Daily Ooo's Weekend Edition 4/4 - 4/5

Morning all! I beat Chris. I hope you're feeling o.k. sweetie! I'm passing out tea and coffee and fat-free chocolate donuts to everyone!

I have class today, so I'll be gone. I have the unpleasant task of dealing with someone who has missed five out of seven assignments. How can you waste sooo much money by bailing out on a grad class. She's only like three classes away from graduating too. Oy vey.

Anyway...we have a dumpster at our house partially filled with misc junk and hopefully, after class and tomorrow I can clean out either the basement or our "den". I use that word loosely as my scrapping stuff and clothes are alllllll over it. =) The weather is supposed to turn nasty tonight though, so we'll see how it all goes.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend and has better weather than us!

good mOrning my O-Fam!

By the time I got home from TREP$ last night, I watched Cait count her money, and then went to bed! It was a long night for me LOL

I cannot say how proud I am of all of the kids who participated in this! You would not believe the stuff the the kids had made and were selling. There were several tables of beaded jewelry, Guitar hero guitar hangers, home made hummus, pretzels, cookies- popcorn- a boy who who is from France wore a beret and made crepes!
And these kids are 10-12 years old- just fabulous!
Caitlyn had made 30 Cuddlers and sold out! She started taking orders and is already working on them.
We all ended up buying a bunch of stuff too- I got a beaded bookmark from Cait's BFF, some roasted garlic hummus (mmmmmmm!), choc covered pretzels (another mmmm) and a handmade card for my G-ma's b-day on Monday. The girl ran out of B-day cards, so I got a pretty Thinking of You instead.. G-ma has Alzheimers and won't realize it anyway
The teachers who ran this were thrilled with its success. And I also got to meet the woman who develeoped this program. I told her that as an entrepeneur myself that I found the program to be perfect for the kids. (Oh, and I even got a Faery-Wings order from one of the teachers LOL)

I hope that they do this again next year, Caitlyn is already looking forward to it!

Chris, sounds like a great program for the kids. I'm glad they did so well.

I am going to be scarce for a while. It is always something. sigh....... I have somehow thrown out my back. Really thrown it out. I am not able to sit here long or do anything. I am icing it and just laying around. It's really scary with it this weak. It's never been this bad. So...if I'm not online, that's why.

We sure are getting busy!! I lOve it!

Hio Sara- hope that you get your cleaning done- too bad that you don't love near here- Cait's school is having a clothing/linen/toy drop off today. Just unload your junk at the school and the school gets $ per pound. Last year it was one of our best fundraisers, and I bet this year it will even be better, since no one can afford to buy from the fundraisers here.
Have "fun" with that student. I cannot imagine paying for a course and not putting in 110%!

*grabs ME and hugs her* OMG! That is great news about your dad! What a load of relief you must feel!

CLara- Enjoy the quiet week!! Hope that the boys are doing great and having fun "roughing it." :lol:

LindaP- how did the weather turn out for you? Hope no more snow, ugh- we just have a lot of rain.

Joslyn- I never watched ER, but how awesome that it inspired you in that way. You must be a fab nurse!

Sally- how are you feeling today? OMG- your post had me cracking up. I remember last year when I had allof my wisdome teeth out that I was cracking up on the laughing gas too and was trying the bribe the surgeon to let me bring some home hahahahah!
Hope that you are in not too much pain. And please don't sell Cora! We love her too. (We'd take her in a heartbeat, but I have no $$ to buy her....)

We are off to swimming lessons this morning. Last Saturday, Sydney wouldn't get in the water. Hopefully today will be better. Haoyi is at school taking an ACT test. And then the rest of the weekend is routine...just things like grocery shopping.

Quick Hi from me as we pack up the car (and the laptop) and go to the dallas/ft worth area to watch Quentin do well on his last and best gymnastics meet. It's gonna be a long drive...5 hours and the kids are already at each other's throats!! pray for me!

btw, my mouth is good...really sore, but nothing that regular tylenol can't fix!!

afternoon!

I've been working on my stuff for church all morning. I've been trying a new format on our handouts and am having some word 03 vs word 07 compatibility issues....and then i started on the power point, and realized my pastor forgot to fill in the blanks for me for the ppt. So I'm waiting for that.

Meanwhile, my house is TRASHED. Seriously. I've got to get the kitchen cleaned at least. My plan now as I finish lunch is to shower and dress, clean the kitchen and make my bed and then settle down to do the power point.

It all has to be done in time for 6pm service!

