Happy Wednesday O-Fam!!!! ::grouphug
(is it really only Wed??? heheh!!!)
Another "interesting" day over here in Faery-Land. I kinda-sorta finished my food shopping list for today, still not much in the way of actual meals but I guess we will just hafta wing it. Then I was able to spray paint the baby gate. Gary put an old baby gate up to keep the dogs from wandering onto our neighbor's lawn. Jaida can just reach over there on her lead and Ray, who never went over there, would follow. After a couple of poop piles, we came up with that so they can't do that. It looks horrible, so I spray painted it with some green and black paint, and will plant morning glories along the base so at least it will look pretty in the summer.
Got some more seedlings into pots, and found a few lettuce plants that survived the winter- our lettuce had gone to seed, and viola! There they were, growing next to the mint. Hopefully they will all make it.
I popped over to the thrift store and found 4 little glasses to be the vase part of my pine cone zinnias. Put some small stones on the bottom, then the zinnias, then a ribbon around it. All I can say is OMG- they came out freaking adorable! This started out as a Pinterest Fail, but I love them now!
Off to the dietician with Cait- she has met her goals of iron supplements daily and increasing water intake. Also- breakfast every day, even if they are just B-Fast Biscuits. She is still way short on protein - really way short- so we found some tofu recipes to try.
And-- drum roll...... Gary opened a letter from the school, thinking it was yet another attendance notice, but No!! It was a letter saying that Caitlyn won an award for - something.... can't remember the name but from her Child Development teacher. Take *that* Attendance Police! She doesn't really want to go to the ceremony, but she would love to show up the VP who handles her case. LOL
So those were the good things, Scott was having a roller coaster kind of day. He was told by FedEx that his snake would be here at noon. No sign of the snake. Then it would be here by 4. Still no snake. Then they can't find the package- they don't know if it is on a truck, or what route or if it was still in the warehouse. By 7, he is fuming not so much for himself, but for the living creature in the box! FedEx was no help, and said that the driver- whoever it was- would have to be back at the warehouse at 7.45pm.
At 8, I was getting ready for bed, Scott is really upset, Gary says, trying to be helpful, that if the snake comes tomorrow and is dead, then you get another one sent- which to Scott, was not the point.
Next thing I know, Jaida is barking her head off, and it is the snake! Woot!! Scott was so happy, but really nervous when he opened the package. But she was alive and is really cute! He posted a picture last night and she was out on the rocks, so I guess she is getting used to her new home.
Wow, I blabbered on here.
I have to go food shopping (yuck) pay bills (double yuck) and drive over with Gary to drop Cait's car off at the dealership to see if her gas tank is one that needs to be replaced. Of course, because with live in the boonies- dealership is about 40 minutes away. This is going to be one of the nicest days in a long time and instead of being outside, I am going to be running all over the place. :Cry:
It is what it is, and it could be worse and I could be doing all of that running in the rain.
Hope that you enjoyed reading the novel of my actually very boring day ha!!!!
xoxoxo!!!
