Are you all looking forward to the final season of Game of Thrones?
I know I am, I can't wait for it to get started.
Yesterday someone told me the first episode will be broadcasted on April 14 in America. That means it will go live in The Nethlerlands on April 15.

I am so looking forward, but also a bit scared what will happen. So many shocking things happened in the past and (me too ) my daughters are madly in love with John Snow. It would be so terrible if something happened to him, wouldn't it?

Do you have your favorite persons at Game of Thrones?

I can not wait! We binge watched it when I was recovering from my first surgery and it was a great escape. I really hate having to wait a week between episodes now lol.

DH just can't 'get' that, re-reading a book I have already read, he is like "But you know what is going to happen!!??? Why bother???!" bwhahhaaaa!!! I often re-read my fave books! :)

I'm not really a television viewer ... and I have not seen a single episode of Game of Thrones ... my hubby saw them all and is waiting for the last season ...

I love the series.
I remember watching the first series. I got the dvds from the library and Maya and Haye were watching it and asked me to watch with them. I said no! Already saw so many blood and heads roll in the flashes i did see so i did not want to see it, i thought.
They loved it and wanted me to get the next season from the library, so i thought maybe i should try the first episode. And the second episode, and the third...
You get it, i was lost and watched it all!
I had two days to watch all of season 1 because i had to return the dvds!

I thought I was the only person on the planet that had never seen Game of Thrones! :) My daughters are after me all the time to watch it.

It's really bittersweet, I can't wait for it to start but I'm going to really miss this when it ends. We faithfully watched every episode.

My two faves are Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen but there are so many great characters and the acting is just so good. I also love Tyrion and Arya.

LOL!! I agree Diane there was/is a lot of blood and head rolling but it certainly fits in with how things would have been done. One of my sons actually talked me into watching it as well but my biggest concern was that I had already read all of the books and I was scared that the series wouldn't live up to them. Fortunately I was totally wrong, while they left out some bits and pieces, the series remained pretty true to the books and the acting was exceptional!

Can't say the same for Outlander though :( I had read the series quite a few times before the series was launched and yes, I was eager to see it. After three episodes I couldn't stay with it as 'Claire' drove me nuts!!LOL In my head she was not the Claire that I had read about in the books. :( Jaime was fine mind you! My sister and daughter, who had not read the books, absolutely loved the series and whenever I was in Sydney to visit they would need to watch that week's episode! lol! and another thing with that series was that it didn't follow the books all that well which also put me off a bit.

Sometimes I think it's better that a book isn't made into a movie, or that I stop reading the books first! lol!! Does anyone feel the same way? :?:

I'm moving my reply to Ona's question to a new thread so it's not in a game of thrones discussion since I don't mention GOT at all in it lol