Good evening, ladies! Hope you are all having a good weekend. I am vegged out on the couch, catching up on Grey's (3 episodes behind) and scrapping. We went to a used books sale today, and I got some great books, especially picture books for Christian. The weather was nice today so we spent a lot of time playing outside on the playground and on our front lawn with his girlfriends. He is popular with the girls in the neighborhood, and they are all older, like 10 and 9! hee.

DH, our son, and I got back a little bit ago from our ride. I am wiped out. We had a good time though .

I've been working on a few layouts and I think it's time for a nap!

Merkee-you might try alternating the ice with heat every so often . I hope you can rest it and get to feeling better. I'm with the others, muscle relaxers would probably do you some good!

Sara-when you get done at your house come on over! Our closets haven't been cleaned out in forever LOL, I bet I have jeans from 4 sizes ago . Don't wear yourself out too much, try and have a little fun too!

Chris- that's awesome that the kids did so good and Cait's excited about doing it again . Sounds like she's inherited your craftiness!

Sally-glad your mouth is doing ok. Hope Q has a good meet!!!!

Stephie-hope you can get the puter problems ironed out, things like that are such a PAIN aren't they?! I hear you on the trashed house, my problem is I can't seem to get motivated beyond cleaning kitchen and living room LOL.

Hey ladies!

Just checking in before I head off to bed....its too late!! 1115pm! I never checked in today, I had a bunch of running around to do and we went to my inlaws for dinner, when I got home and put the baby down I was working on a calendar for my mom's bday at Artscow...finally finished it and went back to Amanda's challenges. I have had the best time this week with her spotlight. Amanda really is one of my absolute favs!!! Hope everyone had a great day! talk to you all tomorrow!

Hey all!

Class went o.k. The student ignored us and didn't stay to go over her status, so we have to file a conference of concern for her. It's amazing to me that someone can act like this. She didn't even turn in her assignment for Friday. I just am perplexed by the whole thing.

It's snowing and sleeting here today, so it'll be interesting to see how much work I can get accomplished when I finally get my butt in gear. =)

morning girlies!!!!! I'm at the hampton inn in hurst, tx and hangin for a while before we go off to Quentin's meet. I'm excited about this meet. This is what we've been going for all season, so I'm thinkng he should enjoy this one the most! I hope so!!

I got a LO done last night...my last for Amanda's spotlight challenge! I love it the most!!!! And I'm going to do a quick QP of Sue's right now. I've got 50 minutes before we leave, so I'll be sure to get it done, right??? LOL!!!

It snowed all day here yesterday and into the night. High winds and lots of snow! The interstate is closed from Sioux Falls all the way to Wall! This morning it is beautiful out there, lots of thick heavy snow on all the branches.

Chris - the event sounds fabulous! Congrats to Cait on her huge success!
Merkee - so sorry to hear about your back! I can totally relate, Mr. Wonderful has broken his back TWICE in car accidents and each day is pain for him
Linda - hope the ACT went great! Many of ours were postponed yesterday due to the weather. My girls took the test five times between the two of them! It paid off HUGE for them tho!
Kat - hope your houselhold is healthy again soon! We've got the crud continually going around at school
Sally - good luck to Q in his meet! Glad your mouth is not giving you fits!
Steph - I'm on my way to check out your blog. Mine needs a facelift too!
ME - I'm coming to see you in May! One of my students won an essay contest through the dept of ag so we'll be in DC May 6-10. What kind of weather can we expect then?

I just thought I'd pop in and say my first hello before I head to bed. It's 3am Monday morning here, having a bit of pregnancy insomnia, but the gigantic glass of milk is starting to kick in. Going to have my hair done today (yay!) and see the obstetrician. Having so much fun here since I joined last weekend- thanks for being so welcoming!
LindPete- I'd love to see snow like that one day. Not so much in Sydney.

So we are sitting here in Iowa watching the snow coming down hard! Lots of rain this morning...and now it has turned to snow! So it's a lazy day at our house...I got groceries last night and we're totally good to go! Kids are watching Horton Hears a Who and I might get another layout scrapped for Amanda's Challenge.

I wanted to write and say hi but I have t he worst headache ever, so it will be amazingly quick...well for me, anyway. So I saw the ENT last week and he said my headaches are not sinus related, but I still think they are. What do doctors know?? Hahaha!! It is about time for Addie's nap, which means I should take one too. My dh left my house absolutely trashed while scrambling to get packed for his trip. He left a bunch of stuff, although none of it important. He just saved everything until the last minute, then worried too much about the little stuff. He didn't start packing until the night before he left at 7pm. Oh well. I'm just irritated that my house is trashed. Lots of work to do this week.

I did got to my parents' house last night. That was nice, I got to sleep in. Can't beat that, ya know?? Well, I am off for naptime. I'll chat later.
