Good Morning Ladies!!! Coffee is on...the fat free pastries are out!! Grab a cup and pull up a chair....and chat :)

How is everyone this morning? I hope everyone is doing well? Any special plans this weekend?

We are hoping to go to the zoo because it is supposed to be warm today, but my little one isn't feeling himself so we will have to play that by ear.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!

good morning! Daddy was doing okay last night when we visited the hospital... so far we're just taking it easy this morning... Gabe is taking Will and Piper to see Coraline today so I imagine we'll go to the hospital then... not much else going on for today!

Kat - hope your little one feels well enough to go to the zoo later!

have a great weekend everyone!

Quiet here! LOVE that! Mr Wonderful and I went out for dinner last night. He will be on the road all next week so we thought we'd go into town for prime rib. The little steak house in our town does the best prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights for $8.95. Everyother night they have filet mignon for $6.95. Cheap and good!
The folks in the designer challenge at Brownie Scraps are starting to post their freebie mini kits. The thread to access all the kits and download information is here. You'll have to register to be able to access the thread. My freebie is also on my blog.

Kat - enjoy the zoo. It's too cold here for much time at the zoo, but come spring - I'm there!
Sandra- so glad that you are getting a bit of down time. Also that your dad had a good night!

Hi ladies, so glad the weekend is here. The weather is supposed to be in the 50's here this weekend so hoping to spend lots of time outdoors. Today Christian and I are going to special area in the library called the DIscovery Room, and it's reserved just for kids, and they have lots of educational toys. And we hope to stop by the playground too.

Kat - hope Nick feels better so you can visit the zoo.

Sandra - hope you have a nice quiet day.

Linda - yum, that dinner sure does sound good. What a fantastic deal.

Love to everyone!

outside?? What is thing of which you speak??
We are still cold cold cold- 23* right now, and very cloudy. The news says we may see 41, but the way it looks, I kind of doubt it. Or if does, it is going to be too damp and raw to enjoy it.

One symptom of Lyme are night sweats, and they get really bad at certain times of the month. I had them so bad last night that I had pj's all over my bed room when I woke up from when I had to strip and change. I am freezing and sweaty at the same time. Miserable feeling! I need the sun so badly!! And warmth that actually gets deeper than my skin! I need it in my bones LOL

Every year in Feb, I swear I am going to move to Florida.....

Today we going to my MIL's for my BIL's b-day. The kids have so much fun together, I love it. The best part is my youngest niece who is 5-- she is such a tomboy and *adores* scott. I mean totally loves him, follws hom around, brings him bugs... And he eats it up, he gets such a kick out of her and I adore him for that. At 12 1/2 he is getting to the age where he might not want to be bugged by a little kid- but he doesn;t mind at all. Such a good kid I got- even if he failed two classes this semester grrrr....

Speaking of my boys, they came back from the show talking non-stop about Slipknot. I have seen more Slipknot vids on YouTube that I care to admit. But he had a blast! And while the music isn't 100% my taste- I do like metal-- but not that hard anymore (Gah! HHB! I am mellowing witrh age, make it siopppp!!!) they really put on a totally wild show!

Anyway better get going. I hope that everyone has a great weekend. Anyone going outside, soak up some sun and warmer air for me, Hope the little ones stay healthy, and the big guy (Sandra's dad) has a healing and restful day.

Have a great one!!

Love you all.

Hi all, still a bit scarce. Sorry. :(

My brother is still with us and will be for quite some time. I am sharing my computer with him at times and that is competing with my computer time.

Hubby threw out his back and has been home, that is competing with my computer time too by keeping me away. I've been icing his back and just giving him lots of TLC. Poor guy is in lots of pain and has back issues from way back.

My son got some horrible virus on his computer and it is a nightmare to remove. So he is using my computer to research. It's a strange virus that may just be in his bios or something because 7 different virus scans can't find it to remove it, but it's there. sigh...He already did the format route and it came back.

