The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
heheh not May- yup April 1st- April fools day. Sadly this is it on my tricks on tap for this year. I used to love to get the kids on some good stuff- my best yet was when I took a pic of Caitlyn having her "arm" tattooed by Gary (he has a practice skin covering her, but you couldn't see it. My family/friends *freaked*

But I am not having a "fun" state of mind here. I got news yesterday that my PT job is getting cut in half- half the hours/salary. I need to be grateful that I have a job at all, and hopefully this will be reviewed in 6 months..... But man, this is getting B.A.D.
I seriously don't know how much longer we can live on this! And being sick a lot of the time, neither Gary and I can commit to a FT job- its like some horrible catch 22.

Enough of that- I can't stand being miserable, even if I am on the inside.

Today Gary and I planned a "Date Day." I need to run some errands to pick up some stuff for a Gift Basket I am working on. So we'll have some time together which will be nice.

So- April Fool's-- anyone have good plans? What was your favorite trick?

ME- Hi there! I see ya slipped in while I was out :) We have Spring Break the whole week after Easter- I hope that the weather cooperates and we can find some fun stuff to do with the kids to get them out of the house!

Dawn, so happy to hear that Davy is doing better!!!!

kelly- ooh must check out your gallery- I haven't even had a chance to do Amanda's DSL :( I def, need to get on that!

Lia-- great news about your photos!! And woot on Making Standing O!

Kristin LOLOL! I am not laughing at you- but with you- My MIL is a quilter- published in many magazines, 2 books-- and is always wanting to teach me. My brain cannot wrap around the concept! Howeever, she is teaching Caitlyn- and she is really good at it. I hope that your quilt gets easier as you go along. And Thanks for understanding about my hatred for HMO's LOL

Tali- I was thinkin gof you and LindaP yesterday- I heard on the news about the blizzard warnings and all of the highway closures. Yikes!! be safe!
Thinking of you- see, I like to fly- not the airport crap but the actual flight is cool. You'll be fine- and yes bring and ipod if you can. Spray tans ROCK! I got one for my brother's wedding 2 years ago- it was awesome! (Of course, I freaked when I got home and my dog licked my leg- I thought for sure there was going to be a "white" patch- but nope- it was nice and even!

Sally you hillbilly you!LOL You crack me up! I am sure you'd sing beautifully even if you didn't have any teeth. I am so sorry to hear that life is being hard on you- you deserve every last bit of best-ness!
And I hear ya on having a good hubby around. After I got the news about my salary- I flipped- hypervetilated, cried, fell to pieces- total mess. It was so good that I had him there telling me that everything is going to be ok. I don't 100% belive him ATM, but at least he knew how to comfort me.
And that in itself is a huge blessing.

Fresh starts! It is all about fresh starts!!!!!! YES!

:D:D:D:D

K-Bammmmmmm!!!! Fingers toes and eyes all crossed for you on the test!!!!!!
And yay! I am glad you are trying out- it can't hurt!

Jen - Loved your post! So happy!! Congrats for your DH! And don't feel bad- my wii fit age is like 54 or soemthing and I am only 40.

Stephie- I take B12's you take the sublinguals -- they are supposed to be much better than the once a day ones. My Lyme dr told me I should be taking them every few hours, but who can afford that?
That "book" on Stephanie Meyers website is from Edwards POV- I read about 40 something pages, then made myself stop. When/if she releases it as a book- I don't want to ruin the experience. The Twilight series was good- very quick reads. try them!

Sara the dancing llama (more Monty Python jokes...) glad to hear Ben is better!

Whew! Linda- sooo glad the blizzrd missed you! Yay for your DD coming home soon!

Joslyn, so glad that your tests came out ok! Give that belly a good pat from me! Enjoy those oreos!

To everyone I might have missed or pops in today!

Have a *great* day!!

Gotta blow my hair dry a bit before I venture out to the bus!

xoxoxo

I'm so sorry to read about you're job & salary cut .... :(
life is so hard on you ... I wish I could do so much more than just tell you I'm sorry and pray for you ...

(((hugs)))

Good morning, ladies! It's April. Can you believe that?? Anyone do any April fools pranks?

