Do you enjoy shopping right before Christmas?

We had to go to Walmart today - I needed a few things for myself, so my hubby said he'd go with me. I'm not a fan of going to any big box store the two weeks before Christmas. How about you?

Disclaimer: I USED to love going out that last week and watching people grabbing things. LOL Not anymore. I hope I'm done until after Christmas.

I might be crazy, but I think I'm going back tomorrow. I got some stretch pants today and love them so much I want to go back and get more before they're gone.

I HATE shopping on a good day. Forget about the holidays!! I only went out twice to do in-person shopping this year. I have maybe one more run, but that's going to be limited to the very small shops in my town, the feed store for dog toys and possibly the liquor store.
Online shopping was made for me LOL

This must be why that store wasn't crazy busy yesterday. Everybody is online shopping.

Before COVID I shopped all year long for folks. It spread the cost out & then I was done before the Christmas rush. The last couple of years I've bought online & had the item delivered to the person. This is year I was really on top of it & had their stuff bought & delivered in November.

I did do Black Friday one year, but learned my lesson. Haven't done that since. LOL

I used to love going out the last few weeks of Xmas to shop, enjoying the store music, the holiday cheer from everyone and the pretty displays and lights but for a number of years now I have wanted to stay away as much as possible in December. I live a few minutes away from a large mall and the traffic and crowds are crazy around here. I used to enjoy wandering for hours, browsing and finding the best deals, then doubling back to get what I wanted. These days, I order online if I can or pop into a store first thing in the morning.

I REALLY did too Rae. I remember telling somebody, a few years ago, that I loved doing that. Not anymore - no thank you. LOL

I like roaming around the mall... all the pretty decorations, lights, santas... it makes me feel festive and boosts my creativity and makes me want to create a fairytale wonderland at home... it hasn't been the same these past two years, with covid and all. *sigh.. sometimes I buy something there and then - like a box of Christmas tea or a candle, but more often than not, especially if it's crowded, I will snap a pic, go home, mull it over and then buy online...

that's some serious planning... I used to do that in the past because you had to buy it when you saw it, but now, with online... I like to get into my own personal Christmas rush... from the comfort of my couch... lol

That sounds like fun, though even if you don't buy much. It would get one in the Christmas Spirit.

I started shopping really early this year, too. Like the end of October. I had gifts to go out of state and wanted to make sure I got them and got them delivered.

I love shopping in my jammies, on my couch. :)
