Daily O's - Friday, May 7 - TGIF

clarabear

always chatty at the O!!
Okay, so it is late late Thursday night, early Friday morning, but I have an awesome funny story that is perfect to start your TGIF so I thought I'd start your day with it. How about that?? LOL!! :hand: Stop drinking your coffee before reading.

So, yesterday I went to go see my mom's new house and her birthday was just the other day so I got her some house warming gifts for her birthday, one of them being a welcome mat. So, I followed my Onstar directions and as I was coming up to the house it said my destination was coming up on my right. So, I was watching on my right and saw my mom's car - a toyota corolla - in the driveway and pulled into the driveway, got Addie out, and all of my mom's giftie's out. When I walked up to the door I saw that she had already gotten a welcome mat, so my snotty little self grabbed it and tossed it to the side and laid mine down in its place and then rang the door bell. I'm guessing you might see where this story might be going. So, the door opens and guess what!! It isn't my mom. Some European lady, with a thick accent answers the door. So I reply with "This isn't my mom's house??" and she replies back with "No, and that's not my mat." Then my phone starts ringing and my mom starts talking saying she's bored (her house is completely empty and she's waiting for me to get there so we can go to lunch). And I just start replying to her while still standing in front of the European lady that it isn't her mat and I'm coming, probably making no sense. I don't know if I ever really apologized to the lady, but I did fix the mat situation. I was just so shocked that my mom didn't answer the door. So, finally I got back in my car and continued down the street to where my mom's car - a t bird, not the corolla (that was missing a spoiler) was parked. The lady must have thought I was crazy. I know I thought I was. It was a pretty crazy situation. So, i hope I made you all laugh. I'll chat more later. Love ya guys!!

Glad you gave the spew alert sure hope your mom got a good laugh out of it!

TGIF- work then dance- going out to Germania tonight- always a good time. I hope to work on some layouts from my flower garden trip yesterday- it was so gorgeous there it really lifted my spirits!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Clara OMG!! That is toooo funny!!!!!! I am dragging my butt today (darn Mack trucks are ont he loose again, why won't they stop running me over??)
But that story got me LOL!!!!!!!
In honor of our new smilies :spit:

TGIF! Its is Friday and yes!! My mom is coming. She rocks. She made potato salad, macaroni salad, a meatloaf and carrot cake. She is bringing home a load of laundry to do for me too.
And the best part! I asked her if she would please take me to Frank's Pizza for lunch. I am totally jonesing for a slice of the penna vodka pizza. *swoons*

Is she not the best????

Tonight is Cait's 6th grade dance so that will be interesting. Well, the pictures she always takes are funny.
And Scott had a great time at a friend's house last night, He and the girl's family went geo-caching. I have always wanted to do that, but no one else was interested. So I pounced on the idea when he got home, and he said that it would be boring to do it with his own family.
Huh.Gee thanks, dude.

Laurie what is Germania?I can't wait to see your LO's. You know me and flower/plants/dirt! I bet you had a gorgeous day!

xoxoxo

Linda W- its never enough time with the g-kids is it? My mom us the same.
How cute is that Savannah?? Happy baby!
I am so sorry to hear about your Aunt. I hope that these last few weeks can be spent together with love, not pain or grief.

Hi trudy!! Oh if there was flaming poo, the blame was all going on to Harley- she is 15 yo, and when she farts..... its like a bomb went off-- she is a perfect cover!
ITA- i think we all need to go to Nana Linda's and get some yummy food!

Sally- I *know* that Carla is still thinking the same thing- you crazy lady :D
But it feels soooo good to be productive! Hope that Cora feels better.
xoxoxo

Clara- seriously soul-sister of mine, soon to be on the same coast as me... and we will rule the world!- I am glad you liked the flaming poo! ROTF!
How did you do with your to-do list?

Linda!! Hahahahahah!!!! That might be easier and more deceptive- they'll never think to look for a tomato. And if they find it, they'll just assume it when theirs. Oooh I looove devious minds!

Laurie- hope the bone density and mammo went well. Sounds liek you had a really nice day.

TTYS!!

Clara :spit:!!!

How embarrassing for you, but so funny for us!!! Mike would say this to me for doing something like that: GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR @##!!!

Chris....those trucks have been around here too lately!!! They are carrying LOADS AND LOADS of pollen on them too...ACHOO!! ~Sniff~

Yes....the tomatoes is the way to go!! If you get caught messing around his car, it will be days before the smell comes out, so they will never blame you!! HAHAHA!!!

For those of you who don't know what we are talking about (I love telling this story...for some strange reason) I sold a car of mine once and a couple of weeks later the guy who bought told me that he kept smelling the AWEFUL smell and cleaned the car from top to bottom and could not get rid of this smell....finally he found a bag lodged under the seat with ROTTEN tomatoes in it!! STINKY!!!