Funny story - on the way to work and daycare, we are stopped at a light in front of Giant, our grocery store. Christian tells me, look, mommy, cookie store! LOL. He's become very well acquainted with the bakery counter in Giant - they often have free samples. Oh, my!

Chris, honey -- I'm sorry to hear about the job too. Hugs, my friend!! Hoping it all works out okay for you.

Hiya Dumpty!

Love to you all. Hope you all have a good day. :)

Morning everyone! Happy April!

Chris-sooooo sorry about the job news! Big, Big (((hugs))).

Hi ME, Hi Dumpty!!! Love you all! I'll stop in this evening :).

Quick one from me today! Have bunches of meetings!! :( SOOO sorry to hear about the job Chris...Hang in there hun! And on the quilt...hahaha...i got started thanks to a shop stop...Saw a quilt I LOVED bought the pattern and jumped in!! that was how I got started on Cross Stitch as well...my first piece was a 2 foot by 2 foot victorian lady sitting on a woody grassy flowery bank by a body of water with a little cottage...Took me a YEAR to finish that one...so I guess I'm slated for at least a year with the quilt!! HAHAHA

Hi ladies!
Happy April fool! Today is my DH birthday...what a day to be born :!:...but we are not doing anything as I am still not feeling well.
All the salaries are down...people are off all around the world, the situation is not good. I also lost my job in January, and sometimes I am still a little depress and sad by the way it was done...sometimes bosses can be really jerks!:(

But...life goes on and it has it's on way to take care of us...somehow things will get better, even if it will take a little longer this time...

Amanda's spotlight keeps me very busy! I should be in bed but I can't...must create!!!

Here it seems that the weather is ignoring the fact that we just got into Autumn and went strait to winter...brrrrrr..........

Be safe and try to be happy!
Love ya!

Hi everyone! Popping in for a quick hi. April's going to be a busy month for me between work, my in-laws visiting and my brother and his family visiting. Whew. I need a rest already.

Hope you're all doing well!

Karen

It's almost naptime here....during which I'll be doing my cardio. One of these day's I'll get up early enough to get it done first thing....so i can scrap during naptime.

For those of you wondering, the banana bread turned out pretty decent. Good for healthy food. Better than a protien bar and its kinda like I'm cheating. It needs nuts though. I made a blueberry version which was really bland...and a strawberry version which was really good. Next? An apple cinnimon version.

Here is the banana recipie--Taken from the Body for Life website. However, I've been doubling it....so here is the single version.

2 servings In Medium Bowl Combine:
3 TBS Plain Protein Powder
1/2 Cup 100% Stone Ground Whole Wheat Flour
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1/8 Tsp Baking Soda
1/4 Tsp Cinnamon

In Small Bowl Combine:
1 Medium Banana (Starting to turn brown), mashed
1 Egg White
1/4 Cup Unsweetened Apple Sauce

Add wet ingredients to dry. Stir until moistened.

Divide batter into 2 mini-loaf pans and bake in toaster oven at 350 for 20 minutes,
OR
Put all batter into 1 mini-loaf pan and bake at 350 for 25 minutes,
OR
Use a regular muffin pan to make 4 muffins. Bake at 350 for approximately 15 minutes.

This recipe makes 2 servings, so 1/2 of the batter is a meal. Each serving has 38g Carbs and 25g Protein!

for the strawberry bread i substituted flaxseed for the egg. ALSO....in my next batch of bread. I'm going to use 3/4c wheat flour and 1/4 cup soy flour. We will see

Chris: Yay for Date day! We will probably be getting one next week. DH's company is probably going on strike.

Mary Ellen: April fool's use to be my mom's Christmas....lol. We love it here. Don't have anything planned today.

YAM: so sorry about your job loss. Hope you find something soon!

Sally: Have a fun time with those photos. I can't wait (well I can but you kwim) until my girls enjoy photos...

