It's the weekend after Thanksgiving sooo....

Happy Holiday Shopping!!!!

Ok ladies, ready for another one of Jeff's work stories? This is another one at his expense.

A few nights ago he and his work buddy were watching the crowd & I guess talking about how his buddy is single. Well, a tall woman in a red dress walked by them and Jeff told his buddy that she was good looking.

The next night, he was with his Lt at the center bar and his Lt motioned towards the same woman and said, "Hey, you see the woman with the white shirt and red sleeves?

"That's Gary."

Jeff kept thinking he was looking at the wrong woman, he didn't believe him. He confessed to his Lt that he called him/her "good looking" and now everyone at work knows, LOL! But the focus isn't on him anymore, they tricked an officer into making the same mistake, except that officer said a little more than just "good looking."

Jeff's still all distraught, LOL! He can't believe he made that mistake. His Lt. didn't because he was a captain in the correctional system, so he's seen it all.

-----

Well, I'm not doing any shopping this weekend! I spent beyond my budget for a new hosting provider and plan, but in the end I didn't go over my budget if we were to pay monthly not yearly. Jeff gets paid this week & bills are already paid, so we're going to get the jetta fixed (again) and get an xBox (maybe) for the family for Christmas. We LOVE watching Netflix watch instantly, but since our refurbed xbox 360 died, we've been missing it. It'll also double as a gift for Jeff, and his video game addiction. If I can convince him to get a Wii instead, I'll be super happy!

Morning all - this week has flown by- it is the weekend already- meg- what about a new Xbox kinex- that has workout programs that you do not use a controller for- I am so not gamer savvy- but the commercials make it look cool. We have more dance lessons today with a different instructor than normal- she is really excellent- but the way she corrects me just peeves me and I have to talk to my self not to just walk out- that is how annoyed I get. It is good in the long run, but boy is it frustrating. I need to paper scrap for my son to take back tomorrow, and I want to digi scrap too. We shall see.

Happy Saturday!
Is everyone recovered from Turkey Hangover? I don't eat turkey so I fill up on the good stuff- stuffing!
we had leftovers last night and watch Alien. Fun!

I also got a bunch of F-W stuff labeled and packaged up. Today I have to pull everything out, set it up on the table and see what type of products I am missing. I decided that cleaning the house can wait.
I also did my Black Friday Shopping. 2 things from Amazon, hahahhah! But at least my MIL is done.

Meg- your poor dh!

Laurie-- deep breaths with the dance teacher.

From yesterday:

Meg- ugh! That sounds like it would make me want to :smash:
I am glad that it ended up ok.

Petra- thanks sweetie! How is the traveling going? And new news on your niece?

Meg- oh no-- that is horrible that your fam has gone through this to. I might pick your brain for legal advice if things get wonky here.

Hi trudy, Linda S and nana!!

enjoy your day my lOves!

Good morning ladies! I LOVE it! The weekend begins and I'm almost rested! Woo Hoo!

Stayed in my sweats until last night when it was time to take Sydney to gymnastics. And had the last piece of chocolate pecan pie for breakfast. I bought the first Alex Cross book yesterday afternoon...love my iPad. I wouldn't be here now but the battery went to 0%. I'll definitely get the book finished today...and probably pick up the next one in the series. I love to read...and I've got pent up-up demand from the last 5 1/2 years. :-)

Laurie, enjoy the dance lessons. How did you happen to get started on those? It sounds like such a good time.

Chris, sounds like you've been very, very busy!

((hugs)) to all who enter today! :-)

Morning my favorite "O" people... Up at 5:30 am ugh!!! Just woke right up and my brain said ok enough sleep. I hate that!! It was so warm and cozy in my bed and it is so rainy and cold outside. Off to Victoria today to do some shopping at Costco, have to restock the pantry and see what wonderful goodies they have in store today. I should be working on the calendars for my kids, but I am having scrappers block and just can't seem to get my mojo working. Will have to do some gallery stalking to get some inspiration I guess. I am bad for not leaving enough love in the gallery and really want to get better at it.

Chris - have fun doing inventory on your fairy wings products, it has to be better than doing housework right?? I really must check out your stuff!! I love the good smells and really could use some bath products!

