I am not adjusting to the time change as well as I thought I was yesterday. Although I'm doing better than my dogs who don't understand why they aren't getting breakfast at 6 am LOL The last two nights, I have woken up at 3.30 am instead of 4.30 am. If anything thinks that might be fun-- it is *not!* My idea of living on the edge is getting a nice, solid 7 hours of sleep.
It was another dry-as-a-bone day here in NJ. But--- *fingers and toes crossed* -- there is a chance of showers this Saturday. Please let that happen.
Yesterday afternoon, I spent some time outside, raking leaves and sweeping them off the patio. Everything is so dry they won't stay in one place. I usually rake them into the backyard or side yard into the woods. *Usually* the rain will pack them down and the majority stay put. It was pretty warm out there when the sun was out. When I went for a walk with my friend before dinner, the clouds and wind made it feel much colder. I wasn't prepared for that change but I better get used to it. One thing I have to do- and soon- is get my gloves and cold-weather gear ready for work. I've been able to ignore it so far. 70* today and tomorrow. In November. Eeep.
Today is the new HS session and I have 5 kids signed up for Tuesdays. No one has signed up for Thursday yet but I am pretty sure that one family will sign up. Either way, I am about as ready to go as I can be.
I am excited for dinner tonight- Tom is cooking vegan Philly cheesesteaks and they are so darn yummy. I made a vegan chorizo garlic cream pasta last night that was also really good. Gary has been cracking me up, he has been pleasantly surprised at how good all of the vegan meals have been. He made vegan penne and vodka the other night and said it was just as good as his "real" recipe.
Good thought request for Tom--
He is meeting with a local tattoo shop owner to see if he could get some hours there. The place he has been at is an hour from here and doesn't always give him the opportunity to expand his reach. This shop also doesn't have a piercer so maybe they would want him for that too. Thanks for any good thoughts you have
Wishing all of you a wonderful, peaceful, and calm day ahead. (yes, I am 100% ignoring the elephant in the room
)
Hugs!!

I appreciate it. And nope, I don't want to think what Eva could do with a ketchup-shaped button.
What a productive weekend! You are on a roll! I hope the weather is dry for your hike tomorrow.
Got my coffee and looked out the window to see... nothing .....
,,,,, dense fog!!! I can barely see the houses across the street!! We have lived here for 24 years and have only had fog maybe 2-3 times. It is suppose to fade away around 9 or 10 this morning. I was used to fog when we lived in the San Diego area and Corpus Christi. I will wait until it burns off to run my errands..... and I have a bunch to do. Hope my stamina holds up to getting them all done.
. It looks like Mother Nature threw up all over the place
. We are going to have a lot of cleaning up to do when it dries up back there. I got another Calendar page done yesterday afternoon and got to get out for a walk in the sunshine at around 3pm when the wind finally settled down a bit. The wind storm did a lot of damage on the Mainland, trees falling all over the place onto rooftops and cars parked on the street, it is sad to see those giant trees being uprooted like that! It should be a nice quiet day here and I hope to pop out a couple of local stores to see if I can find a new duvet cover for the spare bedroom. Our son is going to be here on the 12th and is staying for a few days, so I would like to have something nice and new on that bed for him. We are very excited to have him to ourselves for a bit!!
. Not much else going on here, hoping the weather holds out for my hike tomorrow!

NOT okay in November in Alaska. NO rain! It already 35* and the sun isn't even up. This is crazy yucky weather.
