Happy Boxing Day to those who celebrate it.

And to those, like Eva, who survived Christmas...Congratulations!

Back to work for me. Ugh... Bet I don't get much done. Brian will drop Shaun off at day care for the afternoon and then pick up my 13 year old niece who will come stay with Sydney for the afternoon.

I am so proud of myself. Kept my blood sugars in the optimal range through all of the holiday food over the long weekend and lost 2 1/2 pounds! Doing a happy dance here for sure.

Hope that you all have a good day! I may get back in here later tonight!

Good morning my O-zies!!!

I got a chance to sleep a bit late (6 am!! LOL) but the house is a total disaster so it looks like I am gonna be doing a lot of clean up today. We had a very successful and happy day yesterday and I love seeing all of my family around me. My kids got me the best gifts-- Scott got me a wind chime that has the words happiness, health, love, good luck and do on written on it. He picked that out b/c I said that what I wanted for Christmas was fr my family to be happy. Cait got me a salt crystal candle holder that is supposed to help with migraines, anxiety and so on. Best kids ever.

My mom totally lost it when I have her the Family Album I made for her. Lost it. Couldn't stop crying. I guess that is good??:)

We are under a winter storm warning too today. And of course out snow blower is still not working. Good news-- Scott is home and we can make him do it.

Linda S- have a nice day at work.

Laurie-- be safe!!

Catching up-

Nancy- were you able to get any pics of the luminarias? I can never get night pics to come out good, but I bet they were gorgeous! Good news for NJ-- my IL's got us a generator for Christmas so you know that means no more major storms for the area!! hahahaha!!!

Eva- sounds like you had a wonderful day!!! Great news about your Dad!

Laurie- have fun with that silhouette! be safe today. If lots of patients cancel, will the company let you leave early?

Phyllis- hope you and your DD had a wonderful dinner and that she made it home safe and sound too.
How has your head and eyes been? Any better?

Trudy- bet you wanted to reach through your monitor and hugs your g-kids! Hope that you have a safe trip as well.

The weather seems crazy all over North America today!

Linda S-- awwww, thank you for thinking of me! I think you need to get some new iTunes accounts STAT!!! :D

good morning all! Had a great time celebrating Christmas at my son's and DIl's with all of my DIL's family. This time they were even successful in getting Grandmother to come. She is 90 years old and while she is slow getting up and down her mind is sharp as a tack. It was fun talking to her. She has amazing stories from her time in Poland just before the start of WWII. My DH gave me a printout of all the Sat and Sun Albany Devils games and said pick three. He knows me well. Chaz gave me the Jane Fonda Yoga for beginners for older folks like me who just want to try and stay flexible. Zach and Amanda gave me Cardinal Christmas ornaments. How sweet. Amanda loved her wedding album pages. It was fun to do. But the funniest was that both my DH and Chaz forgot to bring their gifts. We all knew we were leaving at 2:30 but they both were rushing and we left late so they forgot. LOL Opps I guess they should have put me in charge of remembering. In my house I am always waiting for the boys to leave. And on a really good note. I did a wedding album for my girlfriend as a surprise for her new in-laws and when her daughter called her she said her MIL opened it and was crying (good tears) she was so touched. I know I liked all the pages and Elaine did too but still this was so nice to hear. I have to give total kudos to all here at the O for inspiration and to Anna Aspnes for her designs.

Chris - yes I took one photo but it is a little blurry. Should have used my tripod. I hate to say this but we bought a generator after Irene and it did not keep Sandy away. But I am hopeful that your generator will bring more luck to NJ than ours did. Stay safe with the wicked weather heading our way.

Eva - sounds like a great day and so glad you dad is doing better.

Laurie cant wait to hear how the silhouette works. Careful in your blizzard.

Phylis - hope you had a great dinner with you DD.

Have a great day!

ick!! the day looks gloomy, i just heard some ice pinging off the window, and there is a Mystery Mix of precip expected today. nowhere to go, TG, so it may be jammies until noon!! hubby is home on vacation for the week. so far so good with THAT!

Linda, good for you re: the BS readings. hard to do around the holidays!!

