I just had to start the weekend thread -- because I couldn't wait any longer to tell you all...

At work Friday night...

Jeff got punched in the stomach, TWICE!!!

 By a 70 year old woman!!!!

I guess she was demonstrating how someone had punched her, while he was taking her statement. So, after getting punched he pawned her off on his corporal (and best buddy at work) who ALSO got punched in the stomach!

So... once word got around, the director, Lt's, EVERYONE was in the surveillance room watching the footage & laughing uncontrollably. Jeff said his Lt almost wet his pants he was laughing so hard.

Ahhh, that story is EXACTLY what I needed to boost my spirits!! Jeff's still slightly sore, but I made him a makeshift chai latte. Last night I bought a milk frothier off of ebay for $4, so there will be lots of lattes to go around in the Daily O's now!!!!

Have a great weekend ladies!!! I'll be back in eight hours or so to hear how things are going on with you all!!

Trudy -- :( bad news on the jaw???? What's going to happen now?

Clara -- I hope you had a great time at the concert!!!!!!!!

Ok... I'm really nodding off now, I'll finish personals in the morning!

Good morning ladies....only have a couple of minutes here...

I let Sharon con me into having a 31 party here today....Her most wonderful SIL cancelled on her....so since it was booked already, she asked me if I would do it here....SO NOT MY THING!!!! But they ask...I do!!!

So I need to clean up some and get a shower.....

I have however been in the O shop this morning....picked up some goodies to scrap with this weekend.....GALLERY BEWARE!!!! I am in need of some scrap therapy!!!! I posted some last night, but they were made last week, early this week...I have not scrapped much since MONDAY!! AACCKKK!!! I am a scrapaholic.....I have to scrap everyday!!!!!!

Should be all finished up and cleaned up by around 3 or 4...so I will be back!!!

Oh....before I go.....I did see Clara yesterday for a little bit...Cameran was over the moon excited to see Ethan and Addie again!!! It was good to see Clara and meet Derrick!!

Morning all - quick drive by on my way to 3 consecutive dance lessons- missed dance on thursday eve due to mr.Gorgeous not feeling well. I hope they go well- we are practicing our solo routine to our wedding song that we will perform on Dec 5th at a dance event- just to see how much work we have to do to perform at a regional competition ( not really real competitions- it's studio functions and most people get best or second best) So I need to get moving-

Nana you are so thoughtful to step up - I hear you on flooding the gallery I did that this weekend with CT stuff

Meg- that is too funny

Trudy- sorry to hear that the jaw is not an easy fix

ME- how is the little one

Krista- laundry??

Everyone else- happy weekend!

Happy Saturday!
I am finally not cranky- guess sleeping in a bit was a much needed boost.

Meg- that is hysterical!!!! How long before the video get onto you tube? :D
Lattes sound great!!!

Nana L- I had to google 31 party- you are one nice mama- hope that you gets some of the hostess goodies too. But if I know you, you'll make sure that Sharon gets them all.
Happy scrapping!

Laurie- good luck with your dance classes, have fun!

I am just skimming through new posts right now, but I will be back w/ personals in a few.

xoxo

Back for a quick personal run :)

Linda S- hibernating sounds like a perfect weekend! Hope you gets lots of relax time and scrap time!

Clara!!!! I am so happy for you! I know it wasn't under the best of circumstances, but i think that you really needed to go and see DMB. yay for getting to see our nana!! (Did she let you lick the cookie dough bowl?)
I am sorry to hear about D's grandpa too.

Oh meg- that bites. :( I hope that you find a new store soon, one that with treat you the way you deserve.

Trudy- gentle hugs to you, hope that the bad news about your jaw isn't toooo bad.

ME- I was jumping up and down (well, in my head I was, I was too pooped out to physically jump up and down) that it was Friday with you. It was such a long week.
You have a fun weekend ahead- enjoy!

Nana- Oh I so totally needed that vodka bottle!

Katrina- good luck on your exam. And congrats on the CT!

