I am starting to get hooked on art journaling pages and really love to use grungy fonts in them.

As many of you know (*cough Sara cough*) I am a total Fontaholic. Can't get enough fonts! What are your favorite fonts for artsy/art journaling pages?

I like Broken, Smash, For the 100th Time, 1942 report and am looking to add some more.
Hook me up! :p

always chatty at the O!!
So...I decided a couple of days ago that I do in fact hate fonts. I love them but hate them. I can never find the right ones. I need to use my direct access to the font doctor much more often.

That being said...I use traveling typewriter for most everything. It's not grungy exactly and I don't use the one with the letters that go up and down but it's a little grungier than regular type stuff.

You would post about fonts when the doctor is out if town and only on a phone! Lol try sketch block. I like that one. And I love Rage!

I never got a chance to check these out yesterday. But I want to do this today.
Thanks for all of your suggestions.

Clara, I don't have all of my fonts installed. Since I use ACDSee, I keep most of mine in separate folders (Handwriting, Typewriter, Grungy, etc). It makes it easier for me to find what I am looking for. When I do, I can "rebuild Metadata" (don't ask me what it means, I just know it works! :D) and then it loads the font temporarily in PS.

Chris, i had no idea you could do this with ACDSee. i am going to have to figure this out...so you can see what a font really looks like? in ps the thumbnails are way too small in text tool preview for my old eyes.

Adryane, I know that there used to be tutorials online on how to change the word in Photo Manager to see the fonts better. I have mine set to say Brown Fox and you can make the Thumbnails of the fonts as big as you like. I have two monitors, so sometimes when I scrap and AJ page, I have the one monitor on the Font Folder and the other is on Photoshop, just for that reason of not being able to really see the font.

I found this that I had posted years ago:
You can create your own categories in ACDSee. What I did is I brought all of my uninstalled fonts into a subfolder under my Scrapbooking Folder. This is in my "tree" on the left side.
Then I created sub-folders in that- for different styles of fonts.
I used
Handwriting, Script, dingbats, Billboard, Sports, Girlie, Grungy etc.
Then I just went through all of my thumbnails and dragged them to the right folder.
When I want to use the fonts, I go to the folder I want to use- for ex. Handwriting if I want to journal. Select all thumbs, Go up to Database | Rebuild thumbnail metadata

The I open my editing program and they are loaded in it.

Not sure if that helps at all, but it was all I could find. DigiScrapInfo.com had so many good tutorials and I am sad to see them go. I know that it was there at one time.