Linda and Laurie---BOOO to going to work the day after Christmas!! there should be a law.

lots of crying for digiART gifts!! that's a GOOD thing!!!!

Chris, i had one of those ocular migraines yesterday evening. it only lasted for about 20 minutes, and i blame it on me and the computer screen interacting yesterday afternoon. i was looking at it for too long, apparently. well, it could be worse. i could be getting the ACTUAL painful migraines and not the zig-zaggies in my eyes kind!

yesterday and Christmas Eve with DD and hubby were good. small, compared to what i'm used to, but good. no one fought, no one made unwelcome announcements, the food turned out great.things seemed good. i'm happy.

whew. well, on to another year. let's hope it's a good one!

I had a wonderful Christmas day. Had about ten family members over for an early dinner. As soon as the kitchen was cleaned up Craig and I left in the motorhome for a five day trip. We met our best buddies for five days of golfing and a little gambling. Although, we woke up to freezing weather--don't know how much golfing we will get in over the next few days.

I really need to break out my computer and do some scrapping.

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning...well...I guess it is afternoon but it still feels like morning. I am also working today. The girl who is suppoed to be working in the OR is on leave and I am back up so here I am on the computer waiting for a case to start where they need x-ray. Fun times. I am starving and need some lunch but there is just one more case and then I'm all done. Very light schedule this week but they all seem to need x-ray. Go figure.

Christmas was great. A friend of ours was out of town and we invited the person who is watching his house for dinner. They live about a block away so we used that oven to cook prime rib and then I had our oven to cook everything else. It made for very low stress and I even fit in a small Christmas nap. All the kids gifts were a hit. We got my daughter this big vanity and painted it black with pink accents so that she had a rock star makeup station...not that she has anything more than lip gloss to put on but she loves it. She set it all up all day yesterday. Ethan got a helicopter from my sister so he played with that all day. It was really a pretty low key laid back Christmas which is always so nice. No traveling is my favorite.

Well, I'd better go see if the next case is ready for me. I didn't take my phone or kindle into the last one and wish I had so I will definitely be grabbing them this time. I could play Sudoku all day on my phone. Have a great day.

We have this saying in Sweden that goes something like "If it's not one thing, it's another, said the lady who had nose bleed" ... Dad is fine, we've been there today, and he was very happy. He'd eaten food, and it tasted good - he even had two plates. He looked so well! But now Mom called. My sister have been taken to the hospital. She was nauseaus and couldn't eat, and what she ate came up again. It's the chemo. F*** cancer! They had told her she'd probably wouldn't have any of these problem until the third time she had the chemo & radiation, but she's only had it once. Even though I know this is supposed to happen, it's not ok. I really really hate cancer.

Eva that sucks- there is anti nausea meds- my brother gets them when his chemo makes him sick.

Work closed at two, but my last pt was earlier, so I got to come home- 40 min at 20 mph only several fish tale incidents- I had quite the trail of vehicles behind me, however no one not even the truck behind me passed me. So no where to go for several days- and even better my husband started out and turned around due to freezing rain and he is home now for several days as well. Now off to try my silhouette!

JEN!!!! hiya, and congrats on your new son!! glad you're feeling better. C-sections are literally "a pain," i know!

Clara, neat to have a job where you can have some "downtime."

Eva, one of my best friends has just finished up her (extensive) chemo and radiation. it is a sickening experience. there are anti-nausea drugs for chemo patients. is she able to start those? my friend and my sister took them and it really helped. it may help her get through this awfulness. good luck to her.

I'm sure my sis will get those meds. I guess it was a bit of surprise that she got so sick from the first time. Good thing she's at the hospital and get proper help. I hope to hear more tomorrow.

Having an amazing day here. I am in my warm housecoat, it's positively freezing outside, I did 5 layouts today thanks to Anna's new templates and I have been reading some of my new Nate Berkus book and absolutely loving it. A wonderful day. I am thinking about the new year and what I want from it or more what I want to give to it. I am thinking about my word - Faith and all that it means to me. I am thinking about scrap booking and project life and all I want to do with that. I love these kinds of days!