Morning all my "O" friends!! Woke up this morning to :smow: and lots of it!!! It is a winter wonderland out there. Looks pretty, but I am so not ready for winter to be here :nono: Did not make it in here last night because we had a family nite at work and close relatives got to come shopping and get an extra 25% discount on all items in the store. It was fun and we managed to buy a few stocking stuffers and I got a Paderno Stock Pot, sooooo nice. So guess I am going to be making some homemade soups now yay!! As for my jaw???? Well I am just waiting for the phone call from the specialist for my appointment to have a splint put on my jaw, it is not getting better and it won't on its own now. Every time I try to chew something it sounds like crushed glass in there and the dentist says its bone rubbing on bone and that's not a good thing. Will keep you updated.

Meg - that is too funny about the stomach punch!!! My husband is a police officer and has many funny things happen to him also, never a dull moment!! Hope the lattes made him feel better!!

Nana Linda - You are so generous to let Sharon have her 31 party at your place, but we all know how wonderful you are!! It does not look like the kind of stuff that I would be interested in, but hope all goes well for you!! I am also in need of some scrap therapy, its been a few days now and I still haven't started on my calendars for my kids (yikes I better move it!!)

Laurie - Three lessons in a row, you will be danced out girl!! Bet it's fun though! Good luck with your solo!!

Chris - glad that you are not cranky today, bet if you saw all the white stuff that I'm seeing this morning it would make you cranky again!! It sure hasn't improved my mood!! I hate snow!!! Are you busy making wonderful smells in your kitchen again today??

Clara - how great that you got to see our Linda and her babies!! Sometimes I think my DH thinks all these friends of mine are in my head too LOL.

Well better go get the shovel out if I'm going to get any shopping done today. Perhaps its better if I just stay home and scrap all day!!

Good afternoon ladies! Back from basketball, lunch and a long visit with Mom. Now I'm going to sneak in a nap and then I'll be ready to scrap! :-)

Hi all, hope you are having a great day! We've had a busy and productive day. Got C's bookshelves all organized, went to an early breakfast with a friend, took a walk to the playground and started going through 7 bags of baby clothes a friend gave me! Yes, 7 bags. Her little girl was/is a fashionista. Now off to the grocery store.

Back for personals this evening...but, I laughed so hard, Meg, reading the story about your DH!!

I'm so glad everyone got a good laugh!!! I should share more of his stories. Trudy, Jeff got the state certificate to become a cop, but had the worst timing ever, right as our state budget crisis really got bad... so now there's unemployed cops with experience fighting for the same jobs!! But he admits that he gets more action in an evening than most of the local agencies. He's gone on lots of ride alongs and been bored out of his mind. On average, he sees more in one night than the nearest city's PD does in a week.

Is everyone ready for another story??

So, Jeff first started off as an EMT/Security Officer on the native american reservation -- but most of his time is spent in the casino/hotel. He got promoted to Sgt about 14-15 months ago. Before his promotion, he was in his EMT uniform watching the crowd in the nightclub waiting for the typical fights to start. He was standing along the entryway into the club, smiling at people as they enter, etc. Soon a girl about my age & a woman who appeared to be her mom entered the club. Jeff nodded at them and went back to watching the crowd.

The next thing he knows, he feels something happening against his left side...

The older woman was using his body as a human stripper pole.

He was in shock, and she ran away pretty quickly after he stepped away. After that, his co workers never ever let him forget it.

Ahh, that's one of my favorite stories. It's a great example of the bizarre things people do to him.

I found out more about last night... turns out the lady was VERY drunk and really wasn't punched... she was just brushed by someone's jacket because she was blocking foot traffic. Jeff says if they see her again they'll probably ban her.

I'll come back and do personals -- we're watching Parking Wars right now and I'm having too good of a time laughing at these people.

Hey ladies!! So I am back from the DMB concert. It was amazing. I am so glad we got to go. The music was amazing and to see him in the town where he got his start was just so cool!! He played Addie's song...You and Me Together. She loved it. Ethan fell asleep. Then we ended up witha reservation at a really cool hotel that was actually a resort that we decided we have to stay at again but it was off season and the rates were amazing.

We found out along the way that Derek's grandpa died, which totally sucked but we knew it was coming any day. We were actually relieved because he was in a lot of pain and very uncomfortable. He was 93. So, I've just been praying for him to die peacefully and for the peace and comfort of his family while they grieve. I know it has been really hard on my MIL having to put him in the hospital and then him not being able to talk and stuff. I'm glad we were able to get up to Cleveland and I know she really appreciated it. I went to the hospital a couple of times late at night and she really appreciated it and she told me so. the aren't the most communicative family so her telling me that was a big deal.