Good morning. I never got back to checking in yesterday. I read everything but just didn't get to posting. I had a very lazy morning. I layed in bed and scrapped. It was great. Then I moved on to very annoying doctor issues. So, I talked to my doctor awhile ago about my sinuses. I always have headaches and am always stuffed up. So he had me go in for a CT scan. Afterwatd he said that there was nothing major that needed surgery so maybe I should see an allergist. Then he got a much better job and left our clinic. I was supposedly referred to an ENT but the referral never went through so they put in a new referral and I had my appointment scheduled for yesterday. In that process I double checked with the "nurse" (they are not really nurses but call themselves that in the clinic) to make sure that was the correct referral for my allergies and they said yes. So I went to the appointment in Tacoma (about 35 minutes from my house) and saw the doctor I was referred to. After talking to him for a few minutes I found out that he was a surgeon and had nothing to do with allergies. So I wasted half of my last vacation day going to see a doctor i didn't need to see. Thankfully I have great insurance and don't have to pay for anything but still, that was a lot of time wasted. I was really upset about it. I need to talk to the clinic manager about it now. I don't really want to but i need to.

So, I am almost done with the Amanada challenge but am now working on the modern layout. I am very proud of the ones I have done so far. I have such a hard time keeping layout simple but I really like how they came out and took a lot of pics just to do the layouts and have some possible ideas to work on today for it. I think cropping is going to be my focus. I do crop photos of course but never edgy cropping, ya know?? I am trying to pop that bubble I scrap in a little bit a push myself. Eeeek!! It is a little scary to step out of the box.

So today at lunch I am going to go and get a friend of mine a coffee from Starbucks. her 40th birthday was on Monday and she pretended like it didn't happen, like that makes her not 40 or something. She is one of the youngest 40 year olds I know but it is still freaking out. I understand it though. I freaked out for 30 but then I had my birthday and felt really good about it, even though we sent my friend to rehab on my birthday. It was an interesting day to say the least.

Well, I have been wordy enough now. I have lopts to say to all of you though...

Tali - one idea for you...airport bar!!! Drinks may be expensive but they are usually strong and pretty worth it. I know they help me get on the plane. Plus what a great way to start your trip to Vegas than with a pina colada or something??

Chris - That really sucks about your job. I agree with Dumpty...I wish there were more I could do for you besides say I'm sorry and keep you in my prayers. I do that though. And I ordered a basket. :) I am so excited for my sil to get it. I still need to come up with what to write in a card. I'll work on that today.

Sally - you are definately not in the hillbilly world alone. My poor sister had to have the same tooth pulled. She had an absess in the bone and had to have it removed several times and the bone just would reform for the longest time. She treid saving that tooth for years but they finally just had to pull it. She had the retainer with a tooth onit for quite awhile and had hoped she could get an implant but because there was no bone growth she ended up getting a bridge. At least now it is take cane of though. My husband also has two implants where his eye teeth are. he had a bad braces experience and the teeth disconnected from his bone so they had to be pulled. He was able to get implants since the Army did his braces. They had to give him implants. So yay. I know those implants are expensive but once they are in and everything you are good to go. Too bad you can't get airline miles for them. That would totally rock. :)

Dawn - I am so glad to hear that Davy is okay and playing with you and everything. Poor bunny shouldn't get sick.

Kelly - Dang upload limits. It was great chatting with you last night.

Lia - I hate people working on my house too although not because I don't like being alone but because they move stuff and mess with stuff. At least you'll have a nice new roof though. Sorry about all the dust. I have allergies to dust too. It sucks.

Kristen - Good luck with the quilt. I can't sew anything much less a quilt so good for you for even making the attempt.

Hi ME!!!!

Kayleigh - Yay about that job stuff. I hope you do awesome and get a job there.

Jen - Yay about the Wii. Isn't it fun?? I love mine although I've been bad and not using it lately. Oh, and you asked about the DMB concert awhile ago...it isn't until Labor Day weekend. So, I have awhile yet. Last year was awesome though. It was right after Leroi died and they played and played. We actually had to leave before it was over because it was strangely cold and my poor kids were freezing. We do DMB as a family and I love it. My ds's fave songs are gravedigger and dream girl, oh and sattelite. It is so cute listening to him sing along. This year we are going to the Saturday and Sunday concerts. It is just so awesome there. It is one of the best venues for that type of concert. I love it!! You should fly out and go. :)

Stephie - Yay for a plan. I need to come up with a plan by Friday. I need to get some pics of cruise ships and plaster them everywhere. I want to feel comfortable in a swimsuit by next year.

