Good morning ladies! It's back to work for me.:violin:I could really use a few more days off! But grateful for what I had. Sydney and Shaun made it through the first day of school. Both of them came home happy! Hope we can keep that attitude going!

Have you seen the gallery? It's going crazy! Get your layouts in there because they are sure to get some awesome love.

Soccer practice at 5:30 for Sydney and 6:30 for Shaun. Shaun's teacher says that they usually get homework on Tuesday and Thursday nights. We'll see if it starts tonight!

Ok...I'm off to get ready for work. ((hugs)) to all

Morning- Linda- hope you have a great day at work, that your kids still love school at the end of the week

I'm getting ready for dental visit, dr visit, paperwork catch up and some shopping- I hope. Other than that, not much happening- maybe some weeding or lawn mowing- oh and we start back up at dance tonight! Yikes- could be a long night!

Good morning ladies!! :) It's work time for me ... ;( But that's ok .... I had a great night last night :peep: Did a huge gallery run ... made my August posting goal :peace:, scrapped with my BFF from Texas, had a great chat with her .... ;) told some secrets, talked about our kiddos, (I really missed my late night chats with Sally, she's my inspiration), and then some tender time with my darling MG!! :) Gotta run ... but I will be back :)

MORNING!!!!!!!!!

Running on SLOW mode this morning!!! this would be because twice last night in the middle of the night, I got a stupid text again from some 900#!! REALLY??!! That beep is loud ringing through the house when there is no other noise!! GEEEEZ!!! It was at the other end of the house!! I guess I am going to put it on silent at night....I will never remember!!

I was feeling very drained yesterday, but I think worse now....since I am not taking the allergy meds, so I can sleep, the symptoms are wearing me down!!

I spent the whole day at my Mom's yesterday...YAY!! Savannah had a ball over there....she entertained my Mom for sure!!

I finally signed up for Netflix yesterday....I used to belong to blockbuster, but dropped it after a while when they never sent me the first things in my list...NEVER!! Cameran loved it, cause he got to watch Dennis the Menace on the computer yesterday....he was picking out all kinds of movies...and at the top of his list GOOSEBUMPS!! He loves those shows!!

Okay...I gotta run for a bit...
((((HUGS TO YOU ALL))))

Hi everybody! Been a few days since I've been around. I guess I've been pretty busy. It sure is awesome having Vince home, but it's been an adjustment for sure. Plus, school started today for Atha (she's in Kindergarten now! Going to school all day-WOW) and Genny starts on the 2nd. I woke up today when Vince left for PT (Physical Training- for those who don't know, military folk get up at the crack of dawn - 4:30 today - to exercise). That was too early for me to get up for sure, but I just couldn't get back to sleep. I didn't have to get up to the very late hour of 6. UGH!! Just a couple of short weeks ago, I was dragging my behind out of bed at around 9 or so most days. Those days are gone.
School is going to be a real ordeal this year. Gen only has half days, and Atha's going all day. So everybody has to be there at about 8:15, but Gen's done at noon. Hopefully we can get her on the bus to come home. If not, I'll have to walk to go get her. Then Atha is done at 2:45, and I'll have to come right back to get her at that time. School is only about 1/2 a mile away, but it's just an ordeal. Especially after the baby is born in December-UGH!! Oh well, we'll get by just like we always do.

What's worst is that Vince wants me to go to a military ball with him next week. UGH!!!!!!! I DETEST them. But he wants me to go so... Luckily, our lovely Miss Clara went to the mall with me to find a dress. We found one straight off that we think will work. It's not full-length, but it's dressy, and heck, I'm PREGNANT, what do they want?

Linda S- back to work for you and back to school for us. Back to the grind all over I guess! Hope they take it easy on you today!

Laurie- Ooo I hope the dental appt goes well! At least you have dancing later. That sounds like fun.

Krista- lots of smiles all around for you! That's awesome! Love days where you just feel like smiling!