Kat, good luck getting to the zoo. Thanks for the coffee and yummy pastry. :)

Sandra, glad things have calmed down a little. Just said another prayer for your dad, you and your family.

Linda P, prime rib sounds yummy. I love horseradish with mine. :) Your restaurant sounds awesome.

Mary Ellen, have a great day and a good time at the library.

Waving to everyone that comes after and those I've missed in days before.

Have a super weekend.

Hugs,

Hi all!
I've been running some errands this morning. Now I'm home and trying to eat some real food. I couldn't even eat the soup I made last night. I felt awful again. I'm feeling good so far today though. We'll see what happens after I eat lunch. Chicken nuggets...not the healthiest, but not awful (and nice and plain). Then I'm going to get on my new wii Fit!! At some point this weekend, I'll have to go purchase a new washer/dryer. Gobs of fun.

Chris - I hope it warms up for you. It's like 60 here today!! woo-hoo. But it's supposed to big snow on Wednesday. So we'll enjoy it while we can.
Kat - Hope you get to the zoo. Ben has a low fever, otherwise we'd go out and about and enjoy the weather.
Sandra - Glad your dad is resting nicely. Hope things stay uneventful.
Merkee - Wow. Sounds like a tricky virus. I've never had to deal with one that bad. Good luck with it.
ME - I'm jealous. That's sounds like a day of heaven to me. A cool library and a playground with nice weather! Our libraries here aren't that fancy, although we have a pretty cool children's museum.
Linda - Sounds like you had a nice night. Sorry you'll be without him, but I'm glad you had a good time.

O.k. I'm off to Wii Fit I think. Have a great weekend everyone!!

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning. So today is the official start of having 3 kids. EEEEEEK!!! It has been interesting to say the least. My dh took Cristian's mom to post before the crack of dawn and she is off for a month. We got Ethan the i-coaster for him as a gift after breaking his arm so they were playing with that all morning which worked out great for awhile and then they started fighting. We are going to have to figure out how to handle that. I swear they are brothers from a different life. They are soooooo much alike it is crazy. If Cristian wasn't peruvian and hispanic they would even look alike. It will be interesting if nothing else. I think things will start calming down in a week or so though and everything will work out much easier.

This weekend I have no real plans. Just laundry, laundry and when I'm done with that some more laundry. I just cannot seem to get a handle on it. When DD was born we found a nanny for the same price as if we had the kids in daycare and part of her job was the kids' laundry. Now we no longer have her here and so I have all of their laundry too and I just cannot get it under comtrol. It doesn't help that my ds and dh think that the kids should wear different pajamas every single night and some stuff like that. Hopefully I can get it done. PLus now I have an extra kid's laundry to add to the mix. Fun times.

Well, I better head off to do that.

Kat - thanks for the coffee and the pastries. Yummy!! I hope you are able to get to the zoo today. Where in the world do you live that the zoo is even an option today?

Sandra - I don't know how you are balancing time for your dad and your kids. I am so glad your husband is pitching in like that so that you can balance everything. You are amazing. Big smooshy hugs for you!!

Linda - I will need to go and check out that website. That is so cool that you have a yummy inexpensive place to eat out like that. We went out last night and it was not so cheap, but it sure was yummy. Can't beat a little bit of BBQ although I am currently in the mood for some Korean BBQ.

ME - enjoy playing outside. It started heating up here a bit and then it started raining. Ugh!! Have fun at the library.

Chris - You need to find electric thermal underwear that warms you up during the day. That sucks about the night sweats, but hey at least you are getting some practice for menapause. Have fun at your BDay party. I have a friend with a 15 yo the same way with Ethan. It is so cool.

Merkee - It is great to see you back. Sounds like things are crazy at your house. I hope dh gets better soon. Poor guy.

Sara - You have been sick forever. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Have a great weekend. I am hoing to get my bag toppers done today. Wish me luck.

Good morning ladies!!!

