Thanks for the coffee, Kat!!!

The hubby is on his way home from work, bringing chow mein!!! I think the chow mein is to soften the blow that Rodney Atkins is playing up at the casino next month, and Jeff gets to be there because of work. There's no way we could even consider me buying a ticket to see him, because they're ridiculously priced. I paid less to see Michael Buble in a better concert hall, with premium level seats.

We're going to stay up until about 2am again, it's our new routine!

OH SO LADIES -- Those of you with smart phones and/or phones with facebook -- THIS WEEKEND if you go to CHIPOTLE and "Check-in" to Chipotle using facebook's "places" & show it on your phone when you place your order... You get buy one get one free!!!!!!

I just wish the Chipotle being built nearby was open :'( we'll have to drive to another part of town if we're going to take advantage of this.

Chow mein?? YUMMMM!!! And how is Chipotle? I see them all over town here but never ate at one.

Thanks for the coffee Kat!! I am sure Chris won't mind we're helping ourselves to a cup :eyebrows:

I'll check back in later - I'm a blah mood. Just bored!

Petra -- Chipotle is AMAZING. I love their vegetarian burrito w the fajita veggies + guacamole + corn salsa... and all the other goodies. Their meat stuff is good too, but I started going to Chipotle when I was a vegetarian... and like every restaurant I frequented as a vege... I can't bring myself to try things other than my old favorites. I still prefer "grilled cheese" meatless cheeseburgers at In N Out over their burgers.

Feel better <3

Good morning ladies- I am moving ever slower than usual so far. i think all of my running around wore me out and I am getting a cold. I went to bed around 8 and slept until 9 (13 hours) and I am still feeling kind of cruddy.

But the sun is shining and we are supposed to get up to the mid-60's, so it looks to be a beautiful day.
My dad is coming up tomorrow to help me finish the leaves so i need to get out in that sun today and start cleaning up the yard.

We don't have a Chipoltes here, sounds kind of like South of the Border maybe? I looove homemade guac. So good! Eat some yummy food for me!

Kat-- you rock! Thanks for the coffee honey!!!! Hope that you have a FAB day! How is your family doing? And you??

Meg- I have no idea who that is, but I hope that the chow mein did the trick.

Petra- hope you have an awesome day.
Does this help? :caked:

ME- have fun at the bazaar!

Laurie- have a fun day too- hope your weather is as nice as mine is here in NJ.

Nana Linda- You have an awesome day planned! Glad that you had fun last night.

Better get ready for the shower.... and all that fun stuff..... more coffee first tho!

I'm seriously about to go beserk at the people at my CVS pharmacy. For three months now I've wanted them to take my maintenance meds off Ready-Full (where it's auto filled for you) because of the traveling that we do... I can't always pick up my meds at that one pharmacy!!! Grrr! Ugh, well, hopefully I can find my insurance card from my dad, now that I'm under his again thanks to the healthcare law & see if I can get three months supply at once instead of one month... like our insurance switched us to.

This morning we need to rush to the grocery store to get the ingredients to make my Can't Leave Alone bars for one of Jeff's co worker's birthdays.

recipe please MEG!!!!!

It is so good to hear someone say something nice about the health-care bill. I am a way left leaning girlie, and IMHO, the bill didn't go far enough to provide coverage. But it always warms my heart when I hear that it is helping people, since so much of the news coverage on it is negative.
(Was that as non-biased as I meant it to be?)

Happy Saturday everyone... :rain: here again today, guess I better get used to it. I do live on the Wet Coast!! Dragging my behind today, probably because of the weather, hubby was up at 5:30 and let me sleep until 8:00 so now he has crawled back into the bed and will most likely stay there for a few hours. I wrapped up my nieces Christmas gift calendar and it is ready for the trip to Australia. I decided to do 3 all together, one for my brother and SIL and one for more nephew who is also living in Aussie land. I will miss my brother and his wife, we are very close and they will be visiting their kids for 6 months, it will not be the same around here without them. So we are off to their house tonight for dinner and drinks and most likely we will spend the night, no drinking and driving :nono: Our laws have really buckled down on drinking and driving and your vehicle gets taken away on the spot if you are caught. Enough with the novel... on to personals.

Kat - thanks for the coffee!! I really needed that!! Hope your scrap therapy went well, I only managed one lo last night and it was a lift, but I so love to do lifts!!

Petra - glad that you are feeling better after your nap! How is your niece doing?? Any better yet??

Me - hope you have fun at your school's bazaar!!

Laurie - last mow of the year...we did that a few days ago, it was great to be in the garden, will miss all the lovely color, but its time for all the plants to sleep and be ready for the spring. It will be a long winter I'm afraid, forecast is for a lot of snow for us this year. We had none to speak of last year. Hope you get your Christmas lights up, great idea to do them before the bad weather sets in!!

Nana Linda - (my sister) so glad you had a fab time at Carrie Underwood!! You waited an extra long time to go to see her LOL. Sounds like you have a full day planned, hope its lots of fun!

Chris - lucky you the sun is shining, get outside and get that vitamin D!! It will make you feel so much better!

Meg - sounds like a good recipe to perhaps send all of our way!! Pleeeese!!

