Happy Wednesday!
Gary and I both slept much better last night, whew! The kids, not so much, both are so exhausted. It really seems cruel to have to get them off to school so early. But what can you do? They go to bed around 10 but neither seem to get restful sleep.

I am so excited to go down the Shore today! One last day to soak in some sun and ocean breeze. I love the smell of the salt water, love it! (Can you tell I am slightly excited?? Hehe!)

Not much else going on here. Always a good, good thing!

I wish I had lots of money so I could buy a house down the shore and go whenever I want.
I wish my house and laundry would clean itself while I am gone ;)
I want to figure out why I am still getting these tremors and heart palpitations and make them STOP!

Lots of hugs and happy thoughts to you all!

Laurie-- ahhhhh! I am have my Challenge LO's to post too. Thanks for reminding me. Hope that you had a nice day after work. I hope that we don't have to use our generator and I hope that you have no need to wish that you need one.

Clara- I hope that this ridiculous shutdown ends soon. Last time there was something like this going on, Tanny Duckworth (hero of mine!) did that. Unfortunately the majority of the people giving up their salary would not even notice the $174,000/year gone. Ugh.
I really hope that this doesn't affect you nor the rest of the military. These things tend to hurt the regular person way more than the rich that seem to run the country.
One a better note (and I am saying this non-politically, but personally), I tried to sign up on the NJ Health Exchange yesterday, and it was so busy that I couldn't get through. That is a really good sign and I hope that these work because I am one of the "leeches on society" who really *needs* this.
I think I missed it, but when do you get to go back home? Any chance you guys will move back/get re-stationed there again soon?
Yay for date nights and b-fasts!!!!!

Trudy- hoping that today is a day with much last pain and spasms. If you are feeling better today-- do NOT overdo it!!! (BTDT haha!)
How are things with Heather, settling down with her man? I hope so.

Phyllis- he wasn't sure what triggered the vomiting-- probably a combo of the constant nausea he has, plus the sugar and he also has chronic pneumonia that seems to get worse every time the weather changes so he has been coughing his head off. I honeslty don't know how he gets through some days..... Hopefully knowing how much the kids and I love him will keep him going.
Wooly Worms-- that sounds so gross!!! Wooly Bears is so much cuter. I love the story of your equivocal worm-- sounds like a true weather forecaster for sure. Hope your itunes transfers/Windows 8 issues are getting easier.

Good to know that about chriro's-- I have always heard that too. Cait wants/needs to see one and I have been hesitant to make an appt.
Thanks for the advice.

good morning hockey is back and I am so happy. Dentist visit was good and my smile is brighter today. Then went and did a few errands. Got ink to start printing out my pages and I also uploaded them to shutter fly just to make sure they are saved somewhere besides my computer. Got some food. Truthfully I got snacks as it was the start of hockey and I wanted snacks. LOL. Got in a really nice walk. This weather will not be here for long. Today should be mid 80s and my girlfriend might not walk as it will be too hot for her LOL.

Chris enjoy the beach! I think kids are always tired in school. They do not ever get enough sleep.

Laurie enjoy your quiet time and tomorrow's day off!

Phylis I dont know if I know what a wooly worm or wooly bear even looks like.

Trudy good luck with the chiropractor. I hope the the pain subsides soon

Clara sure hoping that this shut down does not last long.

Have a great day!

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning. Another exciting day in the OR. Today I am working on a vascular case which means they will put x-ray contrast through their veins and watch it go through. It's pretty cool to see. Of course I am working with a student today and he wants to see gory stuff but there just isn't much going on this week. We do a lot of ankle, knee and foot surgeries since most of the military is airborne and jumping out of planes like they do is very hard on their bodies and there are a lot of injuries. They don't jump from planes like skydivers...they come in very low to the ground and fast...so a lot of bad landings. Which means a lot of xrays and a lot of surgeries. The hospital keeps track of the jump schedule and will put up signs on big jump days saying that wait times will be longer due to training injuries.