Merkee- hope everyone and everything (computers!) get better asap.

Sara- are you sure this is still a virus? It has been really hanging on long... Hope that you feel better and that you can get some food down. Try ginger tea if the nausea is still very bothersome (use the root if you can).

Clara- you just amaze me -- you have such a generous heart. Good luck with the boys :)

Yesterday was fun at MIL's, got some cute pics I think.

I promised myself that today I was going to get my housework done early and the rest of the day, I am scrapping, go me!!!

Have a wonderful day!

Woo hoo! I'm feeling better. Thanks for all the good thoughts honies!

I ate regular yesterday and worked out on my new wii and I'm doing good. I think I'm finally over the hump with it.

My BMI on the fit was not good, but my Wii Fit age was two years younger than I really am and my balance was good. I did all the balance, all the aerobic, and all the yoga. I'm a little sore. =)

Gotta clean up the mess today. That would be my house. It's out of control. Have a good day all!

Good morning to all the O's! My name is Tiffany and i am a huge fan of the O. I was a big part of this community well over a year ago and enormous changes in my life kept my attention in other areas. Now things have finally settled down, i have a computer now with internet access and soooo many photos to scrap and catch up on. Nowhere else i would rather be than here! I hope to see my old friends and make many new friends. I am so excited to be back online and scrapbooking. I dont have any photos yet on my computer, but i will work on that and start scrapping with all the gorgeous stuff in the shop! :D

For those of you who remember me, things are going very well, i still live close to my mom with the boys and working for the drs office. i just recently got a promotion and will be head of referrals. I am still doing my photography and building websites for people. Caleb started Kindergarten last fall and had a rough start the first semester because he broke his arm on my birthday so he missed alot of school. Another long story....but this semester he is doing fantastic! Trevor is doing great and looking forward to Pre K this fall. I cant wait to catch up with all of you!!!! I missed you guys so very much!

Hi all! I am finally back after 11 days with no power! Ugh. President Obama did declare Ky a national disaster which should help aid in clean up and getting things back to 'normal'. I still can't believe what all we've been through, it still seems like a nightmare and we'll just wake up. It's funny it was soooo cold while no power and now it's in the 60s :).

One little elderly patient I saw this wk at work told me she lives alone and had no heat for over a wk. No one checked on her(I guess she has no family) and of course the phones were down as well. She said she was so cold that she would just stay in bed to try and stay warm. She said she was unable to think clearly at some points, unable to remember names, she's so lucky to be alive.

In our local paper today there was an article that said that Paducah, KY had a similar ice storm 100 yrs ago to the day of this one, complete with pictures, it was sooo eerie. That one cost the city $200,000. I hate to think what this one cost that city alone.

I take my car in tomorrow for repairs, I gotta show y'all this funny, a friend at work got me good Friday. My DH used cardboard and duct tape (you know men they use duct tape to fix everything) to make a temporary rear windshield. My friend, Marci, at work wrote "You Might Be A Redneck If..." in permanent marker on it. LOL hard to see in the pic...you can't see all the damage here, it doesn't look that bad but you know how much that kind of thing costs, outrageous!

YouMightBeARedneckIf.jpg

I missed you guys, can't wait to get all caught up on things, and scrapping! I am soooo far behind :).

Chris-I'm trying to blow some of our warmer air your way :). I'm giggling over your niece following your son around, at first I thought you said he eats the bugs . Nightsweats :( I had a hysterectomy and can't take hormones due to previous blood clots, I feel for you on the nightsweats. If you come up with a good remedy for them LMK!

Merkeley-I'm sending some bugspray your way, hope your DH gets rid of the nasty virus soon :(.

Tiffany-hi, happy to 'meet' you :), can't wait to see some layouts!

Sara-hope you get to feeling yourself soon, WTG on the exercising!

Clara-laundry, ugh! hope you were able to fit some fun in this weekend!

ME, Kat, everyone-hi, hope all is well!
