So, I'm typing away this morning and uh-oh. Something's wrong. I keep trying to type, but it doesn't feel right. Aha! One of the keys on my laptop is gone! There's just this little rubber "nub" sticking up and it's on the "c" key. Now the conundrum starts. It was working and intact last night so what happened?
Just then, I remembered that my cat jumped on my keyboard last night, just before I got ready to go to bed. I never let him do that, but he surprised me and kind of came out of nowhere. Of course, I told him "no" and scooped him off and set him on the floor. Bingo! His claws must have pulled the "c" key off. Now, where might it be? It's a little tiny thing on a dark wood floor, after all. I got my flashlight and voila! it was on the floor, under my desk, back in the corner. How DO those things move so far away?
So, what to do? I could type on that rubber "nub" but it's annoying, or I could go online and see how to fix it. I did the latter. It's a pretty easy fix, it turns out. To make a short story long, my "c" key is fixed and is as good as ever.
Have you ever lost one of the keys on your laptop/computer? Were you able to fix it?
