Yay for weekends!

Yup, today I got to sleep til 7 am (woot woot- that is late for me compared to school days) and I am so excited to be able to spend the day with my BFF Jenn and in NYC!

Sandra- Poor Piper. But she seems to be a little social butterfly and I am sure she will adjust!

Dawn, i'll have to look into those drops. How is Davy behaving this morning? Too bad bunnies don't understand "time outs" LOL!

Linda- we are in until the 23! ugh... We go back right after Labor Day. But is seems like June is just going so sloooooow!

Sara- Oh I cried in Wicked too, and every time I see Rent. The producer and director of those two are producer and director of this one, so I *know* it is going to be amazing and emotional!

Clara- my fingers are crossed that everything works out well for Derek. Stubborn men. At least he is working on it, before it really was too late.

Sara- If you are seriously thinking about a small pet, I am going too recommend rats. I know, most people say eeeeewww! But after having them, they are so sweet. They are very social and love to be handled. They are better to have as pets then gerbils or hamsters for that reason. Scott's rats were so much fun, we really loved them.
Just a thought!

Oh no Dawn! I am so glad I grabbed Nina's new stuff earlier yesterday. I had fun playing in the afternoon. Hope the shop is up soon, if it isn't already.

Sara!!! Hawt momma! You can do it! 16 lbs is a great start!

Oh man, I gotta go- I want to straighten my hair today so I better hit the shower!

Happy Weekend everyone!

I got to thinking, I hope y'all know I'm mostly kidding about Davy! He's a doll, there are soooo many breeds of rabbits, he's a Dutch (and still young) and they do tend to be quite energetic and get into things, climb on things, etc. But rabbits do make great pets, there are many books about the different breeds and how to choose the one that's right for you. I wouldn't trade him for anything :). He's the most fun pet I've ever had. Of course, wait til later today, I may be singing a different tune LOL.
 
oooh, Chris, I hope you have a blast on your little excursion! The play sounds awesome, I can't even imagine seeing a play on Broadway in NYC!! eeeeek, how exciting!!
 
Morning!!

I'm excited that we don't have anything really planned for today. I think that maybe I'll clean up our den so I can set up my new printer/scanner! =) I'll have to test it out on some pictures. =)

Chris - Have a great time at the play! I'm sure you'll have a great time and you'll look fantastic! We actually have rats at school every year and they are pretty good. I'll keep that in mind. I haven't decided yet if we are going to get anything more than a goldfish. Our butterfly larvae should be here Monday, so we'll see how that goes.

Dawn - I can certainly do that....a I need is Photoshop magic and a little time. Oh, and a pic of you. If anyone else wants to check out my little Photoshop experiment at the end of yesterday's thread, feel free. =)

Happy Saturday!! :)

Got to enjoy my coffee out on the deck to a GORGEOUS sunny morning...carried the laptop out there and sat out for about 2 hours....it was nice!! Cameran spent the night, and we are headed out to see UP at 12...and not too sure about the rest of the weekend....but I am sure it will be something outdoors...NO RAIN in the forcast for a few days!!

Better hit the shower...hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!!:)

Chris....ENNNNNNNNNNJOY!!! the show...waiting to hear about the details...and wow...NYC...I am jealous!!!

Dawn....Hi there....your Davy sounds like a doll!! Sometimes I wish I could do the pet thing....but......too many kids!! big {{HUGS}} and email when ever you like....I know that everyone doesn't have the time like me...with working....probably what I need to be doing...but babysitting seems to be my job for the last few years :)

Sara....WOOOOO HOOOOO!! I think it's great you lost 16 pounds since Jan!! I lost about 15 lbs too...since about Oct....took me a little longer...I want to lose 10 more....but I am at a plato...just can't seem to move any more of it...if I would get off the computer and exercise.....well....you know the rest of that sentence!! and love the photoshop work! You look fabulous both ways dear!!!!

Good morning!! It is 10:00 and Addie is still sleeping. Whoohoo!! How awesome is that? We are headed to a friend's lake today. I hope the weather is nice. That would make today so much more fun.

I am so excited...My brother finally proposed to his girlfriend. He did a message in a bottle thing, got down on one knee and it was just awesome. I got to be the first one to see them and give them hugs and do all the congratulaing. I am just so excited for them.

Well, I have to go get ready for the lake.

Chris - Have an absolute blast tonight. You deserve it.

