The snow if officially all melted off of my lawn!!! Woooooot!!!! It came at the cost of my poor basement that is flooded and will be again tomorrow when we are predicted to get another 2-3 inches of rain. But at least it isn't snow.
That makes me really happy- the no snow, not the flooding. Maybe we are actually done for the year? Maybe?? I hope!

I am off to the Christmas Tree Shops today, I have to look for some stuff for the Craft Fair that is coming up more quickly that I would like. And wheee! Today is also Social Security Deposit Day soo I can pay some bills. (boooooooooo)

I wish that Gary's Disability payments would go up a bit. The govt says that COLA didn't go up, but I sure have seen costs/taxes rising for quite a while.
I really really wish I had an airplane and unlimited funds to come visit you all, especially Nina right now.
I want my O-Fam to have a great day and to start warming up for a very big party here!
 
Laurie- I am so proud of you and the treadmill. I worked out 2 days last week and that was it. I have to start getting back into my routine, that is half the battle. You are inspirational.

Kristy, I am glad i am not the only one who runs around all day and has nothing to show for it :)

Kayleigh- oh no, what a bummer to want to spend a few hours getting pampered and having it not work out.
However-- wow- your hair looks great! In that photo, you can't tell there is anything wrong at all. That said, if the girl screwed up your color, I would go back and speak to the owner. They should fix it for you at no cost. (I know, go back with allof your free time LOL) I am so lucky, my hair girl is a color-genius and she has a ton of color certifications. And I have been coloring my hair long enough to know that whatever that girl did was not right.
But you still look great!!

Good morning!! Happy Humpday!! Wednesdays have always been my favorite day of the week. Nothing really planned for today. Derek had a PT test (Physical Training) so he didn't want to drive the motorcycle in. Understandable but this is day 3 w/o a car. Ugh!! I get it tomorrow and the day after though. I need to hurry and finish my paperwork for the Red Cross so I can start volunteering. I have decided that I think I am going to try and volunteer in Mammography...but I need Derek to do some research for me. It would really only benefit me if I could work on getting my registry (a national certification saying I am rock star in that field). It would be good experience otherwise but not beneficial and if you guys remember that is the direction I want to go in x-ray. Then if I could learn how to do breast MRIs I'd be the breast health guru. LOL!! So, a little tidbit of random info...not only is mammography regulated by the ARRT (the certifying body of radiographers) but is also regulated by the FDA. Crazy, huh?

Anyway...

Chris - Yay for no snow!! WHOOHOO!!!! I am doing a happy dance for you. Boooooo on the flooding but if it means no snow I guess you have to take the bad with the good, right? Spring is springing. Yay!!

Kristy - Yay for a playdate and some grown up time. We all need a little of that sometimes.
 
Hi ladies!!!!

RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN AND MORE RAIN!!!!! Calling for city wide possible flooding all day today!!! It's cold too!!!! Back to 20 degrees at night...No wonder everyone is so sick...

Cameran is back to school today...he felt much better yesterday...but his stomach was still a bit messed up. Poor little Connor and his Sister are REALLY REALLY SICK....they are on their third day of fevers....She posted a photo on FB of Connor sleeping in the chair last night....his skin is very dark (they are Alaskan) and his face was just BEET RED. The other kiddos are still sick as well...they are passing a stomach virus from one to the next...so their Mom hasn't worked all week either. So they probably won't be back, as their regular babysitter is back next week. So things have settled way down here. Well...on the kiddie part anyway.

I went to the Dr and got some antibiotic for the start of another sinus infection.....CRAP...I have had more of this junk in one season this year than I have had in the past 6 or 7 years combined!!!! But I did not want to start a 3 month long battle again...so I fibbed to the Dr and told him it had been going on for over two weeks. I just didn't want to wait that long. BAD NANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But Nana's already less congested after the two doses!!!!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO after all that....I feel pretty good today....I am thinking that is Excellent, as I don't know that I will ever feel SUPER again...AHAHHAHAHAHA...I am too old!!!! I am understanding more and more what my parents have been talking about!!

I am going to run...........I hope you ladies all have a FABULOUS day today!!!!!

Chris....YAY FOR NO SNOW......I was wathching the news last night...and somewhere (can't remember which city it said) has gotten 173 inches of snow this year!! OOOOOOOOOOOHHH MY!!!! That's insane!!!!! HAVE A GREAT DAY SWEETIE!!!!

