics I take hundreds! The other day we had a pool day and I took toooo many lol. But I love having options for scrapping so it's fun to have tons to choose from.