I got to see Linda on Friday. That was fun. Not for too long though. We had to get to the concert and she had to get babies to their respective parents. It was nice to see her again and for Derek to see and meet one of the people I spend so much time with online. It was great. Plus I just love watching the kids play together. I mean it doesn't get any better than that.

Okay, it is so stinking late. I have to go. I am going to try and get back on here tomorrow and leave some love while we are driving to Georgia for the funeral. Big hugs to everyone!!

Big hugs to you Clara- glad the concert worked out, and I hear you on wanting someone in pain to go peacefully-

GOOD MORNING LADIES!!!

Wow...I had a another busy day yesterday....we had the party...which I spent all morning cleaning and fixing some food and then it lasted and hour and half...and did all the clean up....Sharon had Savannah with her, and Mike came home right when it ended so they stayed for a bit and Mike got to play with Savannah for a while...she is so funny doing all her little "tricks" when she WANTS to!!! She is just like the rest of the grandchildren....ALLLLLLL ABOUT PAWPAW when he is here!!!! After they left he and I went through some things downstairs that needed to be put away, thrown out or SOMETHING...and then we went out to eat and did a little more Christmas shopping....We got some more cool stuff for the kids....I think I am done with them now... (except for helping Traci get their SANTA stuff for Jesse and Jaiden...she really does not have the money :() After we got home I got on line and went to the Chat room with Sara, Krista and Meg..... I was forcing myself to stay up until midnight....QVC had their special of the day start then....a Wii Bundle....We wanted to check it all out and we did...and we bought it!! YAY US!!! Mine and Mike's Christmas present  Then I trotted off to bed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was tired!!!

Today...I hoping to scrap all day!!!! But I don't think that is going to happen....Mike needs new work shoes and I think we will end up going out to look for those today. Oh and just now realized..I have to take my car to the guy who works on it for me...he has my new brakes to put on....GOOD GRIEF....:yell: I may not get to scrap after all

Meg...I seriously laugh out loud at your story!!! The second one too!! :spit: I am glad to know another SURVIVOR junkie too ;)

Laurie....how did all the dancing go?? I would be dead after all that!! and good luck with the competition on the 5th.

Chris....I hope you are feeling better (not so cranky) today!! I thought about you last night when I stopped and bought some lotter tickets  I need to check them I guess..two of them were for last night...I bought three!!!

Trudy....SWEETIE!!! Gentle  I am sorry about the jaw!!! I know it has to be frustrating and painful!!! I am trying to imagine a splint on the jaw...Sounds like a fun time on the family night at the store!!!!

LindaS....oooooh a nap....scrapping....I am so jealous!!!! Did you get to do both of these??? and how nice for the long visit with your Mom!!!

ME....Oh my did my daughter give you a bunch of clothes?? :pound: I think both of my girls go way over board in the clothing dept for their kids!!! How nice for you though...Traci ended up with someone giving her bags and bags of clothes a few months ago for Jaiden...they started at 18 mos and went up to a few 3T's...SWEET!! really nice nice stuff too!!!

Clara...I am glad you guys had a good time!!!! and the resort sound fab!!! You guys be careful on your trip today....lots of hugs for your family and D's family!! It was good to see you Friday too ;)

Okay...off of here...DH is taking me to breakfast before we run my car down...he lives about 40 minutes away....Maybe I will get back to scrap some today!!

LOTS OF LOVE TO YOU ALL!!!

Nana Linda, you are amazing! I'd never heard of Thirty-One so I did a google search. Cute stuff! Did you buy or just host? The girls have a super mama and the grandkids have a super Nana. Hope that you get a little bit of me time today although spending time with DH is a nice treat huh? I suppose that he's about to go in to CRAZY time with Christmas deliveries! Enjoy your day.

Clara, so glad that you had a good time. Drive safely to Georgia! Hugs to you and your family.

Meg, those stories are hysterical!

ME, seven bags is a lot. Although, I must admit, Sydney does get indulged a bit in clothes.:biggrin1::biggrin1:

I didn't get time to scrap yesterday. I did get a 45 minute nap in so that was nice. Then went to watch Abby (one of my niece's) play basketball....she's in a tournament. Stopped at the grocery store and came home and did a gallery run. Lots of beautiful layouts!