So...the shutdown. Fortunately for me it will affect me very little. I am considered essential personnel...BUT...if I miss a day for sick or vacation that day will go into furlough status and I won't get paid. The hospital had minimal furloughs, but there definitely were some. The cafeteria will be shut down. It was open yesterday but today it will only be open for inpatients...half of logistics were sent home. I heard that 45% of the civilian government employees were sent home yesterday. Of course we're supposed to be thankful we have a job...but if we don't get paid, I'm not sure how thankful I can be. I guess if people don't get paid they won't get a bigger check later...they will take that money and distribute it into many checks. Hopefully it all ends soon. Losing one day a week over the summer was stressful for a lot of people and we had notice for that. It just sucks.

My husband got a deer last weekend so we had that for dinner last night. It's the best venison I've had. I don't usually like it but it was pretty good. Ethan was fighting over the last piece.

Chris - I'm glad you got some sleep...that stinks about the kids though. I hate it when my kids are all tired like that. They are just so miserable. I hope your beach time is fun. I love the Oregon coast...the salt water, the sounds, all of it. I haven't found a beach on the east coast I love yet. It's always really busy and I get turned around because the sun goes the other direction. Very confusing for a West Coaster at an East coast beach. As far as going back home...in 2-3 years we'll get to go back. I don't see them sending us anywhere until Derek gets out of the Army, especially with the budget cuts. I'll be going home for a week around Veterans Day.

Laurie - How's the basement coming? It is nice to go through things and get organized. I love your glasses too. Anything planned for your day off tomorrow?

Nancy - YOu reminded me I need to schedule a trip to the dentist. I need to find a new one. I haven't seen anyone in NC yet. I would just go see my dentist back home whenever I was home for a visit. But he isn't covered on my plan so it was spendy. I hope you get out in the nice weather for your walk and it doesn't get too warm.

WWW for Wednesday...
I wish there were more hours in the day.
I wish the OR were not sub-zero. I think I might get frostbite.
I want to go home and take a nap.

Morning ladies... surprise, surprise its :rain: here again today! It probably won't stop now until May LOL. Oh well its better than :smow: right?? Mount Washington and Whistler Mountain are already getting the white stuff and gearing up for another amazing ski season. Hope it stays up there on the Mountain and not down here this year!! Off the the bone crusher in a couple of hours, so hope he can put things right again for me. The pain is not as bad this morning, but I know that my whole body is out of alignment, my one leg even feels like its shorter than the other ???? WTH!!! Really have to get busy with leaving love in the gallery, I have been a pain ridden cheeryO lately and have slacked off on my duties!!

Chris - Seems to me that teenagers need to get about 20 hrs of sleep before they feel like they have had enough!!! LOL Hope your two are bright eyed and busy tailed by the lunch hour. Nice that you and Gary both had a good night!! It sure helps when you can get in the ZZZZZ's  it gives you a whole new outlook on life!! Have a great time at the shore!! Awwwwhhhhh the smell of the Ocean breeze, there is nothing else like it!! Enjoy my friend, you deserve it!!!!!

Laurie - So nice that you have tomorrow off of work!! I hope you find the time to get the fun things done tomorrow!! Enjoy!

Nancy - I can just see you sitting in front of your tv with a big bag full of snacks!! Watching your hockey games, do you wear a Jersey when your Devils play?? My MG does when his Bruins do. Even if its cooking hot outside, he sweats buckets, but still has to have his Jersey on :becky: Glad that the dentist appt was good, always nice to have that just polished feel to your choppers!! :brushteeth:

Phylis - I will tell my Chiropractor that I have a no nagging clause!! LOL

Clara - Glad that this silliness with the Govt. won't affect you too much!! Have fun with your student today! My son got his first deer of the season yesterday, I am not a great fan of deer meat, our little deer here on the Island are very gamey yuck!!!! But the prairies had nice grain fed mule deer and they were ok.

Ok better hit the shower and get some breakfast, wish me luck at the Chiropractor !
