Happy Birthday, Valentines Day, Easter, 4th of July....and whatever else....

I am now the proud owner of a 50mm lens!!! YIPEE!!!!!!!

My fabulous little package came UPS the other day....from my 2nd favorite UPS man..bwhahahahahaha!!!! and then my little model Savannah was kind enough to give me a couple of decent shots...and with Springtime in the bud....I will be outdoors very soon snapping away!!!!! Hope you don't get tired of the leaves growing on my trees...HAHAHAHA!!!!

Well...here is what I have done so far (Grandmother or not....she is just too cute :becky: )

When I got my 50-200 I told Derek we had to get a divorce be cause I wanted to marry my lens...or else he would just have to be okay with me and my lens making out on occasion. I love that lens!!

Yay nana!!! Hope you will be using it lots this weekend so I cansee that sweet new baby too!

And I am not her G-ma, but that Little Princess is beyond cute!

I will be using for the baby....I want to take some of those COOL baby feet shots!! :)

Sara......my photo folders are already INSANE!!! I am going to need a 50 TB HD now..HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Speaking of.....that is my next purchase...a new HD...I am too close to filling my 500 GB...so it is time for a 1 or 2 TB!!!! ~sigh~ start saving again!!!!

Enjoy playing with your new baby while taking photos of the actual baby... LOL... :)

Oh Nana. What great photos. I really want a 50mm. Don't know why but everyone says they are the most wonderful things. So help me out here girls...why do I want a 50mm when my lens does 50mm now. (I really, really want this help!)

prime (one lens length, not zoom) lenses have wider apertures so you can control the depth of field better. Like I have the 50mm 1.8f lens which is a steal at around $100. My zoom lens is the 18mm - 200mm I think? but the f stop is 5.6, so I can't get a good blurred background if I want a smaller depth of field.