Now I need to print out labels for our Operation Christmas Child boxes so that we don't need to do that as we are heading out the door for church. And since the kids are asleep, I think that I may try to get in a little bit of time in the gallery.

Good morning my sweetie-O's!

*big yawn* still sleepy here in NJ...... but I have coffee and muffins for everyone :)

I didn't get as much scrapping in yesterday as I wanted too- just one page. There was major family drama that sucked up lots of time onthe phone w/ my mom. I think everything is ok now, and if not. *shrugs* it is what it is...... nothing I can do about it now, right?
I am going to work on the house and on F-W's a bit this morning, then I want to scrap this afternoon.
Maybe if I say it enough it will come true ;)

Linda S- even tho you didn't scrap, I bet that nap felt good! Hmm, Scrap. Nap. They rhyme. Good things, and they rhyme, must be a sign.
Thank you for the heartfelt comment on my new LO of me and Caitlyn when she was little. I got all emotional when I read your comment. Guess i am feeling sappy lately.

We have our moments- like on Friday when I wanted to wring her neck. But I am glad that someone else sees how much I love that girl anyway. And itsn't hard to believe that that little cutie pie is the same girl in my avi? Cripes, they grow up too fast!!!lol

Nana LInda- yikes, lady! Where do you get all of that energy??? Fun and busy day you had, hope that today will be a quiet(er) one for you. Congrats on the wii!
Its so much fun!

Laurie- yes, how did the dancing go? I would be in so much pain! Not only from the dancing itself, but from falling on my a$$ so much too hahahha! I am a klutz on a good day ;)

Clara- I am so soooo happy that you got to go to the concert. IMHO- you needed that. Sounds like a fabulous time, a little break from real life. Safe trip to Georgia.

Meg- that is way too funny!!!! Love these stories! Were you able to get everything worked out with your kit/shop? Hope so.

ME- 7 bags of clothes? That is an awesome score! I miss the days when I would get bags of hand me downs for the kids. You must be getting so excited!

trudy- I hate hate hate snow! If I woke up and saw it all, my mood the past few days would be positively charming compared to what it would have been then. You'll here me complain quite a lot about it, and by Feb. I'll be threatening to move to FL. Hope it warms up and melts quickly for you.
Sounds like some good shopping too- even if you need to buy a stock pot for soups.... the splints in your jaw don't sound like much fun. How long will you need to have them in?

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Dancing was fine until the third lesson - 40 min floor time- 5 min break each lesson- my feet were killing me- not being a professional dancer- it is hard to suck it up- but I switched to my lower heels and persevered- by the end of the first lesson I had worked up a sweat! I am hoping to have my son tape it on the 5th and then start a private youtube account and then I can share the link by pm for those that want to see us- I will be wearing the black handkerchief hemmed beaded dress I bought on vacation!! I figure as long as we don't fall down, it will be fine. We will be doing a practice run at the Dec 3 party- lots of new people will be there- so most won't know when we mess up- just we will. I feel good about what we have been able to accomplish- this solo dance is so special as it is our wedding song! Okay- need to bill pay- yikes and yuck!

Im having to flyby real quick. I'm in bed waiting for the shower and Riley is laying on my chest blocking my view of my phone!! She's driving me nuts.

I guess there was a major fight after jeff left work last night, and only three officers were there. The graveyard Sgt had to punch several gang members in the face. So glad Jeff wasn't there!!!!

Ooo...Meg...that DOES sound scary.

Chris, you are so welcome on the comments. I must be a bit sappy myself to have teared up.

And Laurie, what was your wedding song? I sure hope you can post it to YouTube! I'd love to see it!

my wedding song was colour my world by Chicago- and the best part is now that we are able to keep the beat we are doing this fancy do si do where we are holding hands in front and behind and walk (painfully slow) around in a circle when they say - and now that you're near promise..... Way cool in my book- yeah I am that old!

meg- glad he got punched by the old lady and not have to take care of the gang members!

Hi ladies, just got home from my husband's cousin's house. One of her kids had their confirmation today, so we went up for the Mass and party. Lots of family from out of town - Miami, NC, and PA. It was fun to see everyone. :) But, boy am I tired.

Laurie - the dancing sounds great.

