Good morning ladies!!
Happy Tuesday!! I'm a little anxious today. Waiting for my bloodwork. Not sure if it will come in today or not. I hope so. I want to know what is going on in my body. Ugh!!
Today we are going to get Ethan's passport for our cruise. Yay. We go next month. That means I need to send a message to Cynthia. I am hoping getting a passport isn't a problem though. I can't find his certificate of birth abroad, but I have his birth certificate and passport saying he's a US citizen. I don't even know who to contact to get a new copy of that form. The last time I had it was when he applied for kindergarten. Hmmmm...
Anyway, I started trying to eat better this week, like I said no sugar, and I even started working out by jumping on a mini trampoline yesterday with a coworker at lunchtime. I'm hoping having someone to do it with helps. I'm the biggest slacker.
So, how about some personals:
Laurie - You are a better woman than me. If I see snow I climb into bed and go back to sleep. I live in Western Washington and everything closes down when it snows. We don't have the equipment for it and everyone acts crazy when it snows. Plus we don't really have good snow gear and stuff doesn't fit right so we get really cold really fast. Awesome for you to take care of the snow on your own. That would just be an excuse for me to not leave my house or take care of anything. I'm horrible about that type of stuff. What does your DH do that has him away during the week?
LindaS - Keep warm lady!! I hope you were able to get the kids up and moving so that you could be on time. I hope your busy week doesn't wear you out too bad.
Andrea - good luck at today and tomorrow's appointments for Gen. I'm sure everything will go great. the anesthesiologists are generally really good with the kids. all the ones i've seen are anyway. mri's give awesome information, so this will be good. What was the post office busy for? Christmas is over. That is strange.
Soco - get better soon sweetie. I hope your little one likes to cuddle when she is sick and you guys can snuggle on the couch and watch cartoons all day. Feel better!!
Chris - Crazy lady!! Slow down!! Have a fantastic day!! Yeah right as if that's going to happen. Take a minute for you please.
LindaW - I don't know. If all that stuff is so important I'm sure it will only take a day for $20 to get to you in the mail. If it were that important they wouldn't have forgotten it in the first place. Forgotten phone chargers always seem to be about the time it is time I bought a car charger. But that's just me. I still have a laptop at my house because someone never reimbursed me for shipping a few boxes to them. But it cost me $70 to ship her stuff. A phone charger doesn't cost much at walmart. they can get their stuff the next time they come. They aren't very grateful people anyway. Not to add fuel to the fire, but seriously. I don't like them being mean to my nana linda.
Sally - that stinks being sick for so long. I'm glad you seem to be turning the corner. definitely take your time getting better and into the swing of things. i'm slowly taking down christmas too. although all the christmas stuff i took down is in boxes in the middle of my living room. lol!! one thing at a time.
andreaNYX - that is awesome that you have a doctor that listened to you. I am so happy for you about that and i hope that you get some answers soon. don't you worry about that endoscopy. it really isn't that bad. you won't remember the procedure at all. just so you know a little about me...i am an x-ray tech (they use some x-ray in endoscopy). at the hospital i work for they have 3 techs in the endo and a doctor. an endo tech, a nurse and an x-ray tech. the endo tech helps the doctor, the nurse does the meds and the x-ray tech runs the fluoroscopy machine (video x-ray). the nurse gives you anesthesia that makes you sleepy in a way that makes you not remember the procedure but you are awake enough to follow directions they give you. If you were to be awake it would be an uncomfortable procedure, which is why they let you be asleep and let you forget the procedure. So there is no reason to be afraid of it.
The GI scan can be 1 of 3 procedures. The only bad thing about the procedure is the stuff they make you drink. It tastes like chalk. Some places will flavor it so it tastes like flavored chalk and some places are really nice and refrigerate it making it a lot easier to drink. I personally think knowing that the procedure is going to give you some answers makes it all tolerable. Some of the answers the GI scans can give you are about reflux, how long digestion takes, diseases in your intestinal tract (such as Crohn's), etc. Lots of good information can come from this. They use Fluoroscopy and still x-ray shots for this. So, I'm glad for you. These are good studies. I hope you get some answers.
I'm sure someone else has hopped on here since I started this what seems like several hours ago. LOL!! Have a great day everyone.
