Good morning, Ladies! :wavinghello:

As I have already said with Chris, I would like to visit you more often to learn, understand and be happy with you, but also sad if necessary. Above all, I would like to exchange ideas with you and quickly ask a general question.

Most of you will still be asleep, and I am also still tired after a long night in front of the TV. If I interpret this correctly - and that is also my understanding - there is no discussion about any :dancingelephant: in the room - and that's a good thing!

Tracy used a few abbreviations in a comment recently that I couldn't make sense of, so I need to ask about them. I hope everyone here in the break room is doing well.

Now I'm going to read up again and see what's new with you. The fact that you have such a nice November weather-wise is enviable, but also unusual, isn't it? Here in Germany it will now be foggy, gray and uncomfortable. So adapted to the usual November. I'd love to come back more often.

Have a nice day, I'm waiting for the postman to bring me a package of nail polish. I'm crazy about the green color - maybe I'll wear several colors

By the way, Chris - is it okay if I, as an early riser, start the thread or do you want to do that in principle?

Good morning SuSanne! Of course, you can start these threads :)
In fact, I am glad you did today, I have a lot of stuff on my mind and I didn't sleep well again. And that isn't even counting the elephant in the room.
A quick run down and good thought requests:
BFF's MRI came back showing "more" of something so she is scheduled for another mammo and ultrasound. Her surgery date for next Wed is still on the books but this might throw it off completely. She isn't taking the news that well (understandably!) and I am worried.
My mom is having a procedure test today to examine the blockages in her carotid arteries. In a normal person., it's not a big deal but the stuff they use for contrast can affect the kidneys, Since she has chronic kidney failure, they need to keep her most of the day to monitor her kidney function and provide IV hydration.
On a much lesser scale - As of right now, only two kids signed up for the Thursday session so that might get canceled which means fewer hours and less $
Tom contacted the tattoo shop to ask what time they wanted him to come in and they never got back to him.
Meanwhile-- it was 70* yesterday and the activities I had planned with the kids were challenging because the ground is incredibly dry. It is hard to find isopods, worms, and other decomposers when there is so little moisture. The earth is cooking and that is difficult to watch.

So Faery is gonna plaster a smile on her face and get on with her day

Good morning @Su_Sanne and welcome. That green nail polish is very pretty I also like the red one. The colors are so deep and rich. We lived in Bad Windsheim Germany and on base at Illesheim from 1973- 1976. Our son Mike was born in Nuremburg Army Hospital. So when I see someone from Germany I am always interested. I hope you make some pages with the local scenery so I can have a virtual trip back there.

I'm so glad the election is over now all the political comments can stop and the signs can come down.

@Cherylndesigns Wow I'm glad you are safe but so sad for anyone who had damage from those tornado's. Do you have them in your area often?

@AK_Tracy I'm anxious to hear your report and hope it is what you need.

@taxed4ever My mom the professional gardener used to say about storm damage it was "Mother Natures pruning". If you ask me she had a busy year...there was allot of damage here from our back to back hurricanes and sounds like you had alot over there too..

@Terri M I hope the roof job next to you is done it is annoying but will look nice when done. I feel for you sister we had 12" during the hurricane so the ground was so saturated trees uprooted easy in the wind.

We had a great salmon dinner with our friend last night and there is a little left so salmon and eggs are on the menu this morning. I'm getting a haircut today then over to the club we were gifted some plants to put in front so going to analyze that situation. Then birthday lunch for one of the ladies--10 of us going for Chinese her favorite place---yummy. Got to wrap her gift still. I'm driving of course! but someone else will have to because the van only holds 7.

@faerywings Not sleeping well is hard so I hope it's an easy day. Good luck to your BFF and hope she can come to terms with the treatments, etc. So sorry your mom has those issues, it's hard to watch. I hope today is better for you.

I hope you all have a wonderful day.

It was another dry-as-a-bone day here in NJ. But--- *fingers and toes crossed* -- there is a chance of showers this Saturday.
And that is now gone-- the next chance of rain is Nov 15.

@BrightEyes glad that you are sleeping better. That sounds weird to me that you don't get fog in your area. :p
Smart to have waited until it burned off before you ran your errands.

