GooOd mOrning/afternoon/evening!
Early and dark out here for me. :tea: :tea: :tea:

So not liking the cold weather. It was just so cold and damp and just plain old icky yesterday. It wasn't even raining, just blech. I know, I know. You have heard me grumble about this every fall/winter..... and you will sadly have to hear it again. :sorry:

I figured out what i think I might like for a Christmas present. My mom and I were in NJ's yesterday and they had out those fake electric fireplaces. The one I liked was small.o bigger than a space heater, and it had the fake flames and could heat up to 1000 sq feet. I miss the wood stove we had before we put the addition on and I hate being cold. Gary will probably get the most use of it since it will go in the living room where he hangs out most of the time. But maybe it will save a bit on the oil bill since he keeps turning the heat up and up and up. We'd be able to turn the thermostat down and just keep the LR warm for him. Maybe?? I just want a fireplace :)

OTOH, it kind of stinks to get that as a present for me, but WTH else do I need? *shrugs*
Caitlyn found out that we have the same size foot and we had been joking about getting a pair of Doc Martens to share but my mom hated that idea, that I shouldn't have to share a gift with Cait. I'd be sharing the fireplace too-- but I guess shoes are different to her? Who knows?LOL

I am all set to get my hair done today! wheeeeee! I am looking fwd to seeing Gary's cousin too. And her little one!

So enough babbling from me-- better get rolling along....

I want everyone in my life, both "real" and cyber, to know how much I appreciate them. I am really and truly blessed to have so many people help me in so many ways!
I wish that everyone was lucky enough to have the same. I hate hearing how my kids friends hate their parents or I see that people are alone and lost.

Morning O fam- Chris have a fantastic day. I know you love having your hair done! Day 3 work out done. Now tomorrow is my day off so there are no excuses. Today a busy work day, although we have had multiple cancels due to illness lately so who knows what the day will bring. I am ready.

Laurie-- how did the muscles feel yesterday? And woot on wanting a swirly dress! You can do it, I know you can!

Phyllis- I agree about kids keeping their inner child. I think that was one of the reasons I loved being a PreK teacher, that "kid" hasn't never really left me. I hope the same for my kids.
You all should have seen me last week playing on the floor with Christopher. The party was at a firehouse and the two of us were crawling around on the floor crashing toy trucks and chasing each other-- so much fun!
Cait's therapist told me yesterday what a rarity it is for Cait and I to have such a good, supportive relationship. She specializes in counseling teen girls so I guess she sees a lot of the other side. That made me feel good. :)

Ugh about the BCBS letter. Gary's Medicare HMO is dropping him too. :(
The flip side of that is that the plans that are getting dropping are mostly plans that do not meet the minimum levels of coverage from the ACA. Hopefully she will be able to get a better coverage plan for the same or less if she can get the subsidies.

My ACA/healthcare.gov has still been glitching out on me. I was able to get my app all completeling and I amelegible, but the page to click to shop doesn't have a button to get to the actual plans. I have been speaking to rep's who say that the site should be working soon, time TBD..... Or I could re-apply over the phone. I think I will wait and see if it gets fixed in the next few weeks beofre I got through all of that again. The good news is that if I go to the Learn More section, there are several plans available that are waaaaay better than what I have now for the same price I am paying. I can possibly get a Platinum Plan for the amount I spent now for a Basic And Essential Plan -- what would be Bronze on the Marketplace.

Ack! Soooo late! BBS!

Chris, DD's plan is great as it is. i stopped over at the BCBS office yesterday, and it looks like what her options will be are either way higher premiums or WAAAY higher deductables. so, not so good for her. but the specifics won't be available until the dust settles from this chaos. good luck.

Laurie, should i hope that you have a lot of cancellations so you have an easy day? :becky: well, here's hoping you have the sort of day you want!

whoa, is my back ever screwed up. i drove into the city for my gynie apt., and the parking lot attendant had to help me get out of the car!! how embarrassing.... i think it might be a trip to an orthopedic guy for me. enough of this, already!! it's cramping my style. :hurt:

well, ok. time to get Wednesday started. :behindsofa:

good morning - my Devils have now won 2 games in a row. Patrick Elias is my favorite Devil and he played in his 1100 game. Well I was going to ask my Dil if I could sit down by her to get a close up photo of Elias well turns out she asked me first if Zach and I wanted to sit down in her seats as she got to be in a suite for season ticket holders. How cool was that. It was a great game. My DIL's brother came down to tell me that one of my scratched players Jacob Josefson was on the concourse and I got my photo with him. Because the game did not start until 7:30 (it was a national TV broadcast) it did not end in time for me to get my regular train so I had to wait another hour but I bought myself a hot chocolate so that made it sweet. Got in a lot of walking so that was good. And I am catching up on my weekly photo pages.

