Sometimes I can be a very cynical person, just look at the news for a few minutes and you'll see why. But yesterday I had a chance to reflect on how the majority of people are good, decent, and kind people.
Yesterday afternoon, a police officer comes to my door and asks for Scott (DS). Cailyn had just gotten off the phone with him so thank goodness I wasn't worried any that. Turns out that Scott had dropped his wallet- full of cash- at the thrift store and someone had dropped it at the police station. He was there to return it.
(Funny sidenote-- I am standing on the front steps, the dogs barking their heads off inside, and he notifies me that he has a body cam active-- I'm still in my PJs, slippers, and hair in a messy bun. And I don't mean a cute, fashionable messy bun- I mean *messy*-- talk about a wreck of a housewife stereotype, ROTFLMAO!)
That reminded me of the time that my DD lost her wallet- also full of cash as she was on her way to deposit money for her tuition payment. A woman found it, looked at her license for the address, and drove it over to the house.
In spite of the bad news and predictions that civilization is ending, there are good people, we just don't hear about them as much. I am sending up thanks to both of them, they made such a difference in my kids' lives.
If any of you have a similar story to share, I would love to hear it, that restores my soul ♥