@Terri M Oh wow, 9" of rain for your sister... Wouldn't you love to get some of that-- just a few inches would be nice.
Is she experiencing any flooding where she is? Hope not.
Yesterday I had a 4:00-5:30 meeting which ended in the dark. I want daylight saving time back!
Same here! I had to run back into the woods after the HS session ended to get the trowels we were using and the kids didn't pack back up. I had to keep an eye on the time and be on my way out before 4.30 since I didn't have any of my regular hiking stuff with me. I brought a bear horn but not a flashlight. Because I was wearing a T-shirt, it didn't occur to me that it would get dark that soon. Everything outdoors is "off."
Worse rocky trail I ever hiked was in the Delaware Water Gap,
I haven't hiked any of the AT but one park I hike connects to it so it's mostly the same bedrock, just a lower elevation. Yesterday's "run back and grab trowels" hike was tricky because the "fluffy" leaves hid all of the rocks underfoot.

Our son is going to be here on the 12th and is staying for a few days, so I would like to have something nice and new on that bed for him. We are very excited to have him to ourselves for a bit!! :dancing6:. Not much else going on here, hoping the weather holds out for my hike tomorrow!
Yay!!! That is very exciting! How is the weather, hope you can get on the hike today!
I don't have heated gloves but Scott got me a heated vest for my birthday. I haven't needed it yet but I'm sure it will be wonderful when (if???) it gets cold and snowy.
LMK what gloves you get at Costco if you buy them!
Yes, this is it exactly. I have to fail yet I feel compelled to try. But if I do super great I wont get the surgeries I need. Its a catch 22. But I feel down a spoon and as long as I talk about how it hurts and what aches as I do each thing it will help show that I cant do it without pain and discomfort. We shall see.
How did it go? I'm sorry you were a spoon down but I guess if you had to be that way, it was an appropriate day to feel that.

"@Cherylndesigns - is Chris Arts's code in the CO forum? I wanted to use one of her kits for the artist challenge but since our regular Code didn't work, I used my stash. Chris @faerywings yes, it is. Cheery-O Chat. "
Thanks!!!
Happy belated birthday to Cam!
Hope that the weather calms down by you too.

Is anyone experiencing normal weather? Like it is just a typical November day?

@vickyday hope that Marks dr visit went well!

OMG, I love that photo of Dasiy! What a cutie!

@faerywings That sounds stressful and I can understand that you are worried. You can't downplay such news. It sneezes into your brain, especially on gloomy November days, and makes it difficult for you to start the day in a good mood. When I have times like that, I too hide away and watch a long-winded teen series for days... Dawson's Creek tells a little about me and my first love. Just like in the film, we are still friends. And I often have to smile when I remember similar situations. But not everyone can hide away like that. There is family, a job and daily life that needs you to function. I just hope that the good news and thoughts will come again soon and that you will find your footing again. :heartpumppink:

@BoatLady
I'm very happy to have found someone again who has already been to Germany or even lived there. I really hope you have been able to take away a positive impression of our country and the people. Nuremberg is also a charming old town famous for its large Christmas market. We live in Lower Saxony, not quite as attractive due to the lack of water and mountains nearby, but you appreciate it when you see how the weather changes turn rivers into raging torrents, leaving only death and devastation in their wake, like in your country after hurricanes. Glad you're here! :dancingbfly:

@Su_Sanne Yes we went to the christkindlesmarkt several times. I have many decorations on my Christmas tree that we got there. Our area was not particularly pretty but we were near Rothenburg which we really like. I am not familiar with your area at all so I look forward to seeing some of your pages one day.

Good Morning ladies... It is not raining but there is a low lying haze over the mountain tops. Hope that burns off before my hike today. I am surprised that after all that wind we have had the leaves are still on some of the trees and there is still beautiful fall colours to look at. I got the leaf blower out yesterday and cleaned off the decks and the walkway around the the side and back of the house, there was a lot of debris, but the branches and other larger stuff on the lawns will have to wait until it is a bit drier out there. More rain in the forecast for Friday and the weekend, so yup it is a typical November for us here on the West Coast and that is ok with me!! Our hike today is to the Beautiful Stoney Hill Regional Park which is just up the road from me about a 10 min drive. It will be good to see my hiking group again, its been way too long since I have hiked and I miss the social part of my hikes too! I got another calendar page almost finished yesterday and hope to work on more tomorrow, as I don't have much else to do. My DH will be marching in the Remembrance Day parade on the 11th and of course they are calling for a rainy day for that too. I guess I better get a move on and get my backpack ready to go. I hope you all have a lovely Wednesday!!

