Today is Tip for Tuesdays!!!

I had a GREAT tip... and it's currently floated out of my head... I'll think about it as I write...

So, Monday went OK, I was totally a zombie during the parts of the day when I was awake. Like I said in the last daily thread, I woke up to a friend needing website help, which left both of us scratching our heads. Even though the code was in the right file, it wasn't appearing on the site, old code was, even after clearing our caches, etc. Anyways, geekiness aside, we figured it out!
Then, Jeff and I went to the paintball store to get him a bag of paint balls to go play with his officers on their director's land just below Yosemite. Well, they canceled on him last night, want to wait until next pay day. I don't see how they blew their entire paychecks in five days... but whatever.
I was just surprised that there's an actual paintball store in existence, and still operating in this economy!
Well, after that, it was time for Jeff to go to work... and I full on passed out until dinner time. So, I wasn't drowsy anymore, but I was definitely feeling worse. Definitely a sinus infection :'-( Hooray for heyitsfree.com pointing me to a free sinus rinse bottle from Neil-med, I should be able to get over this monster within the week.
We still haven't gone to bed, Jeff's playing his video games and I'm simply trying to stay alive. I have two appraisal reports first thing when I wake up, I only have three hours to get them done. Gah. Tonight I'll be making my grandma's ground beef stroganoff recipe, hopefully it's a hit bc all the ingredients are things I usually have on hand. It looks easy enough for Jeff to make if I'm worse in the evening.

Ok, sorry for the novel... onto my tip!

Photoshop Users...
You can easily align layers to each other using the ... tool that's on the top of the tool list, lol. I can't remember, its the one that comes up if you hit "v" on the keyboard.
Anyways, on the tool settings toolbar thing, if you have multiple layers selected in your layers pallet (hold down on CTRL/command and click the NAMES not the PREVIEW to select)... you can use the buttons on the tool attributes toolbar to align them different ways. For example, you can center them all, align them to the right, left, horizontally & vertically! It's great for making a clean layout, or creating word art.

ETA: The word art on this LO is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. I aligned the "when the water is" to the same left edge as "CHILLY" and "dive on in" to the right edge.

Hi ladies, hope you are all having a good day. C. woke me up at 5 am. Ugh! Not quite ready to start my day at 5 am - still had another hour before the alarm was ready to go off. I had stayed up a little late last night watching some holiday movie I had tivo'ed from the Hallmark Channel. Confession - I am drawn to these cheesy movies - they are so sweet!! LOL

Meg - hope you are feeling better and got some good sleep. Thanks for the photoshop tip.

Hi Laurie!

Linda - happy birthday to your boys!!

Clara - does your area have a craigslist? You could try to sell them there. Or maybe ebay? Sorry to hear that Derek's grandfather is not doing so well, but it's really great that you all can go spend some time with him.

Have a terrific Tuesday. Hey, I am alliterative! ;-)

Just realized I never got on here yesterday. I did I think 4 pages though. I spent most of yesterday studying for our muscle practical. I have 2 more days to memorize 48 more muscles. I can do this! Talk about being a procrastinator, I think I am the worst!

I am pet sitting this week. Funniest thing. I tried starting a pet sitting business (Kat's Country Critters) even have it licensed in the county! But alas in a whole year I had only 2 customers. But a month ago as I began considering homeschooling and wondering if I do that what is the point of college, I get not 1 but 2 calls for pet siting! I don't know if God is giving me a second opportunity, or if Satan is trying to lead me astray. So for now I will just continue with school and see where life takes me. Reistration for next semester is tomorrow already. Only 1 more month of A and p 1! Then on to AP2. Pppllllbbbbtttttt!:faint:

off to start the day, run out to the farm and hopefully finally find a new home for my horse. He will be going to a farm in jersey to a young girl. That is if they take him like they say. Fingers crossed and lots of prayers!

Hi My O-Fam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I missed you all so much!
I had a really awesome vacation. It was so much fun. I hope that i got some good pics- it sure is different being in Disney with teens instead of with little ones.
In some ways it was so much better, no stroller, no tears, so waiting in line for hours for Cinderella and Dumbo... but some of the magic was missing too. I always choked up when I saw my kids faces see Mickey and the Castle.... now it was just a bee line for the rides LOL

Meanwhile I have a load of laundry already in, on my 4th cup of coffee and wishing for a nap!

Love to you all!

Welcome home, Chris. Can't wait to see your photos at "Mickey Park". This is what C. calls Disney.

Morning Ladies  I never did make it in here last night so will quickly do personals for today, off to work again this morning then 2 days off. One of them is for Rememberance Day and my hubby will be marching in full dress Red Serge for the parade. Always get so choked up at these parades!! Love all the men and women that protect us!!

Meg- thanks for the great tip today, I will definately have to try that one out!! Hope your sinus trouble clears up!

Laurie - Back to work after such a nice long holiday... it is tough to get back into the swing of things, but hope you have a great day anyways! Thanks for the concern over my jaw problem, it is still the same and I am getting sick of the pain, but try to keep positive that it will correct itself.

