Ok ladies- here is our first thread- Hope everyone is good to go!

The Zone we are in is the Master Bedroom. I know that I have to get the dust and cobwebs off my ceiling fan! And while I am up there, I guess I can replace the burnt out light bulbs :)

For my AM routine, I already made my bed, showered and dressed yay rah!!!
As soon as I finish my coffee (priorities, you know ;)) I am going to finish the rest of my morning routine and get something for dinner out of the freezer.
Asian Turkey Burgers I think.

Alright, Master bedroom, that's a good one. There is a mondo stack of books on the dresser that I want to sell or trade, plus some other clutter, it's beginning to be one of those Hot Spots! Also, yeah, there's a lightbulb up there that needs replacing, and has for quite awhile!
As for AM routine, I'm not dressed yet, and the bed's not made yet, but we've all had our breakfast, and the drying dishes from last night have been put away. Next stop, upstairs for my shower and bed-making. Maybe I'll bring the duster and a lightbulb up with me when I go, eh?
 
Okay...the master bedroom...my ceiling fan needs a good dusting too...and it's Monday...so I need to change the sheets...I do have a routine for that task....but I need to dust the whole room and I have a few clothes in a basket to be put away....I am on it before we are off to the DR this morning....then I will clean up the kitchen too before we go....that will be about it for me today (maybe a load of laundry)!!:D
 
Great way to start the week!

School has started and we're home after six weeks camping. Just came home every once in a while to do some laundry, yes, that's just washing and drying, and guess where I kept all of this for the ironing!

Yes, so see what I can do!
 
Ohhhh the fly lady!!! I love her stuff :) Chris I just joined a mini workshop series that starts tomorrow that is a mini declutter thing not fly lady. Mind if I play along with that?

So far today.....my goal is to hit the bathroom and hard! Figure it's best to tackle that one area 1st :)
 
Okay. Beds made, girls dressed, I'm showered, dressed and have my face made, beds are made, master bedroom ceiling fan is dusted, lightbulb changed, and I even did a mini-fling up there, threw away a couple of magazines that were on the bedside table as well as some yarn scraps, tissues etc.

Yay!

Okay, laundry is going, linens changed and the bed is made, sink is empty but still have dishes to unload from the dishwasher. Cobwebs are gone and a little dusting was done.
 
Oh,, you guys are going great allready!!

Today, Hubby went working after his 3 weeks of vacation. So I played with the girls, surfing on the i-net. Went to the shop.. Made dinner.. And did nothing else :oops:
 
I am so glad this is where we are starting because this is one of the hardest places for me to manage. I need to hop on the website and see what's up with it. Fortunately, I started in the MB last night without even knowing all this. I'm off to check the site.
 
Wow! You ladies are rocking!

Today I got all of the cobwebs off my ceiling and the fan. I forgot to get light bulbs at the supermarket... but with the dust off of the light bulbs that work, maybe no one will notice that half of them are burnt out now :)

I am back from the beach, all showered and happy to sit in a calmer house! (Drinking my water too)
 
Okay...I got signed up and have printed out the first 31 days so that i can see it everyday to see what my new task is. Oh, Ihope this helps. I am tired of living the way that I do. Thanks for starting this Chris.
 
Clara- she also has a FACE program- its to help with finances. I know you are working with that other guy's method now, but her's might help you to maintain :)

Okay the boys are leaving for football practice in a few...and then I am hitting the bathroom :) Once that is done...I am allowing myself some time to scrap :)
 
Ok...I got the clothes put away...the bed made...the ceiling fan dusted..and then got the kitchen done (dishwasher unloaded...loaded back up...and everything put away)...that was it for me...left at 10:30 and did not get back until after 2:30. No more motivation for this day! Will have to get started early tomorrow!!
 
All I have to do before bed is get the laundry in ( I have to run my load at night b/c of our broken septic), set up the dishwasher (thank goodness for delay cycles!) and wash face/brush teeth.
A great day for me!

Has anyonw downloaded the Fly Tool Bar? I did, so far, I like it for the ,ost part. Its kinda big, and now I have 3 tool bars and one navigation bar...... but I can uninstall if I don't like it.

Man. I'd get a lot more done around the house if I didn't leave the house at 7 a.m. and get home at 6 p.m. We made dinner and played baseball outside, now I'm pooped and I haven't even cleaned anything yet!

My goal before bed is to pick up the living room and dining room. I also wouldn't mind picking up the floor in the bedroom. I know I'm not going to have hardly any time tomorrow night. So I'd rather get more done tonight. =) I'll check back in later and let you know my progress. =)

Sara- keep in mind the 15 minute timer and/or 5 minute room rescues- I would set a timer and then be amazed at how much I could really get done in 5 or 15 minutes!