Meg - that is too funny about the mistaken identity...some guys really do make good looking girls!! Hope your hubby gets over the trauma of it all LOL. We would love to get Netflix too, but here in Canada they have not yet come out with all the new movies on it yet, just a bunch of really old stuff. Not sure why?? Don't understand why we can't have the same as the USA ?? Oh well one day we will catch up.

Laurie - Sorry that your teacher peeves you so much!! Some people just don't have the nack for explaining things in a good way and they just seem to rub you the wrong way, :boink: try to be paitent '

Nana Linda - good morning  hope your day is great my USA sister!

Linda S - missed you... I love the Alex Cross books, so good!! Lucky you, you have an IPAD!!! and you didn't save that last piece of pie for me?? LOL. Have a great day reading!!

LOL LindaS sounds like you were totally engrossed in your book :D I love the Alex Cross' series by James Patterson! Another series I love is the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child.

And hugs Chris! And thanks Meg since you also asked about Chloë in a PM and I haven't answered yet; she is doing okay for now and is out of the hospital since the Friday before last but again, long story... her mom took her home against doctor's advice. So my brother and the rest of my family had a fit! Mom said she can give the baby medicine herself...then took her with her the next day while she went out in the cold to go shopping. And then wonders why my brother yells at her.
Now they went on a trip with her parents to a house they rented for the weekend when the temps are below freezing. Also when my mom was on the phone with her this week, the 3--year old boy was throwing blocks at Chloë and my mom said she was just crying so hard. It just makes me soooo angry!
And then she is telling my mom not to get all worked up O_O
Also the 3-year old took her out of her play pen and carried her around on the tile floor while mommy dearest thought he was 'carrying around a doll'. IS SHE SERIOUS?? I just am about to harm the stupid woman myself! Shame she is living on another continent. I really am wishing for my brother to take Chloë and leave her but I doubt he will.

Enough about all that - it's just sickening me. I hope you all are having a good weekend and I'm continuing to keep your family in my thoughts Chris.

Laurie, enjoy the dance lessons. How did you happen to get started on those? It sounds like such a good time.

LindaS- May of 2009 mr gorgeous decided to stop in and find out about lessons- we had taken group ballroom lessons when the boys were old enough to leave alone when we lived in CNY and really enjoyed the time (he says - the only time he got to be in control!) The lessons are not cheap, but it is good exercise, we have met people we enjoy spending time with and we do something together during the time he is home. Today's lesson went much better than last nights. I wore a skirt instead of pants- for most dances my yoga pants are great, but not the Viennese because they get caught on each other.

I just have to say, I have finally for the first time completed all 6 challenges! Yay! I have been on this computer since 10 and am still in bathrobe and pj's but so are my kids! Very lazy laid back day! We're loving it!

Laurie -- We'll be getting the xbox kinex sometime next year, it cost just as much as the xbox does!!! I can't believe it. But, I definitely do want it :) We're just waiting for my in laws to recover from my FIL being unemployed for the last month or so. & We're starting the Dave Ramsey plan to pay down our school debt & save for moving to Oregon.

Chris -- I'm sending you a PM -- it's really a novel.

afternoon darlings...

I'm getting a part of my bedroom all set up to use as my photography studio for my products. I'm learning all about styling so as to sell more stuff. You buy what you love to look at, right?

Today we are celebrating Mr Gorgeous's birthday since he'll be on his way to Trinidad on Monday (his actual birthday). I can't wait. I did the ultimate and called his mom and said, can you guys host Donnie's birthday party Saturday? so no stress on me at all!! LOL!! they offered to cook everything (steak and potatoes) and my sil and niece even baked his cake!! they are such an awesome family! So I need to wrap his gifts and then we'll be ready!

Love you all!! hope your holidays were as wonderfully stress free as mine!! (can you believe?????)

Hi Ladies, we're back home! It feels so good to be home although we did have a very nice visit with my fam. C. is watching Toy Story 2, DH is reading the newspaper, and I am scrapping and catching up online. Sigh. Love it. :) Guess what was waiting for me in the mail when I got home?? My beautiful Advent calendar made by Sally. Love it!