Sara - It was fun chatting with you last night. Thanks for sharing the toast thing. Thatw as funny but not as funny as Ethan singing it after the fact. And Texas Toast?? Hilarious!!

Joslyn - My mom went through the same thing with my sis. She measured small and the doctors wouldn't let her have her and had all the warming stuff and Nicu on standby and all that and she was 7.5 pounds. That was before all the tests and stuff, plus a Navy military hospital (they have gotten better but at the time they were horrible, my mom at one point got put on major psychotic drugs for headaches at one point). I am so glad everything came out great. Milk does abody good!! :)

Yam - Happy Bday to DH!! I hope you feel better soon.

Hi Merkee and Karen!!! And to everyone else...Have a fantastic day.

Ahhh!! I said I was going to do personals last night and then I never did, and I don't have time today either!

But, I wanted to say bye to all of you. :) I can't drink before getting on the flight - I will probably puke if I do that. I'm bringing my laptop and going go scrap and listen to music on the way, and do a lot of breathing exercises. :)

We leave asap tomorrow morning. We are leaving early to pick up MIL - her sister was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 weeks ago and MIL is going to spend the day with her in Omaha, so we are taking her with us there. Then she will hop on her flight to Vegas on Friday.

Sara and Tessie - I'll wave to Omaha as I get into town and fly over. If you hear of a plane crashing from Omaha to Vegas, that was me.

Talk to ya'll when I get back!!

TALI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no plane crashing jokes until I'm back from California in May!!!! LOL!! you'll do great, darlin'!! Have a wonderful trip to vegas and a wonderful wedding!! I'm envying your spray tan...i'm not sure if red heads can do that!! hmmmmm...i'll have to look into that!!!

Have a great time Tali!!! You will be fine!!!!!! ;-)
Take lots of photos!! Talk to ya when you get back!!!!

Hi Girls! I worked out and am feeling really good. I've got to keep up the weight loss that I started with the Healthy O's. =) I had a good day at work and had a little fun with a friend. Just a good day. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? =)

Chris - I'm sooo sorry about your work. I wish I could hire you to come here, but I don't think the flight would make it worth it. har har. Sending positive thoughts your way.

ME - I love that the first thing we come across the fruit first when we go to the store on Fridays. Ben loves fruit and doesn't even know about the cookies. I hope to keep it that way as long as I can. However, he will do just about anything for mini-Oreos. We did find that out.

Kristen - I started quilting a year or so before I got pregnant with Ben. I stopped quilting when I had Ben. Ha!!! I still have stuff sitting in my basement that should be quilted. =)

Yam - I totally understand the addiction to Amanda's spotlight. That's what got me hooked on the O to begin with...Amanda's spotlight last summer. That's all I did was scrap for a week practically. =) And talk about cold. 57 and pretty tomorrow, 34 and snowy on Sunday.

Sally - It's so true that we feel soooo good when we feel productive and good about ourselves huh? I've stopped depending on others to be happy and started focusing on me and my son. What makes the two of us happy will be what I do.

Lia - I'm jealous that you are getting somewhere on your house. We're not getting anywhere on ours. Good luck with it!

Steph - Great job!! I can't get my butt out of bed in the morning....I'm so a night owl. So I end up working out when I get home. Which is fine for me, but it doesn't really jive with my hubby's schedule. Oh well. =)

Clara - that stinks about losing half a day. And I'm glad you and Ethan enjoyed Toast. =) For anyone else interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BILAFuSi-i0

Tali - Have fun!!!!! You won't crash. But if you decide to jump out of the plane, I promise I will catch you!

Hi to all those who dropped in....ME, Merkee, etc.

Hope you all have a good Thur. and Fri!

Evening girlies!

Hi Sally **waving back**!!

Tali-you will be fine! Have a great time :).

Sara-WTG on sticking with the wt loss! I totally bombed out on it this time, maybe later.

I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow, no excuses !!!

eeeek! I just realized what time it is...I am late getting in bed, Davy is costing me an extra 30 min in the mornings and a LOT of time at night :) which is totally ok. My new phrase is "No, Davy". He chews on everything, this morning he had found a dime (!!) and was picking it up and dropping it over and over before I realized what he had. It is just like having a baby around. .

Hugs to all, good night!