Have a wonderful Saturday everyone - to all those that I have missed you know I luv ya all!!

Lol Chris, there's some things in the bill I agree with, and others I don't. That's pretty much how it goes with every bill, no matter what "side" is behind it. I'm the moderate one of the family, lol... my cousins are super left, our grandpa was in the first Bush's cabinet (Ag dept) and my dad was a lobbyist. The health care bill actually really really screwed us, other than me being able to go back on my dad's insurance for my prescriptions.

OK! Here's the recipe - they're fudge cake bars.

1 package (18 ¼ oz) white cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup (6 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
¼ cup butter, cubed

In a bowl, combine first three ingredients. With floured hands, press two thirds of the cake mixture into a greased 13x9in pan. Set remaining cake mixture aside. Microwave the remaining ingredients uncovered on high for 45 seconds; stir. Microwave 45-60 seconds longer or until chips and butter are melted; stir until smooth. Pour over crust. Drop teaspoons full of the remaining cake mixture over the top. Bake at 350* for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool before cutting.

So we did two batches... waited for them to cool... washed one of the pans to do a third batch... and just before putting the third one in the oven, Jeff realized the spatula tip was missing. It was there before the third batch started, because I hand washed it.

So now we've cut the pieces in half & are keeping the third batch! We'll be playing hide-and-seek spatula.

Meg- a whole batch to play- hope you don't find it till the end!

Lawn is mowed, went shopping after dance, and bought dh new casual shoes and a new suitcase- how sad that that is exciting- but since he uses it Mon- thurs and had the old one I bought him for 5 years, I guess it was time - plus with the great sale at Kohls and kohls cash- it was worth it!

You guys are soo funny!!! I just love reading the Os everyday, even if I don't post!! Know that I'm in here lurking if you don't hear a peep!! :)

Well, craft show #3 happened today. It was okay...again I sold enough to cover the booth fees. Other than that, it was just a nice day to sit in a church and meet new people. LOL!!! I'm learning a lot about craft shows and people...and me...and my business, which i still LOVE! (which is good!! LOL!!). I have one more craft show, and this one is in an artsy district of Houston. I'm hoping to appeal to the more artsy crowd with my mini quilts! At least today, I got a lot more questions about them than the last two shows. It certainly is a fun journey!!

I'm gonna scrap all night tonight (as late as I can keep my eyes open), so I'm hoping to show off the babies in the gallery!!

have a wonderful Sunday tomorrow, everyone. I'll be at church, then cooking here, then with the babies with mr gorgeous. He hasn't seen them yet, so we're going over there to hold babies and watch football. My brother has one of those big a@@ screen tvs!! LOL!! so we can watch the Cowboys lose in giant-vision!! LOL!!!

love you all!!!

I'm going to panic until we find it!! I really hope it didn't end up in the batches that went to work with Jeff!!!!

Ugh, so I've been working non-stop -- that seems to be the norm for me lately, huh? I got my newsletter set up -- FINALLY! It took me forever to find a newsletter service that was super easy and free/cheap. I tried PHP List, but it was going to be too much work & I use google for my domain email, which caused it to not work. So, I'm using Mad Mimi, free until I get so many subscribers. It's all drag and drop, I don't have to code unless I want to! LOVE IT!

Went to target - PACKED WITH PEOPLE! Even for a Saturday!!! They were doing CHRISTMAS SHOPPING! Wow. There's actually lots of good packaged gifts there, if you find yourself in a pinch. Too bad I just needed oatmeal & toothpaste!

Tomorrow I have church, one appraisal, and hopefully some rest! I need to finish packaging & make the preview images for my two kits for this week... not looking forward to that, because I always end up adding more/changing things.

OK, time to catch up on personals!

ME -- I hope you had fun at the Holiday Bazaar!!

Laurie -- Wow, Christmas decorations already?!?!?! Well, weather's a great excuse!

Linda -- I'm jealous. Jeff got to see Billy when he played at their work... sigh... and now I'm going to miss Rodney Atkins!! Jeff keeps flaunting it in my face, he gets to meet so many musicians & celebs like Regis! Grrrr.

Chris -- I hope you felt better!!! Colds are yucky!!

Trudy -- you're going to Australia? I'm so jealous!!! I hope you have a wonderful time seeing your fam! Feel free to send that rain down south to me :)

Laurie -- Woo!! New suitcase!!! I haven't been to Khols in forever... I should check them out for Christmas gifts!

Sally -- I hope all goes well with the next craft show!! Around here, people usually go more for the cheapest stuff at craft shows. That's just what I've noticed.

*Phew*
I know I missed some, I was making myself dizzy scrolling up and down the page!

I'm waiting for Jeff to get home from work, watching the news... he's supposed to get caught in winds up to 50mph on his drive home tonight. The news camera 1000 feet below him wasn't shaking, but there wasn't anything near it that could show me the wind speed. I hope the wind is closer to Yosemite, and that he doesn't get caught up in it!

Ugh, so I'm still having the hardest time making kit previews -- mostly with layering the elements. It's hard, because that's what sells the kit! I finished the preview for my Christmas Hearts kit & I'm super unhappy with it. Oh well, I'll use LOs to show everything.

