Cripes, this is making me nutty. Do any of you know anyone at all who has had any sort of luck with an Etsy Shop or an Ebay Shop?
I am desperate to get some more money rolling in, since I am not going to be working for MIL any more.

I keep hearing how fees kill you. And I do have my own website for products.
Agh!

I am just so confused!!!!!!!

Girl I feel ya! We just started up our own little business and I'm trying to get word out! We haven't done anything one Ebay or Etsy because of the fees so far...but I do have pages up on just about every Networking site I can find. Places like Facebook. I don't intend on putting much of anything on then other than updates, coupons, that sort of thing but thought it might help! We will see! I've actually done more by just printing out some WAY simple little brochures and hitting like WalMart and putting them on windshields! I have to start somewhere since we need the income in order to do much of anything!

I had a friend at another site mention this place...

Plumdrop

It is a networking site for Sellers...I plan on adding a page, you may wanna give it a shot! If you do when I get mine up we could link together! :) Never know!

sorry i dont have much advice , Ive never even heard of Esty.....I did checkout that Plumdrop site Kristen mentioned and it looks pretty cool! Goo dluck Chris!!

i {heart} Etsy...and i think the fees are less than ebay...I'm about to get a site up there...maybe...when life cools down a bit!! bwahahahahahh!!

There also is a networking site called My Handmade Registry. Check that one out...it's kinda like facebook, only for handmakers! LOL!! I'm on there!! :)

Hey Sally! I hit that site! Nice! If you get me your name or email..whatever it is it wants and I'll list you as my referral :)

Chris - I know that Kim Wresh (the digital scrapbooker) has an Etsy store. But she does it with her vinyl wall art. You could ask her. She's so nice and friendly.

You could look into doing parties...like with pampered chef, markay or party lite. That could help get the word out locally. I want to order something from you too. I've been meaning to anyway for awhile. I'll send you a PM about it. Also, if you have an artsy district where you live look into selling your stuff in their shops, or a flower shop or something like that.

Thank you guys!

Kristin- I joined Plumdrop, and did nothing with it yet and all of these people added me as a Friend- too cool!
I also spent hours yesterday trying to set up a store on eCrater.com

Sally, I am going to check out that Handmade site too.

Clara- Pm'd ya back!! TY!!!!!!
And Clara- thank you seriously- sometimes all it takes is a little kick in the butt to get creating again, maybe this will be it!

And yes, I have 3 shops in my area I want to see if I could sell on consignment. I just have to get the product sampler baskets kind of ready to bring with me to make my presentations. I have been putting it off, because I have been sick and very *very* unmotivated.
Like I said, thanks for the kick in the butt to get me going. :)
