Today is Tip for Tuesdays!!!
I had a GREAT tip... and it's currently floated out of my head... I'll think about it as I write...
So, Monday went OK, I was totally a zombie during the parts of the day when I was awake. Like I said in the last daily thread, I woke up to a friend needing website help, which left both of us scratching our heads. Even though the code was in the right file, it wasn't appearing on the site, old code was, even after clearing our caches, etc. Anyways, geekiness aside, we figured it out!
Then, Jeff and I went to the paintball store to get him a bag of paint balls to go play with his officers on their director's land just below Yosemite. Well, they canceled on him last night, want to wait until next pay day. I don't see how they blew their entire paychecks in five days... but whatever.
I was just surprised that there's an actual paintball store in existence, and still operating in this economy!
Well, after that, it was time for Jeff to go to work... and I full on passed out until dinner time. So, I wasn't drowsy anymore, but I was definitely feeling worse. Definitely a sinus infection :'-( Hooray for heyitsfree.com pointing me to a free sinus rinse bottle from Neil-med, I should be able to get over this monster within the week.
We still haven't gone to bed, Jeff's playing his video games and I'm simply trying to stay alive. I have two appraisal reports first thing when I wake up, I only have three hours to get them done. Gah. Tonight I'll be making my grandma's ground beef stroganoff recipe, hopefully it's a hit bc all the ingredients are things I usually have on hand. It looks easy enough for Jeff to make if I'm worse in the evening.
Ok, sorry for the novel... onto my tip!
Photoshop Users...
You can easily align layers to each other using the ... tool that's on the top of the tool list, lol. I can't remember, its the one that comes up if you hit "v" on the keyboard.
Anyways, on the tool settings toolbar thing, if you have multiple layers selected in your layers pallet (hold down on CTRL/command and click the NAMES not the PREVIEW to select)... you can use the buttons on the tool attributes toolbar to align them different ways. For example, you can center them all, align them to the right, left, horizontally & vertically! It's great for making a clean layout, or creating word art.
ETA: The word art on this LO is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. I aligned the "when the water is" to the same left edge as "CHILLY" and "dive on in" to the right edge.