Chris- Here's some continuous coffee thoughts for you! Remember to breathe!

Linda W- My girls ADORE the streaming Netflix!! Lots of Wiggles, Blues Clues, and other stuff I can't stand. But they LOVE picking out their own movies. Well, Atha does. Gen just likes being along for the ride.

Well, I'd better get some school work of my own done. It's been tough fitting THAT in as well. Talk to you sooN!

ugh! i get on here too late and i can't remember everyonr for personals so i'll start with that first so i can attempt to remember since i can't scroll on my phone...

lindaS - i'm glad first days of school went great. we know it is a longshot but here's to hoping they keep up that same excited energy throughout the year. good luck getting back into all the crazy mom schedules you manage to keep up.

lindaW - what allergy meds are you taking that mess up your sleep so badly? there are so many out there is there a different one you could try or a different time of day to take it? i'm sorry you have such crappy sleep issues. you know what i've started doing with msgs on my phone is switch just the msg alert to vibrate. also is it possible to block that number from your phone? maybe you could call the phone company and see about blocking all 900 calls from your phone.

okay...i have to stop and check to see what other personals to write. i remember but want to double check. stupid phone internet. can't wait for the real thing. so soon.

Morning beautiful "O's" I think that our sunshine is not going to be around for the next while  I am not ready for summer to be done just yet. Well dropped my DD at the airport yesterday, had to get up at 3:00am to drive to Victoria and her flight left at 7:00am right on time. It's a little harder to say goodbye when you have to arrange for a wheelchair and make sure that someone is there to get her to the next gate and her connecting flight. But the people at WestJet airlines are soooo very wonderful to her and so that makes it a little easier. She actually had one of her boyfriends cousins to sit with on the flight from Calgary to Ontario so that was great! Many tears shed at the airport and many more when she called to say that she was home safe and sound. So my house is very quiet today :blah: Now I have to stop feeling :sorry: for myself. Lots of :washing: to catch up on and scrapping to do, so I better get busy and do it.
Linda S - have a great day back at work, hope it goes by without a hitch!
Laurie - yea...dance tonight, hope you don't feel stiff tomorrow!!
Krista - way to go on making your August posting goal!
Linda - hope that you feel better soon! Darn allergies  to you, take care of yourself!
Andrea - you will have fun at the military ball and I bet you look smashing in your new dress! I used to have to attend the RCMP Ball all the time, they can be a little stuffy but the guys love the tradition of it all. So nice that you have your man back home !!
Clara - hope that you get to use a computer soon! Hang in there girl

laurie - sounds like you have quite the busy day today. you must be excited to get back to dance though. just a word of advice...since you haven't been there in a while and you'll be retwisting your body in ways you haven't in a couple/few weeks i'd take an advil or two before class. have a great day.

chris - sorry your clock was behind. i hope it doesn't throw your whole day off. everything will come together just fine just take a big breath and say "i'm super mom. i can do anything and no one can do my job better than me" then you can run your tail around like achicken with its head cut off. your day will be fine. hugs!

krista - i'm glad today gets to be a good day because you had a good night. sounds like an awesome night to me. i am really glad you are back here and it seems to really help center you.

andrea - life is about to get crazy crazy! but i'm sure you'll handle it and make it look easy even if you feel like your head is spinning. i'm glad you still feel good about your dress. there is nothing worse than second guessing what you bought as women so needlessly do so often. but that dress really is perfect, so you're good to go. i was so ready to do what we have to with my sister. she hates shopping. so she sits in the dressing room and we just bring her stuff. anyway, good luck getting your schedule all figured out with school and enjoy your little bit of alone time each day.

trudy - cross posting. what a sad day for you but i am so glad you got to spend time with your family. back to the regular routine now, huh? well, good luck getting back to that.

