The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Why must it be so rainy? Does anyone else get really creaky and sore and achy when it rains? I have my whole back in knots :(

Laurie- That is so cool about the Amish Wedding. One of my college roomies lived in Lancaster, PA and whenever I went to visit her, she'd get mad at me for being too tourist-y
Do you like Jodie Picoult? Her book Plain Truth was really good (and is what I know most about the Amish ....;))

Clara- what a fun and busy time! That limo sounds like it was hysterical. Can't wait to see all of the pics.

Everyone is so quiet!

Where are you alllllll?????

Morning all- another rainy day to start- but should clear as the day goes on- so the dog gets his dream and can spend the day outside today while I am at work- also means I can work later/longer and leave my laptop at work instead of bringing it home to catch up and leaving it there. Another co-worker is also planning on staying late,so we may order pizza.

Chris I haven't read the book- but have been to one other Amish reception- I can tell you they get married on Thursdays, we get invited to the reception at the parents house which is usually where church/wedding is - but in another building- people get called in by the father to sit in designated spots- the house is filled with rows of tables in different rooms. There is a mid day meal and an evening meal. At the end of the meal an amish girl will start collecting the plates, food left on the table- grab the dishpan from under the table and start cleanup- there is a collection taken up to pay for the servers by boys bringing pans around and shaking the change in them for people to add to. Also at the end of the meal the men take out their songbooks and just start singing hymns in dutch german ( as one man put it- sounds like crows squawking- not that bad really)- obviously no pictures- but a fun experience anyways.

Hey there girlies....hope you are having a great morning!!

yes, it was quiet here yesterday!! I was not feeling too hot myself...I came to the O and made a couple of posts, but had to sign off...I went to the DR yesterday morning...they are running every blood test known to man on me...and then I had to have a biopsy done on my cervix....only precautionary.....with all of my female problems he just did not want to take any chances that he was missing something. The stuff they gave me to numb me up with gave me a reaction of some sort....I nearly passed out, and then felt sort of crappy the rest of the day...so I was a couch potato all day.

I am hoping for some sort of sunshine today...it's been raining and cold for two days now!! The weather says partyly sunny today....so far I see NOTHING!!

Well...Cameran had to sit in the principal's office all day yesterday for his act in the class on Monday...he said "it wasn't bad Nana...I did not mind" Oh my!!! I really think he had two things going on...he loves to be the class clown and make everyone laugh, and he is BORED!!! Sharon acts like he murdered someone. I told her she was being too hard on him...but...I am the NANA and I am going to say that :heh:

Okay...I need to run for now...I will be back in a bit!! to you all!!

good morning! yay I'm actually posting in the morning! Matthew's feeling under the weather... he has a cold or something anyway and then he went for his 4 year exam and got 4 immunizations... 1 in each arm and 1 in each thigh... so he's running a fever and feeling terrible... Gabe stayed home yesterday since schools were closed for the primary elections so I'm staying home today... the last week or 2 has killed my vacation balance *sigh* Oh well... the bright side is I'll get to do some design work... that isn't on a deadline ROFL!

Its off to meet with Will's principal this afternoon... she fired the assistant principal and he's the only one who knows how to deal with Will's episodes grrrr... also he's losing the teacher he's had for 2 years, so I need to make sure his placement for an accelerated class is going to be with a teacher who is going to be patient with him and not just label him a problem child... just the thought of meeting with this woman stresses me out... I think she's an idiot LOL.

Chris - I'm with you on the rain... it sucks... :)

Linda - we have to worry about the boredom issue with Will too because he's at such an advanced level with reading and stuff... sounds like he's just going to be a fun kid though!

WWW:
I want a headache free day (2 weeks now of daily dull migraines ugh)
I want to have a good meeting with Will's principal..
I wish all of my friends a happy day!

good morning.

Lots to do today. lots of cleaning anyway. derek and iselected a room to start putting things into as we go, but I have to get it cleaned out first. Cutting 600 sqft and a garage is going to be a bit rough. but we'll manage. me getting rid of stuff isn't going to be the hard part. Derek will be the hard part. So, I've got ot get busy on that. I've been so blah about everything but then I remebered my fly lady training and so this morning I got up and got dressed, not to shoes, since I don't wear shoes generally, but dressed is doing pretty good. I have to keep my scrap time to when the kids are sleeping deadline or not. Otherwise I will spend the whole day on the computer misusing time and I can't have that. So, I'm writing you guys now while she's till sleeping in the morning. My neighbor is going to come over today and help me stay focused. I hope that helps. I'll just keep waiting for Nana to come across to see me. :)

So, today I am going to do some personals...finally.