Yesterday I hung out with my sister - we went to lunch and to see Morning Glory. Not the best movie, but definitely a funny escapist romantic comedy. I did enjoy it.

Sally, my dear, thank you, it is gorgeous. Happy birthday to your Mr. Gorgeous.

Katrina - yay for having fun and doing all of the challenges.

Laurie - how did the dance class go?

Meg - that story made me chuckle!

Linda - reading and chocolate pecan pie. Now that sounds heavenly.

Trudy - how did your calendars turn out? I've been debating whether to make them for my mom and mil again. I like the finished product, but it's a lot of work and time.

Petra - I've been wondering about your niece too. Sorry to hear about the mom and all of the drama.

Chris - your Black Friday shopping sounds like ours. A couple of Amazon and Old Navy purchases online. Loved it.

I think I caught everyone ... if not, I am sorry. Hope you all are having a fab weekend!

So... right now it's POURING up where Jeff works. He texted me that if it keeps up and the temperature drops anymore... they'll be snowed in. I broke the news to him that it's supposed to drop another 15 degrees, and that Gary could keep him company. LOL! I'm bad.

But here on the valley floor we just have a tiny bit of wind :-D

brrr- snow- it has been cold here the past two days with some breezes- I'm not ready for the cold yet. I've been busy paper scrapping, now I know why I digi - I have an album that I started for my son 9 years ago from a trip he took to the Republic of Georgia- so I have been working on that since he is here and can help me plan which photos go on which pages.

Sally- can't wait to see how fancy you photograph your products
ME- how wonderful- I bet your family will really enjoy the advent calendar!
Petra- thanks for the update on your niece- wish it were better news
Linda S- did you get your battery recharged so you can finish the book
Chris- did you make a list of what you need to make.

Okay break over- back to the paper pages!

okay- I have been working on the pages from my son's trip- researching buildings in Moscow- where he stopped on his way to Georgia and decided to google the name of the exchange student that we had from there- no luck - tried FB and I think I found him- sent a friend request and hope that it is him, the pictures surely look like him only older ( it has been nine years). Lost track of him after we moved from NY to OH.

Hello! Just real quick. Finished up our couple day late Thanksgiving. Made lots of new stuff. Some great some okay. My fave was the pumpkin bread pudding. I got inspired from the Throwdown. I don't like fall pies. Pumpkin and pecan are both not my thing but I like pumpkin stuff. So bread pudding it was and it was great. Anyway, I've been busy with my sister which has been awesome. I let her drag me to the evil Walmart and took zanax to do it. It wasn't too busy but she still saw some crazies. I stick to the happy Walmart near my house when I have to go. Although around here I don't have a lot of options.

Anyway, I'll chat with you all soon. Hopefully tomorrow. I have a girls day planned with Addie and my sis. Yay!! Lunch and Tangled. Woot!!

Good morning ladies! Last day of this wonderful long weekend and do I sleep in? No. I wake up at 4 thinking of all of the things that I need to do! Ugh...

I did finish my book and bought the next in the series. It was a good day. :-)

Sally, hope that you had a great time at the birthday dinner. Trudy, I think I see a Costco run in my future today. :-) Clara, you are going to need to share more info about the pumpkin bread pudding. Laurie, you've been at the dance lessons for less than 2 years...amazing!! ME, glad that you enjoyed the family time. Katrina, yay you for finishing all of the challenges!

Going to get a few things done before the rest of the family awakes!

morning ladies- well- I did reconnect with our exchange student from 2001- one of the positives of the internet. Today- much to do to get ready for the work week. Back to normal!

happy Sunday!
It has been so nice not having to wake up in the middle of the night with that dang annoying alarm clock.
What am i going to do tomorrow??Gah!!!

Another busy day here and I am not sure what plans I have fo rthe week- like what day I need to do what. My house is a mess and my brain is scrambled.

I am going to drink some coffee and come back when I mam able to make sense!

Ok- I have a mug and a half of caffeine in me.
let's see if I make any sense yet...:D

Laurie- how nice to reconnect! Where was your exchange student from? Linda S had an exchange student last year (year before that??). It sounds like such a neat and educational experience.

Linda S- 4 am... you are worse than me.... hope you can squeeze in a nap at some point today. What book series are you reading?

