OMG - thank you for sharing this, Heather. What a fabulous love story this is - it's brought tears to my eyes.
 
Thank you for sharing. What a lovely tribute to his father. Such a touching story, and so poignant, too. It broke my heart and warmed it all at the same time.

I'm in tears - a beautiful story of a son and father's love. I envy him in a way - there are so many things I wish I had said, or asked my father (and mother) and to have been there with them at the end.

I was so engrossed in the story, once I was finished I forgot where I actually came from (from this thread at the O)...couldn't remember if it was FB or where.....
 
Heather - thanks for the link... I snapped a picture of Mamaw sleeping - I even turned off the flash but I still got caught .... going to try to let her take a picture of my hand in hers... will see!
 
WOW such a powerful book. The sharing of memories, feelings in both photos and words....in his words what an amazing amazing gift.
