Happy Wednesday O-Fam!!!! ::grouphug

(is it really only Wed??? heheh!!!)

Another "interesting" day over here in Faery-Land. I kinda-sorta finished my food shopping list for today, still not much in the way of actual meals but I guess we will just hafta wing it. Then I was able to spray paint the baby gate. Gary put an old baby gate up to keep the dogs from wandering onto our neighbor's lawn. Jaida can just reach over there on her lead and Ray, who never went over there, would follow. After a couple of poop piles, we came up with that so they can't do that. It looks horrible, so I spray painted it with some green and black paint, and will plant morning glories along the base so at least it will look pretty in the summer.

Got some more seedlings into pots, and found a few lettuce plants that survived the winter- our lettuce had gone to seed, and viola! There they were, growing next to the mint. Hopefully they will all make it.

I popped over to the thrift store and found 4 little glasses to be the vase part of my pine cone zinnias. Put some small stones on the bottom, then the zinnias, then a ribbon around it. All I can say is OMG- they came out freaking adorable! This started out as a Pinterest Fail, but I love them now!

Off to the dietician with Cait- she has met her goals of iron supplements daily and increasing water intake. Also- breakfast every day, even if they are just B-Fast Biscuits. She is still way short on protein - really way short- so we found some tofu recipes to try.

And-- drum roll...... Gary opened a letter from the school, thinking it was yet another attendance notice, but No!! It was a letter saying that Caitlyn won an award for - something.... can't remember the name but from her Child Development teacher. Take *that* Attendance Police! She doesn't really want to go to the ceremony, but she would love to show up the VP who handles her case. LOL

So those were the good things, Scott was having a roller coaster kind of day. He was told by FedEx that his snake would be here at noon. No sign of the snake. Then it would be here by 4. Still no snake. Then they can't find the package- they don't know if it is on a truck, or what route or if it was still in the warehouse. By 7, he is fuming not so much for himself, but for the living creature in the box! FedEx was no help, and said that the driver- whoever it was- would have to be back at the warehouse at 7.45pm.
At 8, I was getting ready for bed, Scott is really upset, Gary says, trying to be helpful, that if the snake comes tomorrow and is dead, then you get another one sent- which to Scott, was not the point.
Next thing I know, Jaida is barking her head off, and it is the snake! Woot!! Scott was so happy, but really nervous when he opened the package. But she was alive and is really cute! He posted a picture last night and she was out on the rocks, so I guess she is getting used to her new home.

Wow, I blabbered on here.

I have to go food shopping (yuck) pay bills (double yuck) and drive over with Gary to drop Cait's car off at the dealership to see if her gas tank is one that needs to be replaced. Of course, because with live in the boonies- dealership is about 40 minutes away. This is going to be one of the nicest days in a long time and instead of being outside, I am going to be running all over the place.

It is what it is, and it could be worse and I could be doing all of that running in the rain.

Hope that you enjoyed reading the novel of my actually very boring day ha!!!!

xoxoxo!!!

Nancy- welcome back! We missed you! 190 different species of birds, that is astounding! Sounds like it was an amazing trip. Poor Luther must have missed you a lot. he is going to be glued to you today, I bet.

Trudy- are ya here? You didn't drown on the flip, did you? I hope not LOL
So happy that your vertigo is better. There are some homeopathic meds that are supposed to help tinnitus. I know I got them for Gary but they didn't help him much. If I see them i will write down the name and maybe you have them in BC.
An easel!!!! That is such a fab gift for you!!! I know that you will be painting up a storm!!

Speaking of painting-- how do you clean your table that you stained? I have been using a damp paper towel, but am not sure if that it the best way to do it?

Rae- hope that you were able to get all of your work done that you needed to do. Bet the dogs had a blast in the river.
My mom hates the pets that my kids collect. When Scott had the spider, she wouldn't even go upstairs. The rats, didn't like their red eyes (4 of the 4 were albino) and I know she will hate this snake too since she has red eyes. But she loves my kids and by default accepts their pets. :D

hugs!

Morning ladies... Well my Vertigo is still too bad for me to go on my hike today :hurt: I want my life back!! I was feeling so darn good and now I have to deal with this crazy dizziness!! I am making an appointment with the chiropractor to see if there is anything that he can do to help me out. It is a beautiful sunny day and I could be out there enjoying all that my lovely area has to offer, but NOOOO I am stuck here with the world spinning around me!! WTH did I do to deserve this???? Ok I will stop ranting and just suck it up!! :tape: Whew thanks for listening!! :becky:

Chris - Yikes poor Scott must have been so worried about his new pet still being alive!! I am so happy that it was finally delivered to him safe and sound! Hooray for Cait!!! WTG girl!! Take that you darn attendance police!!!

As for cleaning my table top, well I just use a damp cloth on it. If you used the two in one stain/polyurethane it is pretty durable and you could probably use something like vim on it if you have a big mess on your table! I would love the names of the homeopathic meds I am willing to try anything!! Thanks

Rae - I sure hope that you were able to get out with the dogs yesterday and enjoy this beautiful weather we are having! I am going to at least attempt some kind of a walk outside today.

Ok I better get something to eat and take my pills, which don't seem to be helping too much, but I guess I have to give it some time to work. I hope you all have a wonderful day and that you get to do something fun today!!

Good morning, Chris. Looks like we're the only early ones today. Watched the finale to The Good Wife last night and am sad that the show is ended and hated the way it finished. Today's a quieter day, not as busy a workday and no dog walking today. Yesterday was too busy. I ended up taking the dogs out for a few hours as it was nice to get out of the hot sun into the shaded park and they were full of energy. Then I met up with a few other guys with their dogs and they all played. Then I had to come home and go back to work for a few hours. Didn't finish up until 7:30 and then had to make dinner. I really enjoy the time out with the dogs though and know they love it, so its worth it.
Today I plan to make some time for myself, to scrap a bit. I need to go get some groceries too.

Chris - glad the snake made it safely. You need to post pics of your pinterest project when they are done.

Trudy - you're probably posting right now, aren't you :) Hope you're feeling ok and enjoying your day.

Going to go grab a second cup of coffee and check my work for the day. Have a great day, everyone.

See, I knew it Trudy...you snuck in there before me LOL. That sucks about the vertigo, I had hoped it was gone now. So frustrating. Hope you at least are able to get outside for a bit and enjoy our lovely weather. We've been lucky lately with lots of sunshine and warmth. I'm sending healthy prayers your way for the vertigo to pass.

Well, Rae, I probably would have had more luck watching The Good Wife last night vs. the hockey playoffs. The Caps got themselves out-played and are out. Boo. Their playoff run was nothing like the regular season, which sucks. Now, if we could just get rid of this darn rain, maybe I could get into the baseball season ... maybe ... we're at day 15 - straight!! - of rain. Blah!

Have no idea if it's the weather, but things have been cray-cray here today. Came in super early (6:15) and did a workout in the office gym ... yay. Ate my plain Greek yogurt (shudder! blech! I keep telling myself it will get better) with cinnamon and fresh fruit ... yay. And then ... well, then it was calls, emails ... Can you get a full moon during the day?!?! This is what I'd like to do: :frusty: or :smash:

Trudy, I hope the vertigo goes away soon!

WTG Cait on the award! :clap2: Still not too sure about having a snake around ...

Oops, got a conference call to get onto ... will be back later.

Hope you at least are able to get outside for a bit and enjoy our lovely weather. We've been lucky lately with lots of sunshine and warmth.

Define "lovely weather" ... I can't remember what that is like. A small "blip" of sun yesterday for less than an hour ... and then the rain came back.