As I have already said with Chris, I would like to visit you more often to learn, understand and be happy with you, but also sad if necessary. Above all, I would like to exchange ideas with you and quickly ask a general question.
Good Morning @Su_Sanne and how nice to see you here again! We are happy to help you with any questions that you may have of course!! We are having a typical November also here, grey and wet, but the colours are still very beautiful and after all we live in a rainforest, so its supposed to wet. Thats why the trees grow so big out here LOL. Oh and BTW I love the colours of the nail polish!!

Sending lots of good thought to your BFF and to your Mother and to you also Chris!! It is very stressful for everyone and now that dam elephant :dancingelephant:in the room too!! WTH!!!! I don't know what else to say??!! Hope that your Thursday session does not get cancelled!

Salmon and eggs for breakfast??? Yuck I hate salmon!! I know that being a West Coast Island girl I should love the stuff, but I have never like it, its too fishy smelling and strong tasting for me. But I am happy that you are enjoying it and that you are having such a great time with your friends! Have a wonderful time at the birthday lunch today, thats a big group! Enjoy!!
Thank you all so much for your prayers, good vibes, and hugs. This will be a long painful journey, one foot in front of the other and Faith is what I'm focusing on now. I love you all.
Jeanne I am so sorry you are having to deal with this! Sending you all the good vibes and gentle hugs that I can of course :hug2:

Ok off to get my backpack ready, hope that everyone tackles this day with a smile on their face! :waving3:

Three meetings today but I'm going to skip the last one this evening, just too much going on. I'm supposed to be retired!

I've been working on some of the monthly challenges. Wondering if it's worth my time, since I have so many pages of vacation photos I need to get out, I've promised, and the challenges don't take me any less time than my own pages. Although sometimes I can double-dip and use my own planned page for a challenge. On the other hand, I almost always learn something and/or improve my pages with the challenges, and that's worth more to me than the coupon.

Is anyone experiencing normal weather? Like it is just a typical November day?
Not me. I opened the door to the deck this morning and said It feels like Florida. Warm and humid at 7am in November is not right.

So Faery is gonna plaster a smile on her face and get on with her day
So sorry there's so much to deal with. Keep on.

just a few inches would be nice.
Is she experiencing any flooding where she is? Hope not.
There must be floods in her area because they've told everyone to stay off the roads unless necessary, but she's not affected other than the perennially wet spot in the basement.

Off to get dinner started so we can actually eat when I get home later.

Good morning Beautiful O Family!
How is everyone this fine Wednesday? Just a warning, I went quote crazy this morning. Guess that first cup of coffee kicked my brain in high gear. But I do need the second cup or it wont stay that way :giggle4:

Tracy used a few abbreviations in a comment recently that I couldn't make sense of, so I need to ask about them. I hope everyone here in the break room is doing well.
Hello Susanne! So happy to see you here. Please ask away about the abbreviations. There are many that I sometimes think hmmmm what? I am sure its even more confusing being from different. countries and we dont always use the same phrases. Germany is on my hubs and I'd bucket list.
Have a nice day, I'm waiting for the postman to bring me a package of nail polish. I'm crazy about the green color - maybe I'll wear several colors

That's how I feel most days!!! The photo is so relatable. I am sorry that you are stressed and your poor friend. I would be a wreck too.

@AK_Tracy I'm anxious to hear your report and hope it is what you need.
It went............ well, yeah it went :floorlaugh: I am "poor" on most things. Somethings were stupid. But I failed the test and that is what I needed to show insurance so they can see surgery would be beneficial. I just didn't know it would be so bad. Walk on the treadmill for 20 minutes. Okay not a big deal (except I haven't for 4 months) My hips and left knee were killing me 10 minutes in. I almost stopped but I didn't. Its so annoying. 20 minutes use to be a mile and this time it was 3/4 a mile. Then sit up crunches, yeah thats never been fun. I couldn't do enough. Stair steps on a 12" rise. Keep to the metronome beat. Stairs are super hard for me. I had to keep stopping and resting. It was just 5 minutes of up down up down but oh man. Grab a 20 lb weight in each hand and walk around for 5 minutes like youre carrying a child or groceries. 1 minute 58 seconds later I set that 40 lbs down and said the child could walk and I have teens to carry the heavy groceries. :giggle4: However, I can over achieve on the balance on one foot. Thank you ice skating and helping me to balance while standing still :floorlaugh: The only thing I blew out of the water was one foot standing. I wobbled on my right leg but I could hold it over a minute and a half on both sides. So I failed spectacularly which was good but I did try and that was hard cause I didn't expect to be poor! I expected below average. SO next step is to submit the papers to surgeon and he will finalize and send to insurance.
Salmon and eggs for breakfast??? Yuck I hate salmon!! I know that being a West Coast Island girl I should love the stuff, but I have never like it, its too fishy smelling and strong tasting for me.
YES! 1000% agree!!! Just cause I live near the fish and love to fish doesn't mean I want to eat it!!!!! Its fishy!!!!! Hubby eats it. I dont waste it, I just dont eat it.