Meg - where does your DH work? I must've missed that - I am guessing something in law enforcement from your stories ...

Trudy - so sorry to hear about your jaw.

Linda - glad the party was fun, and you got a Christmas gift for you and Mike.

Hi Chris and Linda and anyone else I missed.

Off to cook dinner and do some laundry.

i wanted to do some personals but it would be nearly impossible fro my phone. we are in the car headed to georgia. i offered to drive after the last stop but derek didn't make me so i'm getting over my annoyance at him for buying food when we already have a bunch. i made chicken salad and stuff. i finally have my family not stopping every hour when we are on the road. they are horrible to travel with. they stop every hour to 90 minute for half an hour at the worst places that take forever. it is so frustrating. i just want to get there. it doesn't help that i have a bladder of steel and can stop and pee only when we get gas.

so all of the portable dvd players we had crapped out and we had a smaller flat screen and an adapter for the lighter plug in for a regular plug so derek just brought the kids a regular tv for the 8 hour drive. as he would say, while pointing to his head "it's not just a hat rack." it is working pretty well except that i was gonna scrap and now i can't because i needed to plug in my computer. lol.

okay, i'm tired of the tiny keyboard. love you guys and i'll attempt some love for you guys tomorrow.

Love that song Laurie!

Clara, that's too bad that you can't scrap...on the other hand, I'm sure that it's better to have the kids entertained!

Why did I decide to become a PTA instead of a teacher? This class is kicking my butt. I had an A but now down to a mid B thanks to doing so bad on so many quizzes. There is so much to learn about the brain. I just hope I retain some of this information for the exam and can pull my grade back up to an A. I won't be on here again till tuesday. Then maybe I can scrap again.

Katrina -- Good luck studying!!! I know it's hard to give up scrapping when you have to focus on school -- I had to give it up for a whole year!

Clara -- hopefully they fall asleep & you can plug in your computer :)

ME -- He's a security Sgt on a reservation, so he basically is a manager for the security at their resort/casino/hotel. His training and degree is for law enforcement, but California has zero money & there's been a lot of cops getting laid off, so the ones with more experience than him are getting better jobs.
Enjoy your time with family!!

Laurie -- I want to see your dance!!! I can't wait!!!

Chris -- Sorry about all the family drama :-\ it gets old pretty quick, huh?

Linda -- Woo!!! I love Operation Christmas Child!!!! I hope you're able to get some scrapping done soon, but naps are totally worth it!!!

Nana Linda -- I'm going to start calling you Party Linda!!!! Seriously, every week you have a party!!!

Jeff's off at work, they should be getting some snow right about now! He's going to send me pictures, so if he remembers to, I'll try to scrap a page out of them! His best work buddy lives further up the mountain, on the edge of Yosemite, and he's snowed in. I had to force Jeff to go to work, he doesn't like to go when his buddy is at home playing video games without him, LOL! His friend had us buy him a new video game before work yesterday, because he knew he'd get snowed in today.

I've been hiding in our bedroom all day... the house is a mess... my in-laws decided to EMPTY EVERYTHING FROM THE CUPBOARDS... and that's it. They haven't touched the mess for 24 hours. & I don't want to use my office because 1) it's cold 2) my chair is falling apart and unusable 3) people can still bug me. So, with my bedroom door closed, it looks like I'm napping!! Which I actually have been... because I've been sitting in bed under the covers LOL.

Ugh, some bad news... I need advice. I discovered that a designer lifted some CU brushes & stuff from a very very old freebie CU blog, and is selling the stuff as her own. The blog is defunct -- and the offending designer owns the shop she sells in. So, all I can think of doing is trying to contact the blog owner, if I even remember the blog. I only recognized the freebies because I had downloaded them a few years ago & came across them when I was upgrading versions of photoshop & had to move my brushes.
What should I do???

Hello my "O" family... have been MIA today, just doing CT things and also because I am in so much pain with this darn jaw of mine. We went for supper to the In-Law's last nite and I am really paying for trying to eat some of the things that I shouldn't , ouch!!! So today I used my new stock pot and made some pepper cheese soup yummmmm! and no chewing!! Wish this was over already, I could really use a break from the pain for a while. Ok enough whinning, I will try to post some personals tomorrow. Please know that I love you all and I am not ignoring you on purpose!