Laurie...I have to ask to, what is Germania??

Chris...YAY FOR MOM!!!! now tell me what geo-caching is!! Boy I feel stupid today!!! I have no idea what anyone is talking about!! HAHAHA!!

Well...I am off...I have a lot to do today....

Good morning ladies.

I'm waiting for Ethan to get out of the shower. He wanted to take a bath but his nose is all stuffy, so I made him take a shower. Tonight he gets to go with Grandpa and his dad to the premier of Ironman 2. I don't remember who gave my dad the tickets but it should be a big event. The last tickets my dad got from there were to the Rolling Stones, so it is good stuff. It's in Seattle. I'm sure it will be a lot of fun for them. Today is Addie's last day at daycare. They are having pajama day and a movie. It should be a lot of fun. Of course Derek started going on and on about how she should take cupcakes and then decided he didn't have time so I should drive all the way up there since I'm not doing anything else anyway. Like I want to drive all the up there. He's such a dork. But I probably will. We'll see. I leave tomorrow for Michigan. It will be an interesting trip. I guess my uncle's brother died yesterday...He's my uncle because he married my aunt so I don't know his brother. My aunt is really upset that it happened so that it will affect our trip since the viewing and the memorial will probably happen while we are there but it will all work out okay. I'm going with my sister and I told my aunt we can help out with anything and we're low maintenance, but she's just bummed. She was just hoping he'd hold out for a few more days until we left.

Anyway, today is court day for my neighbor regarding her grandkids. the judge will be making the official ruling on where the kids will be going based on everything that has been presented to her. So we'll see what will happen. The Guardian ad Litem is recomending the two younger stay with the grandparents and the two older go with their dad since he has that right and there is no reason for him not to have them and he is requesting to have them, even though they don't really want to. That part kinda sucks but it will be okay if that is what happens, I think. So we'll just see how it goes and what the judge decides. Please pray that the judge makes a wise decision. it sounds like the mother is abusing prescription meds again and isn't taking the prescription meds she should be taking. She can only get better if she chooses to. It is so sad.

Well, that is about it. Let me leave some personals real quick...

Laurie - Have fun dancing tonight and tell us all about Germania!!

Chris - Stupid Mack truck. I think we need to outlaw them. Ugh. I hope your day gets better and I'm glad I could make you laugh. It definitely made me laugh. So, now I have a to-do list. I haven't done anything on it yet but when I get back from Michigan I will slowly go through everything one by one and get a move on it. I have a plan now and that is half the battle I think. I want to geo-caching instead. Sounds more fun. Nope going to focus on the to-do list...right after my nap. LOL!!

Linda - I am soooooo glad to provide you with today's entertainment. It was my entertainment too. Cracked me up. It still makes me laugh and gets funnier everytime I tell it. oh man!! Oh I think if you look up www.geocaching.com you can see what it is all about. it looks pretty cool. And I love the tomato idea just not quite as much as the flaming poo. Much more expressive. We need a flaming poo smiley.

Okay ladies...I'm outta here!!

Clara you said the other day that you wanted me to tell my story so that we could get to know each other better?? Well if you have an hour or so here goes...:D Seriously there is not much to tell. I was born and raised on Vancouver Island and married my high school sweet heart. Shortly after we married he joined the RCMP and we transferred to Saskatchewan:Cry:. We had two beautiful children a boy... Jason and girl...Heather. After 28 yrs on the prairie we finally got transferred back home and are enjoying being back in our homeland. Of course a lot happened in between but that is long drawn out story:violin:. I got into digital scrapbooking because my daughter Heather wanted me to scrapbook her life. I used to be a paper scrapper, but never liked having to clean up all the mess and try to store all of the paper and things that went along with paper scrapping. I stumbled upon digital scrapbooking and was hooked!!. Now the reason I did a scrapbook for my daughter was because after working in the bank for over 15 yrs, I suddenly had some time on my hands to actually do this. You see my daughter got very sick at 18yrs of age and I had to quit my job to take care of her. after 10 yrs of therapy and a lot of hard work, she is finally 90% recooperated and now living in Ontario with her wonderful boyfriend Jonah. My son married a beautiful young woman named Jackie and they have given us two beautiful grandchildren Issac, soon to be two yrs old and Sadie just born in March. They are both with the military and living in Winnipeg, so we are much too far away from them to suit my liking. I have visited many other scrapbooking sites, but kept coming back to the "O" because everyone here is so friendly and like one big happy family. Hopefully we will all become wonderful friends and will continue to converse each morning with one another. Hopefully you have not found this too boring:bored: Looking forward to hearing from all of my new family!!