Must get more coffee. Have a wonderful day!!!

Morning, all. Had my plans all set to head for the base to pick up my meds and go to the commissary around noon. Well, that got cancelled big time.... it is snowing.... It went from a few tiny flakes to to large flakes in 15 minutes and lots of them falling! Can't see the mountain now .... the Air Force base is near the base of the mountain so it is getting more than we are. Just checked and the whole area is under a Winter Storm Warning now - forecast for 5" of snow in the next 4 hours. The snow storms are expected to last until late Friday/early Saturday. With Veteran's Day holiday on Monday and my gal's Brown Bag luncheon on Tuesday, looks like it will be Wednesday before I can get over to pick up the meds. Have to pick them up by Friday 16th as that is the 10 days from ready date. I have the electrician scheduled to come at 8AM on Friday... that may get cancelled is the snow is bad.

Glad I made it to library yesterday and picked up 8 books. Already read 1 and halfway through another one. I am going to hunker down at home and wait until the storms end and the roads are clear.

DD is calling. BBL

Kay, would you please kindly send me back my winter weather? :giggle4: We're 36* and climbing. Yesterday was 42*. Its gross with melting snow slush that then freezes overnight and starts the pattern all over again come morning. Slick side streets. This feels like April weather.

Snow.... no snow... Snow.... no snow!!! o_O Not snowing now and streets here are wet but no snow accumulation yet. But the noon forecast says it will be snowing soon. No way am I going to take chances trying to go to the base. I did make it to the neighborhood mailboxes and drop off a bill. Made it there before the mailman did his mail delivery. :yesss: I live on the West Mesa which is 150' higher than down in Albuquerque so we usually get more snow than there. So no telling how much we will actually get.

Good evening all,

I've been busy today - first of all, was the Wednesday Color Play blog. I was not in the mood to work on it last night, so I had to do it today. I'm SO happy that so many of you are adding your CP layouts to the monthly thread. It gives me lots of choices. There won't be a CP for November or December, so I added several more layouts to my blog post today. I'll be posting the blog for the whole month, so keep them coming. (for this month).

Anyway, it was my own fault, but that put me behind. Then I got motivated to clean up the kitchen. Got that done and then it was time to get ready to go to the nail salon. All I got was a pedi, and Adrienne got a fill. She was done before me, for a change. So, I just got home.

Susanne @Su_Sanne good to see you in here - I remember "way back when" we were trying to help you understand all of our "American lingo". LOL Good times and glad you're back with us.

"Happy belated birthday to Cam!
Hope that the weather calms down by you too.

Is anyone experiencing normal weather? Like it is just a typical November day?"

Thanks, Chris - I can't believe how old my grands are getting!! He's 28 now - my "Little Cammie". The weather was pretty scary the other night, but it blew over us. Yes, our weather is pretty normal for us.

I'll keep your BFF in my thoughts and I'm sending vibes that you know what to help her with. Your mom, too - I'm sure she's not happy that she has to stay in the hospital. Poor thing - one more item to add to your worry list.

"@Cherylndesigns Wow I'm glad you are safe but so sad for anyone who had damage from those tornado's. Do you have them in your area often?" Thanks, Debby. Yes, some around us weren't so lucky. My heart always goes out to them. I always hear the sirens screaming whenever we have a lot of lightening and I always cringe.

Waving to Tracy @AK_Tracy Vicky @vickyday Kay @BrightEyes Jeanne @JeanneMN - I hope I haven't forgotten anyone - oh, Amy @mimes1 and Terri @Terri M - hugs and love to all of you. I'm working my way back to doing personals - oh geeze, I forgot Trudy @taxed.

XOXO
We're supposed to hit 80 tomorrow!
