Homemade Spice Mixes

Just thought I'd share these - I think it would be a good Christmas gift. I've shared recipes from Pick Up Limes website before - I'm a huge fan of their recipes. I even have their app.

These two spice mixes I've made and love to use. There are more, but I haven't tried those.

If you have any spice mixes you do - please share. I'm new to pre-making spice mixes like this. I usually just add spices as I cook, but I really like to have mixes pre-made like this.

*ignores the comment about ketchup but cant promise how long I can hold out*

I have a bunch of seasoned salt and low-sodium seasonings recipes I made last year. I will try to find them as they are someone on my computer. Just not sure where. ;/

I am finally ready(ish) to make the vegan seasonings for Tom's gift

My family is from Portuguese decent and we had sausage makers among our relative line long ago... I love linguisa... I love the spicy flavor and since I have been vegan I have been trying to replicate it... Emeril's is close... I have used it with crumbled tofu a bit of fresh garlic, a splash of red wine or acv (just about a table spoon) and fry it up. It has a bit of a different taste than I was used to but it's still good. If you wanted to go the traditional sausage route - you would grind pork butt and add a splash of oil...

  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or marjoram
  • 3/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper.

@estir_bune I am so glad that you posted this!
I have been looking for a spicier seasoning to add to the mixes I made for my son-in-law. I am going to make the sausage seasoning but use ground red pepper instead of crushed since he likes to add it to popcorn. That way it will stick better.
Any time you have vegan recipes/seasoning to share, I'd love to see them :)
