sweet friend, what a terrible thing you had to do. even though it to spare her any further pain it is still such a hard thing to do!!! when you are starting feel a bit better, why don't you do a special little book for her, with all of your memories and photos in there, to share with us if you like or just for you, it might ease the pain a bit! lots of hugs Chris!! xx

awww, thanks everyone. Its still so hard. I hear Ravyn's nails and tags and I think its her.
I have lots and lots of pics of her, I should do a book of her- she was one funny dog.

Definitely do a book of photos or even LOs, Chris. Our cat died very suddenly and horribly a couple of months back and I created a "Book of Dave" (with thanks to Will Self's brilliant novel for the title idea) for the kids, which I've not posted here as it's not exactly an Oscraps product driven item, and is quite personal, but I'm so glad I did it. We'd only had Dave a short while, so there weren't years of stories to remember, but I wrote the journaling the day after he died as I wanted it all to be fresh (and indeed still being raw probably added an edge) in my mind. Cathartic and pleasing at the same time. I smile with the memories, not cry, when I look at it.

Chris, when I had to put Sebastian, our old lilac point, to sleep, dh had to stay home. He just couldn't face it. Recently when one of the new photobook companies sent me a coupon for a free mini -playing card sized - book, I just grabbed a bunch of Sebastian photos. (Having procrastinated, I only had one day to use the coupon!) I titled it - Sebastian, A Good Cat.

DH loved it but with his approval we gave it to the couple who cat-sat for us on our trips. They both cried...

btw, there are times when we feel as if we hear that old boy walking up and down the stairs too. Hugs!

Oh Chris! I'm so so sorry! Last year we lost one of our dogs after only 6 years, & this year we lost our cat that we'd had for 19years...I'm sorry you are going through this!

Yes, do her a memorial book Chris! Love you!