Clara- oh yes!!! Another walmart hater!!! I hate shopping there. Pretty much anywhere except maybe the Christmas Tree Shop. I tried to do the "Small Business Saturday" yesterday. We are very limited on shopping in my dinky town. But I did head out to a few stores. i bought nothing tho. The ironic thing is that I saw something in one store for my brother. They had Santa/C-mas collectible figurines in different sports teams. They didn't have anything in the store that I could buy, so I went to their online site and bought it from there. I had it shipped to the store, so no S/H costs, and they still get the sale, so that works, right? LOL
I bet you are having so much fun w/ your sis!!

if you like pumpkin, and you are at an IHOP- try the pumpkin pancakes! yummy!!

Laurie- was the exchange student from Georgia? So cool. Good luck with that album and I hope you don't get any more snow.

Meg- you are mean! LOL Hope YMG made it home safe.

Hi ME! Did it feel awesome to sleep in your own bed??

Sally- wish YMG a big happy birthday from me!

Meg- got your PM, read it last night, need to process it all!! TY! hugs~~~

Katrina!! Good for you! I haven't done any of the challenges except the one I hosted. Maybe that is something I could do today. I really really need a day off!!!

Petra-Oh my!!!!!!! That poor little baby! Her mom needs serious help. Lots of good health thought to Chloe.
Thank you for the good thoughts too

Trudy- i did an inventory if you count scribbles on a paper with lots of question marks for prices LOL
How was Costco?

Linda S- ahhh! Alex Cross... I like Patterson, but I don;t know which ones go "first."

I think that is it for now, better get working (blergh!!!!!)

love you ladies!

Morning, ladies!! what's everyone's plans for today? We are heading to church and the grocery store in a bit. And then just hanging out at home. :) Maybe we will put the lights up outside the house. Not quite ready for the tree yet but lights sound good.

Will be back later!!

The exchange student was from the Republic of Georgia- south of Russia- North of turkey from the city of Batumi on the black sea- My son went there for 3 weeks and then he came and stayed with us for 3 weeks- it was a learning experience for all. So now- procrastinator that I am, I am working on my son's paper scrap book album- yikes- I do not believe how digital I have become.

I have NO idea where my iphone is. Normally that's what I use to check my messages and do the Daily O's in the morning... I think Jeff might be sleeping on it.

Ugh, we over slept... I guess Jeff set the alarm wrong. Now I need to try and wake up sleeping beauty!

Sooo late getting in here today, I have been baking all morning and then a run to the Safeway and also made a Stew for tonight's supper. Cleaned all the bathrooms vacumed up and downstairs. Whew.... now I can spend some time in here before my brother comes to watch the Grey Cup game with my MG. His wife is on a cruise with her sisters and mother in Mexico and are expected back later tonight. Then in two days they get on the airplane and fly to Australia for 5-6 months to visit with their children and their grandaughter. Their son is getting married in February and they are so excited to be able to attend this special wedding!! We will miss them though as we are very close and our kids all grew up together. But we are happy for them!! No time for personals today as I have a gallery run to do and get caught up on some love that I have neglected to do for some time. Love you all!!

hey girlies!!

the party last night was so fun! Mr Gorgeous got an EReader (NextBook) from his mom and some clothes and an SD card for his ereader from me and a GC to Borders from my mom. It was amazing how he was soooo blessed...like we all coordinated!! So fun! Anyway, he's really addicted to his reader now, and I'm a bit jealous. BUT I'm only several product sales away from getting an IPAD...so I'm totally excited!! :)

This afternoon after church, Mr Gorgeous and Lillian and I went to be with the babies while my brother was at the Texans' game with my mom. My sil went to bed so she could recover from her night up with Alice. They are the cutest babies!!!

Tonight we are Christmas decorating. Ohhhh it makes me tired just thinking about the clean up I have to do just to make all of the cool decorations fit!! LOL!!! But my babies are worth it, and they are soooo excited about it. We'll have a video of it soon...we need to eat some chili first to get our strength up!! LOL!!

love you guys!! I'm totally scrapping tonight after we decorate! I'm in need of some scrap therapy! And that O store is soooo tantilizing right now!! HUGS!!!!
