Daily Ooo's Weekend Edition: June 20-21: Father's Day!

Morning ladies!

I hope the fact that there is not a thread started yet means Chris is taking it easy and resting. And feeling better.

I feel a little recharged compared to yesterday, but it does help that it is bright and sunny here. I'm sorry for all of you that are stuck under rain clouds: Chris, Kat, Ona.....

Guess what? All the caterpillars are hanging upside down in their j-shapes. That means they are starting to become chrysalisi (I have no idea how to properly plural that!). I think I'm as excited as Ben. They are supposedly really fragile right now, so the trick will be to keep Ben from grabbing the container.

Anyone got any interesting Father's Day plans? (Aside from Clara...) We will spend a little time with family, but nothing major. I hope today we can get over to the in-laws and Ben can play over there for a bit.

Good morning- yes I got to sleep in today along with the help of some sleep meds! I was really out of it yesterday. I guess even a chatterbox like me (and Clara ) need some time off.
Even at my MIL's, I pretty much kept my ipod on....

But hopefully today I am back to normal, whatever that may mean. There were lyrics from one of the songs in Next To Normal that I could so totally relate too:

I don't need a life that's normal

Speaking ... in my own round about way (haha!) of Lyme, Gary and my Lyme dr is going to be coming to a Town Hall presentation of Under Our Skin (Lyme documentary) next Monday. We are going to go to the meeting, but will most likely not stay for the movie, since we own it. No point sitting for 2 hours (and crying throught it!) -- BTDT!
But it makes me so glad to see that the word is spreading and people are getting better info on this awful disease.

This weekend is "overwhelming" me ATM- not sure if it is going to be relaxing or not.
I have so much housework to catch up on, and my head is all buzzy/floaty inside.

Tomorrow we are going to MIL's for Father's Day, my parents 45th anniversary and for my b-day (41 next week, gah!). Cait and I have to make a cake, and I have to make the F-day gifts for the men. My dad's is done, but I stil need to get my a** going for my FIL and for Gary.
(Nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh?)

Just some backgrund for the people who might not know- I and an aromatherapist and own Faery-Wings Apothecary. I am hoping to sell my products in a local shop on consignment.

Hi Sara! Sooo cool on the caterpillars, ben is gong to be amazed! Are they Monarchs? That is what we "raised" in one of my PreK classes. It was so cool when we let them go.

ME: poor little guy! How is Christian today? Hope it was a one time deal!

Linda- you look awesome in that photo! Hey, we are all allowed to have "blah" days. I am sure Cameran just loves being with you no matter what.
And I so hear you on the pampering bit. I don't get why I have a hard time taking care of myself, or why I feel guilty when I do. Crazy!

Andrea- so glad that you are here in the Oo's! I hope that we can be a great support for you while your dh is gone. Give him a hug from us and let him know how much we appreciate what he is doing.

Ona- guess what here??? It is still raining too! Ahhhhhhhhh!

Good morning ladies....I have already been scrapping this morning...I was up early...but what's new!! I did A LOT of scrapping this week....and now....I need to catch up on everything else!! I feel quite a bit better today...I hate those very emotionally stressful days!!

No huge plans here...we are surprising my Mom and Dad tomorrow...they were suppose to be going out of town this weekend but cancelled at the last minute..so they think we are celebrating July 4th and Father's day at the same time....but we are all surprising them...we are going to show up after church with all the food in hand.

Clara.....I know you won't be reading this too soon...but when you do...WOO HOO on that jump!! DYING to hear all about it!! Crazy Girl!!

Sara....I can't wait to see photos of the Caterpillars/Butterflies....I am
going to be lazy here and ask...where can I go check on these? I could research the net...but figured I would ask first...Ha!

Chris....Don't drive yourself too crazy...just do what you can and the rest will take care of itself..enjoy your weekend!!....That's great about the Dr speaking to your town...AWARENESS...you have to make people aware to get anything done!!....I am going to check out your Products....so cool!! Thanks for the compliment!! DH took that just before we left to go to Wrestling....speaking of which...I am going to put up my photos on my facebook this weekend.

Good morning, everybody!
We are having Father's Day today, as tomorrow Vince will be getting everything together for his trip. He has to drive to the port in South Carolina, which is 3-4 hours away. SO that's not so bad. Maybe the girls and I can even brave a weekend visit to his hotel. BTW, besides my grown up college boy (Quinn) I have two little girls (Atha who is 4 and Jenny who is 2 1/2). Atha loves to ride in the car, but Jen has a developmental issue which makes her very simulus-craving, and sometimes she gets pretty wound up on long drives. But we may go for it anyway, just to see Dad!