Clara....Oh sweetie....if I lived close...I would come get you to stay with me since you have no car....I don't go much at all...but just knowing my car is out there for me is a comfort....and I am so proud of you for signing up for the volunteering!!! YOU SO ROCK for this....and the mammography sounds like a good plan!!!!


Kristy...Hi ya sweetie.....YAY for GROWN UP TALK...I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN...I NEED IT TOO...I don't get much of it!!
 
Chris - Glad to see you're in a good mood today =] I hope your day continues to go great! Sorry for your basement flooding, you seem to me happy though so I take it flooding is worth no snow? And thank you, it's slowly starting to grow on me, it's not that bad I suppose.

Well, good morning (I can actually say that with a straight face today!). I am so excited only 2 more days until the birthday bash begins!!!!! I'm getting all geared up for it. Does anyone know if the lovely Cheery-Os will be putting out a set schedule for everything first? I need to make sure I'm available for all chats and challenges!

We started Kaylyn on cereal last night. We started with a spoon and oh man was that a mess! We eventually resorted to putting it in a bottle and cutting the tip of the nipple. But she totally loved it. She kept going after the spoon lol

Hi Kayleigh....Oooh that little princess will be sleeping well now!!!! Always just before bedtime, I did a bath, fed the cereal and then a bottle....my babies all slept well by two months old (8-9 hours a night). I hope your rain goes away too sweetie!!!
 
hey my darling O fam!!

I am up and at em this morning! I'm not sure I want to make a habit of it, seeing as how my body clock is really on Hawaiian time (whatever that is...don't ask me to convert time!! eek!!), but it is fun to drive Mr Gorgeous to his ride in the morning and have that extra 10 minutes with him...*sigh* love that man!!! He's been really treating me like a princess lately...so fun!! well, yeah, he always treats me like a princess, but it's been extra lately...like he'll say, "I have to go work out and then I'll come back in and fix dinner. What do you want?" How many husbands say that??? LOL!! (I guess he just wants to eat, since I tend to forget about dinner frequently!!LOL!!)

Anyway, today's agenda? easy...a little sewing here and there, and getting the downstairs looking as good as the upstairs. We have one day! :) And the kids are doing a great job!! :) and they are learning about the Civil War while doing it! ("Clean up fast, kids, and we can watch the videos!" LOL! gets em every time!!) Cora actually pitched a fit when I told her we were starting Gone With the Wind today. She said she had lunch plans with her friend...I'm thinking...time to stay home and do school! LOL!!! we'll see...we still have one hour left of the Blue and the Gray today.

Okay, I'm off to tie up a few loose ends and then get my camera ready for pics while I sew!

Morning everyone!! It's pouring rain here also today :rain: but it sure beats snow!! Off to work again today, got a call yesterday as I was posting in the "O" to come to work early and work a little longer than I was supposed to, so I had to do some scrambling to get ready. Pack a lunch, get showered and feed the cat etc. But made it in time. I hate when that happens, it kinda messes up the whole day. Hopefully I will have my nice short shift today and then back here later to do some scrapping. Got the copy cat challenge done late last night. Horray!!

Chris - I am doing a happy dance for you also :dance: so glad that the snow is gone, but too bad that it is now a lake in your basement. Hope you don't have anything down there that will get damaged!! I wish I could go shopping with you at the Christmas Tree shops... it sounds like a fun place!!

Kristy - Yay for the playdate, have a great time with your grown up talk, Enjoy!!

Kayleigh - I think your hair looks fine, but I would still complain to the manager also, my hairdresser rocks at color and it does not sound like yours did it right, although the end result turned out looking pretty good, but if you are not happy with it and you paid good money for it then I would complain!

Nana Linda - Oh no not another cold!!! Hope the meds do their thing for you right away and sometimes we have to tell just a little white lie to get what we want right?? Just have to say thanks again for all the love!!

Clara - I just love your stories!! You are awesome for wanting to do the volunter thing! I bet you would rock at doing mamograms and you could keep us on our toes for getting them done!

Sally - wow your MG sounds wonderful, you better hang onto him!! I love my MG too, although once in a while I wish he wasn't quite so stubborn, but he does help me out around here a lot and treats me like a princess too. I am so excited to get going on this birthday bash!! I don't work on Friday and I am not answering the phone if work calls. Let's get this party rockin!! :cheer2:

it was a good time...even had lunch over there! helena got all tuckered out and has been napping for the last 1.5 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!! its been so quiet here LOL did a LO and a march calendar (i tried to post them...but they never showed up?)