I'm going to go work on my current pet project while I wait for Jeff! <3 see you ladies tomorrow!

Happy Sunday! All of you are just reinforcing my decisions to do most of my shopping online! The last couple of days I have been trying to pop on to Amazon and see what recommendations they have. I am throwing stuff into my cart and when I have the time and money and a better idea of who needs what- I'll click "checkout"

I hate shopping on a good day. My family was very surprised and shocked that i didn't even want to shop while we were in Disney. For those of you who don't know, I am a Disney addict. My whole kitchen is Mickey Themed- dishes, silverware, decorations etc. I have a Mickey tattoo with Scott's name on it, a whole cabinet of Disney collectibles. C-mas tree is all Disney, clothing is about 50% Disney. So you would think I would want to shop there. I must be old or cranky or something b/c I simply cannot handle crowds. Not even for Mickey stuff ;)

Meg- that recipe sounds yummy- do you think it will work with yellow cake mix? I think I have that in my house, but I know I don't have white.
Did you ever find that spatula? I did that one with a ring. Now I take my rings off before i bake LOL

Linda W have a great time today at the party!!! Your days sounds like a lot of busyfun! I hate you that you are working on C-mas.... (JK!)

Sally- have fun with Football today! My dad is coming up- we're doing his b-day b-fast here, then he and I are going to rake/blow leaves. Then he and Gary are watching the games on the big screen while my mom and I visit a while.

Posting this now since I need more :tea: BRB!

Ahh, so much better with :tea:

Meg- do you have a link for your newsletter?
A little tip that I figured out to help with the scrolling and posting for personals- I have 2 tabs open, one for the thread I am replying too and one for the thread I am reading from. That seems be to be easier for me to flip back and forth than scroll up and down.

Trudy- wishing I could send some of our sunshine your way!

Laurie- good shopping for you! Love that Kohl's cash!

I know I am missing people so let me send out a huge hug to everyone. My parent are going to be here in a bit and I should probably shower and scoop the litter boxes before they get here....

have a fab day!

Nana Linda -- Have a great day at the party!!!! I hope it goes without a hitch!

Chris -- Thanks for the tip! I've done that a few times, but my brain farted last night. I've done the recipe with yellow cake mix, and it was OK. Not the same, but still very good! My newsletter signup form is in the sidebar on my site, I haven't set up a signup page just yet -- not sure what to put it under or give it it's own tab. The sidebar was the easiest.

Last night Jeff didn't get home until almost 1am, blergh!!! I guess when any of the Lt's or Sgt's have reports to finish, everyone stays until the last one is done, so they goof off with each other. Interesting. When he got home and heard me coughing, we decided we should skip church. This cough can make buildings rattle.
So, I'm going to work on designing some more stuff today & do my one appraisal report this afternoon. I think I'm almost ready to apply at some more stores, my current shop just doesn't fit me at all. Clara & Petra gave me some ideas on where to cold call. But, I don't know, I honestly still don't feel like I'll ever be ready.

Morning ladies ... I think I must have confused you Meg when I posted about my fam in Aussie land ?? I am not the one going to Australia, it's my brother and his wife who are going to stay with their daughter and son down unda. I wish it was me!!! I would love to go to Australia and lucky them they get to stay for 6 months!! Anyway its :rain: again today so hubby and I are going to go shopping for closet organizers so we can finally finish off our closet, then its cleaning time and perhaps set up the Wii that my brother gave to me to use while he is gone. Can't wait to try the Wii fit and see if I can finally get back into some kind of exercise routine. Hopefull I will have time to do some scrapping today also.

Meg - I sure hope that you found your spatula!! I am sure that you will have much success with finding more stores to sell your kits, sounds like you are very critical of yourself, but then most talented artists are!! Don't be so hard on yourself hun.

Chris - Could you please pour me a cup of coffee, I could use some more caffine today!! I know what you mean about shopping, I would prefer to do all my shopping online, can't stand the big crowds anymore, it must be our age??? Nahhhhh it couldn't be that!

Laurie - I wish we had Kohls here, I always see great commercials for them but darn it we don't have them up here. I will have to search one out when I go Orlando in January.

Nana Linda - whew you had a busy day yesterday and now you get to have a fun day with your grandson's birthday, what could be better than that. You also went for lunch at the Steak house, I would kill to be able to chomp into a nice thick juicy steak !!

Sally - hope your next craft show is more profitable for you! Have a great afternoon with those beautiful babies!!

I am off to the shower to get ready to go shopping for organizers, not too exciting but at least its time spent with DH. Have a great Sunday everyone:wave:

I Found the SPATULA!!! WOOO!

Right now I'm running a script in photoshop to extract all my elements from the PSD that I dump them all in as I make them. Then, I'm off to do my appraisal report. Looks like I'm going to have to wait a bit longer to get my tablet, the hubby needs new work boots, and he's picked out some very pricey ones. I swear he doesn't own a pair of shoes that were under $100, other than his flip flops.

Trudy -- I love the organizers by "Real Simple"... we registered for all of them!!! Lol, yep, I was confused!