Ona- I get it, Wombat= Australia! Hope the rain has stopped for now! Ditto Kat and Chris. Blah! Sending you a little ray of (humid) sunshine from the South Eastern US!

Linda- glad you are feeling better today! What a fun idea, surprising Mom and Dad. I'm sure they'll be super thrilled!

Chris- one bigggg healing breath for you. *Whhhhhhheeeeeeeewwwwwww* I was once diagnosed with Lyme's, but then a few months later they did another test and told me I don't have it... Tho from what I have read, diagnosis is really tricky. I have had some mysterious periods of illness and fatigue, which never have been adequately diagnosed or treated. Good news is right now I'm feeling great, physically at least! Hey, what's your favorite Lyme in the Coconut product? Which one should I get?

Linda - That's not lazy at all. I really like this stuff, but it did take a long time to ship. Exactly three weeks from the day I put the certificate in the mailbox. So I would wait until closer to when come to tell the kids about it. Ben almost was bored with the idea before they came since we had been talking about them for weeks. Here's the website:

All of them are turning into chrysalids now. So tomorrow or the day after we'll be able to take them out and pin them up on the net "butterfly pavilion". Then it will be maybe a week before they turn into butterflies. =) Woo-hoo! I have Hollie's butterflies and I just bought her and Dawn's new Play kit that I think will be perfect for the pics. =)

HelloOO my friends . Just a quick checkin. DH is irritated at me...I was up til 1:30 working on my digidare layout last night....and been searching most of the day today for things for it. Do y'all do that with your layouts? I get obsessive about finding exactly the items I'm seeing in my head. It's not like my layouts are the best out there or anything, LOL..but when I have an idea I just gotta do it 'that' way or it's just not right! hahaha No wonder my head hurts all the time!

ooooh, lovely ones....do any of you have any sweet photos of your children riding a pony/horse? I am in desperate need of 1 or 2...or even just the animal itself. One of the designers I CT for has a darling kit coming out that 'needs' that type photo! I'd love to 'rak' one you with a layout! TIA (((hugs)))

Kat....I have been seeing you all over the "O" today!! Glad your little one is sleeping good and recovering Sorry about your rain too....It was SCORCHING AND HUMID here today! Miserable every time we went out! Suppose to be a little cooler tomorrow...I hope, so we can eat outside at my MOM's.

Hey ladies!!

So, I officially am a person who has jumped out of a plane. I wrote out a whole post about it...Airplane Adventures. Check it out. Besides that it has been a pretty good weekend. We drove up to my parents last night. My sis and some friends came over and we had a great time. Then I ran off to bed. My mom has this habit of offering my husband martinis that always become an event. So they were up nice and late. After I had been asleep for awhile I woke up to my dh and my mom yelling through the house. Apparently a bat had gotten into the house and my husband found it when he came downstairs to fill up his beer. So he was trying to get it out with a pool stick while my mom was upstairs trying to make suggestions without coming downstairs. It was the strangest thing to be woken up to but was absolutely hilarious.

So now today I am back at my mom's where we are having an authentic mexican meal. I am in charge of dessert and am making fried ice cream. I hope it comes out awesome. we'll see. I got the recipe from Emeril. Hopefully we play some games tonight and have a great time. Tomorrow we have to get up and moving to get home in time for church service for the grand opening this weekend after nearly a year of construction. It is very exciting.

So...I haven't done personals in a while so I guess I'll get on it...

Sara - the catepillars are awesome. I think I'll check out that link and maybe look into it for Ethan. I think He would love it. I love those pics. let us know when yo make a page.

Chris - I am so glad to hear that there is some Lyme awareness. I hope you get everything done and have a great time for Father's Day.

Linda - How fun to surprise your parents. I LOVE surprises. Getting and giving them. I hate getting presents early and having surprises spoiled. Very cool that you have alreaady done lots of scrapping today.

Kat - thanks for thinking of me. I appreciate it. I hope your rain goes away.

mrsaboyer - I can't remember your first name. Sorry. Have a great day. I hope the car ride goes well.

Dawn - Don't you hate that when you have a vision and it just doesn't come together like you want and no one seems to have had your vision to create a kit for exactly what you need. I hope your page came out great.

Yesterday was a totally unmotivated day for me, so I am looking forward to having to do stuff to for Fathers day.

Clara- I am sooo impressed, i could never have done it! But I am really glad you had a good experience!

Andrea- hope you and YMG (Your Mr Gorgeous ) had a nice F-day. Fav. Lyme stuff...hmm, they all smell so good. It is a combo of coconut lime and verbena.... But I am a sucker for shower gels. LOL