Nana Linda - How wonderful that you get to spend your grandsons birthday with him, it would be great if you could have them both with you, but I know that you will enjoy this special day! Happy Birthday to them both :bday:
Me - I think that maybe a nap is in order later on today!! I am also a sucker for those cheesy movies especially the christmas ones!! Enjoy them!!

Katrina - LOL on the pet sitting story!! Good luck memorizing your muscle groups!! I could never go back to school, my mind is now in a state of menopausal mush!! Hope your day is great!

Chris - Welcome back to "O" land, sounds like you had fun at Mickey's house!! I am looking forward to our trip in January and we will have two small ones to pack around with us horray!!!! Ugh on the :washing: though , it's the worst part of getting back home. Hope it goes quickly for you so you can get in here and scrap some of your photos from your trip!

Well gotta run, be back later today hopefully, have a great tuesday everyone and to all those that I missed I'm sorry, but I love ya all!!

Hey ladies. I'm gonna be quick. Crazy, I know...But I am gonna try. Today is DH's bday and I have a few errands to run before I go and get him some lunch and we have some DR appts at the hospital. FINALLY getting started on having Ethan evaluated on the ADD stuff. Then back home to start packing for our trip tomorrow. Laurie - we may have to come and visit you when we are up there at Cmas time. I'll be there for almost 2 weeks then. It's a thought.

Thanks for the ideas guys for the tickets. I already put them online on craigslist in Roanoke where Linda is at. She is a lot closer to where the concert is so I'm hoping they will sell. Plus I added a little sob story in there. Fingers crossed. I am soooooo bummed. These are the second set of tix I am selling this year to see him and I see him every year so this is just a total bummer. I just live for his concerts. Sucks for me.

Alright. I have to try and get out of the house. Hugs and I'll try and get back here later.

Oh...Katrina - why can't you go to school and homeschool??

So very bummed right now. My horse is now at a new home with a little 14 yr old girl to dote on him. He was terrified to get into the trailer which is so not like him. He let me scratch his forehead and actually put his head down and half closed his eyes, he doesn't do that. When I first got him, you couldn't go near his head. So I am supposed to be studying right now and my heart just isn't in it. Nothing is sticking in my head, it is just jumbling up and confusing me. But I can't use that as an excuse. My test is tomorrow and I still have to learn all the muscles in the lower extremity.

Clara: I can homeschool and go to college, but not in PTA school. It is 8am to 5pm. The real problem is homeschool and work days. It just wouldn't work.

Hi lady-Os! I hope everyone is doing ok.

Chris-I'm with you, I could use a nap! Welcome back from Mickey World :).

ME-how are you doing?

Clara-I'm so sorry about your tix :( and for the reason you're having to miss DMB.

Linda-Happy Birthday to the young men!! So neat to have 2 at once :).

Katrina-I'm so sorry about your horse, I can imagine how painful that was for you :(.

Everyone-have a blessed evening!
Story of my life...another quick fly-by. Today has been kind of sucky. I brought home my newest baby bunny yesterday, Lily, and Frisky is kind of not excited about it...he actually bit me in the fleshy part of my left hand today and oh man does it hurt! :(. Not his fault of course he was just protecting his domain LOL. I think I'm coming down with something though, my throat hurts and I'm extra tired and achy today, yuck. I have managed to do a little scrapping the last few days though :). I'll have to get cooking on the November challenges soon!

xoxoxo

Congrats with your DH's birthday Clara!! I hope you are feeling better yourself.

Trudy how are you hanging in there hon?

Katrina, that's sad about your horse. I think no matter what animal you have you get attached to them so to have to say goodbye hurts. Hugs to you!

I'm personally feeling like this :ranger: only slightly more tired. I'm just sleeping, sleeping, sleeping gah! Well I guess since we're home until Friday I better take full use of it!
Not much else going on, just checking in and saying hi!!

Hey Clara say Happy Birthday to your hubby!! That is sad that you had to sell your tickets, wish I was close so I could buy them!

Katrina - oh so sad that you have lost your horse, I hope that he will be very happy in his new home and that they treat him with all the love he deserves!! I noticed you commented on my layout about riding therapy for my daughter. She had viral encephilitis and her balance is not good, but riding therapy was just the best thing for her and she loved it!! It was the only therapy that didn't feel like therapy. Sadly she no longer takes it now that she is living in Ontario, but I have kept her riding hat and boots just in case. The riding centre was just 5 mins. from our house with lots of wonderful trails to ride on so it was perfect. I hope that you get to be an instructor one day soon, the instructors are so kind and caring and seem to really love their jobs!! It would be a rewarding job that is for sure!!

Petra - Oh so sleepy !! But you better catch up before your next trip!! Thanks for the concern, I am hanging in there and waiting patiently for this jaw of mine to correct itself, so far it's not happening and I am STARVING!!!! Would love nothing better than to bite into a big juicy steak, but its soup for me ugh!!
