This is amazing! Thanks so much for remembering and mentioning my son. It was such a scary time when he was active duty. I am so grateful to live in this country and have a son who wanted to serve and protect. I am equally grateful to all who gave all. Thanks to all who continue to serve and to those who wait at home!

Clara - this is wonderful! I remember Christmas of 2002 with four girls at home 14, 12, 9 and 7 and my husband deployed to the middle east. We love him, but we also dearly love our country and count our blessings each day in thanks for all our vets and the sacrifices they have and will continue to make for all of us!

Oh, Clara this is so very special - you have not only honoured American Servicemen but other countries too.

My heartfelt thanks for your thoughtfulness, your caring and all your time and effort.

I'm going to try and print a copy to give to my brother - now 82 and retired. I know it will bring to tears to his eyes as it did mine.

We are truly blessed to have our families - those who serve their country now and in the past - and blessed to have dear friends at our "O" hOme.

God Bless

Jacqueline

Alrighty...so tributes are awesome I love love them...but even more I love to give out presents. The designers have been amazing and I was able to give away a gift basket away to all of our Veterans here at the O along with all of our supportive spouses. Isn't it cool??

Along with this cool gift basket we had a few extra prizes to give. We had 2 spouses who are facing deployments. What better way to lift their spirits than to give them a gift card??

Andrea Boyer is currently missing her husband who is in Afghanistan. This is not his first deployment, although his first to Afghanistan. So we gave her a GC card to Fei Fei's Stuff. Lucky girl. I love that store. Not quite worth having a deployed husband...but I'd definitely send my husband to Yakima (Eastern Washington...not a cool place for him).

Next we have Noel Culbertson. Her husband is about to be deployed with the with the Navy to Iraq. The week before deployment is one of the hardest. You just don't know what to do. There tends to be a lot of fighting, organizing, packing, stress, last minute repacking and tears. So she definately needs a coupon to use for when he leaves. So she gets a coupon for Danielle Young's store.

We also have a few leftover prizes from the giftbaskets that we are giving away with random.org to the people who participated in our Veteran's Day tribute. The first prizes are for Leiko Beck's store and they go to:
  1. landesc
  2. GinaF
  3. jensurge
And lastly we have 3 of the beautiful "Forever" kits from Mystique Designs. All of our veterans received one of these kits already so these are being given out randomly to everyone who participated in our Veteran's Day tribute. And the winners are:
  1. LindaPete
  2. sammdc
  3. mrstoa