so, today i think i need to do something with the kids. it has been running running running for days andthey have been okay, not great but okay. they need settled so badly and things have been so hard on them. so i think today we will head to a little water park nearby and play for the day. a lot of kids are already in school so it shouldn't be too busy.

ethan's birthday is this weekend is thid weekend and i have been having a heck of a time trying to figure out what to do for him. he wanted a party but we don't know enough people for a party so a poolsidee bbq it must be i think. then what kind of gift? i swear these kids have everything, but he does need a new bike and maybe a movie. maybe something cool for his room he's about to get and legos always work. we'll see.

my family is all sending him money to spend on specific things. it was my idea because they didn't know either. so they are sending him money to get out and see fayetteville and the money is to go to specific outings. my mom is sending a list. my brother chose the children's museum and i'm not sure what my sis picked. but he'll enjoy it. it will be cool.

well, i'm going to get the kids ready for some swimming now. so, i'll chat soon.

Linda -- wow!! that's great that they enjoyed school!! Hopefully it keeps up :)

Laurie -- Geeze, sounds like a busy day -- hopefully the dentist & doctor don't find anything!

Chris -- I hope you got your coffee!!!

Krista -- Sounds like you had a great night yesterday! I'm jealous :) I need to get into the whole posting goal thing next month...

Linda W -- have you tried doing the Neil-Med sinus rinse? Not the neti pot -- that could really screw up your middle ear. I LOVE the sinus rinse paired with a nasal spray like astiline or pantanase. That always worked best for me!! And we live in like the worst air quality place in north america.
& Netflix is AMAZING!!! I can't wait until we have kids & are homeschooling -- all of their watch instant educational stuff is going to be great!

Andrea -- I have no idea how you're able to get up that early!!! I'm usually the early bird when my hubby is home, but this morning he was the one who got up early. I'm sure you'll look great in the dress, Clara wouldn't steer you wrong! It's great that you have a hubby who would want to take you out for a night & show you off :)

Trudy -- aw that's great that her BF's cousin was there!! & even greater that the airline was good with the wheelchair!!

Clara -- That's a great idea for your family to send money for outings!! That way the birthday keeps giving, lol! How have things with the bank been going??

OK -- On to ME!

This Thursday I'm tempted to stay in bed. Yesterday afternoon my husband heard from a background investigator for a job he was hoping to get. They accused him of lying because he didn't tell them he was disqualified for a job with another agency -- YET THAT AGENCY NEVER TOLD HIM! Legally they were supposed to send him a letter, they never did & we had to hear they didn't pick him by reading who they did hire in the newspaper. Ugh, so it was a HUGE blow. This other agency isn't going forward with him either because they think he's a liar. He talked to the Sgt in charge of the investigator, and the Sgt said it was a policy thing, but he did work things out to be slightly better for Jeff. Jeff doesn't have to say they disqualified him, just that they didn't move on in the BG.

Ugh. So, the hubs is upset because it would of been a nice job. I'm praying that it doesn't keep him down for too long. He really hates his current job, he's always afraid of getting fired (they're often firing people because they can.) I think it was a blessing that he didn't get the job -- because the agency sounds pretty shifty & political. It was a huge blessing just in the process of traveling there -- we got to build stronger relationships with his family that we stayed with on the coast -- which was worth it for me!

So now -- he's up for a job with a nearby agency, and reapplied with the agency that apparently disqualified him last time. I'm praying that something good happens, and he'll be able to leave his current job! No other agencies have money -- our legislators can't pass that annual thing -- what is it called -- oh yeah, a budget!

After the disappointing news, I let him get his birthday present early -- Starcraft II! It lifted his spirits a bit. He'll be able to play with his friends that he hardly ever gets to see anymore.

So, today I'll be working at home & then I have to go into my PT job to fill out another appraisal report. I'm told its an easy one -- not another wannabe Hearst Castle! LOTS of people are refinancing their homes right now because rates are LOW -- so if you've been thinking about it, now's the time to do it!