Chris - it is rainy on the west coast too. I don't get achy but I sure get even more unmotivated than I already am. LOL!! It has been really quiet here. I miss everybody's blabbering and am so glad to always see you, Linda, Laurie and now Sandra again. I hope everyone starts popping in more often.

Laurie - I hope you don't have to bring your laptop home. My mom used to be a major workaholic at her last job and the world ended when she got a laptop to bring home. Not that I think it is the same for you. But I know the laptop at home is never fun for anyone. The amish wedding sounds so cool. The Amish have always fascinated me. My husband grew up in Ohio, near Akron, and they lived near a Menanite (sp?) community plus in his job, plus several other jobs he had, he would work with the Amish so he seems to know quite a bit about them. The last job he had he was an x-ray tech and the clinic he worked for had an Amish clinic where they would go to the Amish community and provide health care for them. They would all pay in cash. He could always tell the difference between the Amish and Menanite. The only way I could tell the difference was if I saw them driving a car or walking around Walmart. Until I met Derek I never knew that there were different Amish-type religions. So, this is kinda funny. When Derek was in college he pulled a prank on a couple of older Amish men. They would drive their buggies to the bar at night and get drunk and then climb back into their buggy and their horse knew where to take them home. So, Derek and his buddies, switched out the horses one night so that they went to the wrong houses. Boys!!

Linda - Oh Linda!! I hope you are okay and I am glad you have gone to the doctor to get better. I don't like you being sickly. I hope they get you figured out and make you better quickly. So, what's this business with Cameran? I just read back. If I were Sharon I'd be upset with the teacher for not contacting her. I mean Cameran should def be accountable, but he should have been accountable much sooner and not because she asked. But at least now she knows. And for the teacher to let an experience that for Cameran was supposed to be a good one become disappointing was not very cool. Cameran sounds so much like Ethan. Me and his teacher have constant contact about his behavior this year, but in the past couple of years I have not been as lucky.

Sandra - those dull headaches are the worst. I have been having the same issue. I had to up my topomax ang got referred to a neurologist. We'll see what they say. Good luck with Will and his school. Something changed with his meds and diagnosis recently didn't it? Has that helped things? Poor Matthew. I hope he feels better soon.

Alrighty...I got everyone so far today. I'll chat later.

Good morning Ladies!! It is also raining here on Vancouver Island :rain: ...and that dampness does tend to make the bones a little cranky! It has been very quiet here lately, yesterday I was in a bit of a funk so I wasn't in here at all. I got a phone call from my grandson Isaac who is almost 2yrs old, his mom and sister are on a trip to visit with other relatives and he wanted to say hi to his gamma. It was so wonderful to hear his excited little voice and we talked for quite a while. I was feeling better just speaking with him, but after the call it made me miss my grandbabies so much more  You see they live so far away that we do not get to see much of them, we do Skype quite a bit, but it is not the same.:pout: My son is away on a course for the Military and he is also missing his family very much, it makes me sad for him too!
Chris - perhaps a nice hot bath :bathbaby: will take away your aches and pains, hopefully the sun will shine again soon and you will feel better. It's amazing what a little sunshine can do for the soul!
Laurie...hoping you get some time at home without that laptop of yours!:typing:
Linda... wow girl, sounds like you are going through some rough time with your female problems!! I hope the doctors figure it out for you, sending healing thoughts out your way
Sandra... So nice to see you in here! Bet you wish you were still on vacation!! Sorry that you have so many headaches, perhaps you should try some meditation or yoga? With all the stress you seem to be feeling, it is most likely the cause of your migraines :noidea:
Clara...sounds like you are busy, busy...but while you are at it would you like to come over to my place and clean out my garage?? LOL :sorry: just kidding. Hope you have a good day!!

Clara- loved your story about the horses at the bar!
NAnaLinda- feel better
Sandra- good to see you again- hope your migraines go away soon
Trudy- good to see you too