Now I just have to get back in the habit of doing it :D
 
=) I did get the living room and dining room picked up. I still have to finish folding Ben's laundry, but I'm listening to New Moon as I'm doing it....so it's really not bad. *grins sheepishly*

I haven't picked the clothes up in the bedroom, but I'll cut myself some slack there. =) I need to look through the days on Flylady and figure out if I can swap some days to really follow the program. It would probably help me out. =)

I have a pretty shiny sink. yay!!

Chris - i will check out the finance part too. I am really trying to get all the chaos out of my life...house, finances, weight. Life will be much easier for me if I live in a place surrounded with some sort of order. Start one thing at a time. Finances, now house next weight. Not quite sure how I am tackling that but I will get something figured out...I want to look good when I go on my cruise.

Here are Tuesday's Email Reminders

The FLY website is down ATM, but today's mission is to dust all of the baseboards in the BR.
I have to keep a litter box in my BR (I know, ick) and I need to get under the baseboards where a lot of the litter rolls. That means on hands and knees, so I usually ignore it.

And I guess this also means I need to move Ravyn's crate away from the wall and get all of the fur behind it. Remind me why I love my fur-babies so much?!

So far today I am showered, dressed, bed made. I have my shopping list ready to go with the things I need in each store.

Clara- FLYLady also had a Body Clutter program (not to overwhelm you- but just so you know when you are ready). But in her reminders, she has 15 mins of exercise. It wasn't 15 min's, but I did some sit-ups and bicep curls last night. Might have only been a little bit, but better than nothing!

Her big message is that it doesn't have to be perfect. Since I have Type A/perfectionism/lack of confidence issues, that message is *so* helpful to me.

I have swapped a bunch of days around too.When the kids are in school, I have to go food shopping on Tues and WAH/Desk work on Mondays. You'll find a lot of ways to work around it.

Once last thing, when my guys were little, I used to have them help me, and would make them do a 5 minute Room Rescue every day. Since I have slacked off, they have too, but you can be sure I am going to get them back on track.
 
I'm up, dressed, girls dressed, beds made, dishes put away from dishwasher, and about to be out the door for breakfast/brunch followed by ATHA's FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!
 
UUUGGHHH!! not getting much done today...with DH home...it can be impossible!! have to pick up Cameran at 2...I have been up since 6:30 but doing computer work for DH and had to go out for about an hour...I hopped on here to check in for a couple of minutes..but have to leave again in a few....so I won't accomplish any goals today :(

Will try again tomorrow!!
 
I'm back on laundry. Hope to have it finished today. Have made my bed, dressed to my shoes. I've taken care of morning design business. Had breakfast and I've walked the dog. Now, I'm taking a break.

After my break, I plan to vacuum the bedroom, then empty the dishwasher, fold a load and then try and fit in some designing.

Dinner is leftovers so that's handled too. Took out some ground beef for tacos tomorrow. I need to remember to plan ahead on my meals.

Linda, I know what you mean with DH home. Mine is now home 3 days plus a week and it's messing with my plans. LOL
 
Chris - Don't worry about overloading me. I am so ready to do a complete overhaul on myself right now. I just feel like everything has fallen by the wayside and now it is time to get back on track. I'm trying to only start one thing at a time but knowing where to look next is so helpful. Thanks for letting me know about the body clutter.

So, right now I am decluttering my finances and my house. next is the body and then strangely enough my church is doing their annual big bring the church together, which is always 40 days of something. this year it is 40 days of clutter-free Christianity. How crazy is that?? I think it is time for everything to start coming together. Thanks for bringing this program to my attention Chris.
 
Oh, so I am not starting with the zones yet. I need to get the other habits down for now. I did look ahead though in the 1st 31 days and although I am not pushing any of the future things as habits it was a good reminder to make sure to do some of the other things I am already doing and make things easier for myself later. This is a problem I have always had. So...

last night I shined my sink. That was awesome. I have never felt so good doing the dishes

This morning - got dressed, made the bed, put the breakfast dishes in the sink and started the dishwasher, cleaned out the dishes from soaking black-eyed peas (rather than just putting it in the sink like usual) and got dinner started in the crock pot. It was a good morning.

So, something I need help with too, any suggestions are welcome. I have a bit of a computer problem. I am on my computer way too much. first thing in the morning, all day at work, then I come home and am still on the computer for the evening. How do you guys balance life IRL with life on the computer? I think something that will really help is going on a camping trip when we see Dave Matthews. I have decided I will not be bringing my computer. I just need to be more disciplined, but if I had discipline I wouldn't need all the declutter. Thoughts??