Chris such good news about your son. Your fireplace sounds good. I have my own space heater and that does let me keep the rest of my house cooler.

Phylis so sorry about your back. That is not good at all.

Laurie so glad your work outs are going well.

Trudy hope you had some time to scrap!

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... No scrapping for me yesterday :pout: my day got all screwed up with having to run all over town to get hubby his halloween stuff!!! Oh how I hate Walmart!!!! You should have seen the line ups at the till! I did save quite a bit on the candy for Halloween and picked up a few new decorations, but oh my gosh it was busy!! Ugghhh!! So I spent the better part of the day getting mouse ears made, it was kinda fun and I only burned my fingers a couple of times with the glue gun :becky: I know we used to have a set of Mickey Mouse Ears around the house a long time ago, but maybe Heather took them with her??? They were very uncomfortable though, probably made for much smaller sized heads LOL.

Chris - I think you would like the electric fireplace, we have one in the kitchen, because there are so many windows it gets very chilly in there in the winter and it really helps to warm it up!! Plus it looks really pretty too! Not sure what it would be like for your electric bill, but I think the new ones are much more effiecient these days !

Laurie - Hope you have an easy day at work! Are your muscles sore from your workout? Can't wait to see your Royal Blue Dress, I bet you are a stunner in it!!

Phylis - Ughhh I feel your pain!! You poor thing, there is nothing worse then horrible back pain!! Hope your gyno appt went ok, if there is such a thing as an ok gyno appt?? :becky:
Get to the dr. and find out what the heck is going on with your back! Hopefully you have a good Wednesday

Nancy - Woot your Devils are on a roll! How nice of your DIL to offer you her seat! Bet you got some great pics!! I see more scrapping in your future :becky: I seem to be in another slump with the scrapping, I have to get my photo stash out and get busy!!

Nothing exciting happening today, except a visit to the Dentist this afternoon for a cleaning and I definately do not find that exciting!!! :mmph: Try to find something wonderful to do today

Urp... it's 10:30pm here! I'm trying to kill time while I wait to move over the laundry to go to sleep.

Chris -- I was thinking I'd love the same thing today!!!! Hopefully when we move in the spring, we'll have our own wood stove... but I totally was dreaming about one of those electric fireplaces this morning! I say go for it, you can find some nice ones for almost nothing depending on where you get it. There used to be an "amish" made one for $110 that was advertised in Parade Magazine or something.

Laurie - I hope you were ready to tackle the day! And that you got your rest!!!

Phylis - Oh no!!! I hope you get your back taken care of soon, back pain is the worst!

Nancy - wow! sounds like you had an awesome time at the game!

Trudy - I totally feel your pain!!! I refuse to go to Walmart, especially during "holiday" times! Glad you were able to make up for it with the fun project :)

.... Soo I'm stressing! I'm having a hard time getting into the "iDSD Spirit" because of so much drama going on in my non-digiscrap life. Long story short, there's a woman with one of the organizations I'm a volunteer for, who has a personal vendetta against me all of the sudden... she hates that I'm a "newbie" and have more responsibilities than her (because I'm reliable!! I actually didn't want any responsibilities) It's really affecting my grandparents, who were volunteers before me, enough that my grandma's shingles and vertigo are back, and the doctor warned her another flare up could cause her cochlea to get damaged = hearing loss. That totally breaks my heart, because I hate to see them affected by this woman's rage against me... and some of you know how sensitive my grandpa is. I'm most likely going to get cornered by the woman again tomorrow, so I'm praying I hold my tongue and don't let her push my buttons. I don't want my grandpa going home and reporting to my grandma about another incident :( Our board meeting isn't until Monday... which is stressing us all out even more because we have to wait!

BUT! OMG GUINEA PIG CUTENESSSSSSSS!!! I cleaned their cage today and gave them baths. Since it's winter weather now, I introduced them to their piggy sleeping bags again... which they're a bit too fat for, but they still manage!

Guinea pigs cure all the blues, right??!!
