Gah! I am such the dork! Yes, the Dorky-O. ;)

I have a tendency to want to do so many thing,s can't keep up, get discouraged and then feel like a loser. Can anyone relate?
(lie and say, of course, Chris, I feel like that too LOL)

Anyway- I would already be a week behind..... I already have enough going on in my life.... but I think this project would be fun. And how long could it take to do a photo a day?

So my O-Fam, I am asking you...
Should I or shouldn't I!?

Do it...it will be fun...it's quick and you can jump right in. Don't worry about last week....skip it or run through 1/6 next year.

I think you should, because of how wonderful it will be later to look at your life daily!! I keep thinking I'm just gonna take pics everyday without the pressure!! I honestly think I have...so any pics you may have taken this last week totally count!! :)

and just to encourage you a bit more...(analogy coming...hold on to your hats!! LOL)
there's a song that has a lot of words in it, and when this other worship leader was singing it really fast, i was like...i can't sing it that fast...no breath!! he said, you have to take it slowly in your brain...fit the words in the time...it'll work...work it in...

ok...another musical analogy (doesn't it seem like I'm convincing myself?LOL!!) ...
There was this piece I was playing on the cello that I just kept thinking was too fast for me to handle. My cello teacher reminded me, if you continue to breathe through this passage, it will make it a lot easier to play and you won't be quite as nervous about it either! It soooo totally worked!!!

hth...me and my goofy musical analogies!!

Chris, you should totally do it!! I started on Jan 1st and even though the pics are still in the camera, I feel good just snapping a tidbit of everyday life. You don't have to upload everyday, just take them, and then do it weekly, biweekly, whatever. I'll be dling mine today, so I can share.

Chris...I was thinking the exact same thing. So, if you do it I'll do it and then we can be dorky-Os together and be a week short. I say we make it exactly 1 week short and start on the 8th. I have two cameras so I'm thinking I will dedicate one to this project that way I don't have to download everyday. You could do the same thing with an extra memory card or something. So, that is my thought for you.

Chris...Do it...just do the best you can do and don't add pressure if you miss a day :) I saw it through Linda's project and thought that would make a great journaling album :) I was a week behind and I am sure that I will forget a couple days here and there but the concept is fabulous to capture what your life is like on a daily basis! So I am just going to do the best I can and make a book :)

Chris, I say yes, do it! I am not sure if I will do layouts of all of them, but I love the concept, and I like posting the photos to flickr even if I don't get to scrap them. :) Jump in!!

I'd love to see everyone else's photos too! Mine are on flickr.

You should do it! I have been doing it with a couple of friends and it's been an absolute blast so far. Plus, you get a ton of material for scrapping. :)

I think that you should consider posting to Flickr or a blog. Like ME said or Tessie's doing. Then you won't feel the pressure of doing layouts with them. Either that or I might put all the month's pics on one layout or two 8 x 8's and not spiffy them up much. I haven't totally decided yet.

Chris, you don't have to sign up anywhere, however I know that both SBG and Pickleberry Pop have challenges/forums dedicated to Project 365. They are both giving away templates, so if you're in the need of some good ones, go for it!

I vote YES! I'm loving this. My plan is to scrap weekly. I'm not nearly as interested in how the scrapping looks as how this book turns out. I can only imagine how I would love to have something like this from when I was the age of Sydney and Shaun.
My blog is www.linda365project.blogspot.com

oh yes, love it Linda!!!

I am not sure if I should start a new blog for it, put it on my main blog or just use flickr....

I just decided to start last night. ;) I had only missed 2 days, so I'm ok with that.

I'm putting my pics on Facebook in a special album.

I'm doing it like Cindy is! I'm taking pics and then doing them weekly or monthly depending on how I feel. It's fun taking different pics each day. I think I might have MORE than 365 when I'm done! I'm also combining it with my happy thoughts!!!

Thanks everyone. If anyone is blogging or has a Flickr account to share, please post so I can follow along. I'm loving following along. (And tonight I'm posting last night's photo and tonight's photo...and not going to worry about not being perfect! Progress on my perfectionistic personality at this advanced age...fabulous!)

ROTF! OK, who are the two people who voted "I am nuts" JK!

I am all up to date on pics, today I figure out how to best post them.
Tacky question- I have a flickr account, which is almost maxed out for the free membership- is it "legal" to start a new account under a different email?
I love using flickr b/c I can upload in one step right from ACDSee Photo Manager. I download and tag them in PM, click the upload to to flickr and I am done.

Does anyone have a "Paid" membership to flickr? Is it worth it? (Not that I have the $$, just ideas floating in my my that need to escape :D)

I have free and have maxed out. I started looking at other places to upload my photos. Shutterfly, Photobucket, even Facebook. Although I did consider for a brief time getting a premium account. I pay for a "Mobile Me" account from Mac, so that's all I'll pay for. And I can host my photos there and put up web pages for my family, blog, RSS, etc.

I would say, start a new account under a different email or go to a different service, there are plenty of them. =)
