Glitterizing

always chatty at the O!!
Hey friends!!

Did you guys see the blog post about glitter styles in PSE? Irene has shown us some more fun tricks. So here's the deal. I never use glitter on stuff. I'm not sure if its from glitter overload having a 6 year old daughter or because I don't visualize it well. I occasionally use glitter splats behind photos.

So I'm wondering...how do you guys use glitter in your pages? How do you use glitter styles in your pages. I am just so thankful you can't dump over the glitter bottle on your project.

Sometimes I used glitter styles for alphas.

For girly page this is useful ! Or Valentine LO (but it's a bit late for 2013 ;-))

I also use glitter as splatter on the background usually behind clusters or sometimes when I use a font for title work I use a glitter action for that as well :)

O so scrappy!
Like Petra, I tend to spill glitter in the background. Like it would happen if I were really crafting with it.

I've only used my glitter styles on fonts to make my own titles. Might need to do some experimenting, I see :)

Sooo not a fan!!! LOL

Digital glitter is the only glitter I allow in my house!

(And I can't remember where I got that from...probably someone on Pinterest.)

LOL Sara! I looooooove glitter. I have nothing actually glitterized in my home, but I own bottles and bottles of it. I just love to look at it :)

I do use glitter digitally so I can get my shiny fix without the mess!

I love looking at glitter too. That's so funny. Glitter makes me itch. I wonder if there's dust or something in it. But I get all itchy.

I love digital glitter!! glitter styles are so easy to use.

The only thing i hate about it is loading the styles in PSE.

The loading itself is easy but it takes forever to start photoshop up again for the first time after adding new styles. I use PSE 5 (and 10, but still love 5).
I am glad that Jenn added the glitter tiles too, so when you want to use it for just one layout, you can clip the glitter to my element and don't have to install.

I like glitter too- well, I think it is a love/hate thing.

Digital glitter -- I usually will use it as a splat or splash on my page. Occasionally, I will use a glitter style to cover a shape, used as a mat. I like very fine glitter styles, just like I do IRL.

One of my BFF's husband HATES glitter. When our girls were in Preschool the teachers coated everything in inches of glitter. The girls adored it! My BFF had to bring paper bags in her car so she could put the glitter projects in them so they wouldn't drip glitter in her car.

Last year, Cait, Scott's friend Jen, and I confetti-glitter-bombed him and I am *still* vacuuming up bit of glitter. A year later. (but it was worth it!)

Vicki, I still use your glitter frames and wraps that you designed years ago :)

So...I've never used a style ever. I know nothing about them or how to use them. Like Diane said stuff is hard to load into PSE. Seriously considering upgrading because if that. Hmmmm...

Clara, I have the same with styles and PSE. So that's why I love those JPEG files in the glitter sets and the fact to can change them into a pattern.

I love to use glitters for alphas and little accents. And sometimes it works nice on a thin frame.

I used to use a lot of styles, specially metallic ones . Glitter does not appeal to me , no surprise there from a girl who doesn't do pink or bling either.;)

I do know that when you apply a style to something with lots of detail you need to make a copy of the original item and place it above the layer that you have applied a style to and then use overlay blend.