Linda - Sounds like a perfect morning. I'll have to do that one of these days, except I don't get up well in the morning and usually and typing away in bed. It still sounds nice though. I'll have to make it happen.

good afternoon! we were up and out early as we attended one of the summer programs for the kids at the arboretum... they got to dig in the dirt out in the children's garden their building and Matthew LOVED it! Then we had to get Matthew a haircut and do some shopping... kids needed some red, yellow, and orange shirts for the daycare field trips... they're going on tons this summer.. I also had to get some shoes that I can wear to work... not sure if the flip flop sandals I have will fly... I'll get a better feel for this after this first week...

Piper seems to be doing better now, and on Tuesday night I'm meeting my sister and she's going to take her for the rest of the week, then the boys and I will be driving to my mom's for the family reunion next Saturday... losing Daddy is what prompted the reunion, but oh how I wish he were here... he'd love it...

the rest of the day is going to be a quiet one... Matthew's down for a nap and Will and Piper are watching a movie... hope everyone's having a great Saturday!
 
Good morning!
Yesterday was awesome but soooo draining. But in a good way. The sun was shining when I did my hair (took and hour gah!) byt the time I left the house, it was cloudy. By the time I got to the other side of town, it was raining, and by the time I got to my MIL's, it was pouring. And it poured until I got home.
NYC is not the easiest place to navigate walking in sandals in the rain LOL

The show was amazing. It had a very "Rent" feel to it. If you saw Rent, you know what I mean-very rock, contemporary, minimalist setting.
The story line was heartbreaking and fun and hopeful. yes, I cried ;)

Caitlyn also won 2nd place at the Quilt show for the quilt she had entered! And she picked out some fabric for her next project she and her Nana a regoing to work on- Wizard of Oz theme. Looks like it is goign to be cool. I am so so soooo blessed that my kids have 4 very wonderful and involved g-parents. I might not have lots in the way of material stuff (or good health LOL) but I totally rock in the Family and Friends area (inlcuding all of you!) which in many ways is so much more important.

Speaking of which, my parents are here, bringing bagels and my clean laundry... :D
Gotta run, but I'll be back for personals!

Good Morning!! Hope you all are having a lovely weekend!! We ended up with all three grandkids last night...WOOO HOOO...boy I am worn out!! They will all be leaving shortly....I got up and cooked the whole big breakfast thing this morning....biscuits, sausage, gravy, bacon....they love it when I do breakfast!! They all slept like rocks...we were outside until about 9...the boys were playing football with pawpaw, and Jaiden was in her exesaucer while I was snapping pics all over the place...then my step daughter came by with her fiancee, and they played with them til about 10:30, and when they went to leave they saw a snake up under my DH's truck and we all went out so the boys could see....they loved it!! Then it was off to bed...for a hard night sleep!! Exciting...huh...LOL...we are just simple folks around here!!

Clara...GREAT news about your brother...CONGRATS to them!!

Sandra....I think that flip flops should be a requirement for work!! LOL!!

Chris...So glad you had a great time!! Sounds wonderful!! and Congrats to your DD!! That's really good!! and I would love to see the Wizard of Oz project when she's done....I am a Wiz of OZ freak!! I am a big collector...

Better run...play with my kiddos until their mommies show up!!:D

Chris-Did you hair hold up to the rain? I'm so glad you had a good time!!! The play sounds awesome! Congrats to Cait!!!!! Can't wait to see some pics of her next project, sounds cool :).

Sara-seriously, you are doing great with your wt loss! And your knowledge of PS blows my mind, I seriously could not tell that wasn't 'real' LOL.

Well, DH and I were on our way out to lunch...but one of his sisters(don't let me get started that's a huge soap opera with me) called...so here I am back... he'll be on the phone forever listening to her even though she has disowned him over and over and over and bad-mouthed me and our son and our daughter, etc. DH never stands up to her, I just want to bawl. Sorry, there Iwent and got started. grrr. Ok, deep breath, LOL.

Hey girls! I'm printing with my new printer. =) Ona - It's fantastic! Thanks for the recommendation and I hope you had a fabulous birthday!

Dawn - Make sure to be a Healthy O with us for this go around. We'll cheer each other on. =) Thanks for the PS complement. I love learning about it. I'd love to take some sort of class on it, but I don't really want to add another thing to the calendar. I did an intermediate one at another scrapbook site and it was o.k. I think I just need to find a good one to do online. =)

Woooohoooo the shop's back up!!!!! I have to say though, it's a good thing it was down a while, I was able to get quite a lot of scrapping done :).

absolutely! I have a pair of skechers sandals/flip flops that I might be able to get away with and a pair of dressier white ones... I'll have to get a feel for the place this week!

Dawn - my stomach is all tied in knots... I just don't know how I'm going to do this... the thought of leaving my kids has me so upset I feel like I'm going to throw up!
