I am so tired of being brain fried. All jumbled and scrambled in the brain. I mean, my brain is always a bit mushy, but now it is worse than normal-for-me. Meh.

Monday I fought with my taxes for hours. Yesterday I fought with my checkbook/computer/banking software for 5 hours. Its hard enough to pay bills, but when the equipment you use to pay them is all FUBAR'd :hurt:

Adding insult to injury, I was supposed to meet up with my BFF today since we got snowed out last week. She is really sick, so I don't even get to see her. Gary offered to come and run errands with me, but I told him no-- that is was my only day to get out and if his stomach acted up and he had to get back home, it would screw me up. Which made me feel like a major bitch, even though I didn't mean it that way at all.

This too shall pass, this too shall pass!!!!

WWW:
I want my cruddy mood to pass!!
I wish that there was little to no stress in anyone's life.
I want to hug my sweet little baby, who is having tubes put into his ears this morning.

Donna- how is your mom doing? Did the appt go well?

Eva-- that is such fantastic news about YMG's work. Anything that reduces stress is a good thing!

Phyllis- Oh, I am not an extreme couponer, some of those ladies are CRAZEEEE! LOL
I only buy what I need/will use. But I will scour the ad and only buy it if its on sale/have coupon. I also buy store brands for just about everything.
The sad part is that you are ll correct in that the crappy, non-nutritious foods are what goes on sale. I try to do a balance of home made vs convenience foods but it isn't always easy.

Can you tell me about Downtown Abby? I see people talking about it all of the time, but I don't know what it is.
Heh-- is that a sign of the times, that i "see" people talking?? LOL

Gotta run-- bus stop run #1........

Chris, Downton Abbey is a British soap opera peopled with people you can care about. It takes place at the end of the 19th century into the 20th. it just finished the second season. if you onto the PBS website, you can view some of the episodes from Season 2, though you'd be missing out on all of what happened in Season 1, which might be a prob and confusing.

i hope the brain fog clears. you are absolutely my hero, with all that you have to fit into a day. glad you set out alone. you deserve some ME time.

it's going to be 60 today. gotta get OUT in it! (after i clean the house....) hope the weather is great where y'all are.

Back really fast before bus run #2 time..

I am really to chop all of my hair off- its too cold to be running around with a wet head.
Nah-- can't do it any more than I can et it go back to my natural color of mousy dark brown. I am not vain about a lot of things, but brown hair and me, it just doesn't work. ;)

Trudy-- have a wonderful time with the grandkids. I am sure all of you are going to be worn out by the end. LOL I am sorry to hear that your taxes didn't work out for you either. Just think, it will be spring soon enopugh and our yards and gardens will become our vacation spots. ( <~ Yeah, that didn't work for me either)

Kristy-- all of the kids will be in school, sweet! I see you and Eva have nap time already planned :D

Maureen-- it really has been rainy for you this week. But it sounds like its all good for you, sorry to hear that Mr Bicycle Man isn't faring so well.
Scott mows lawns right now, but next year he'll need something way more steady. I lucked out when I was a kid. There wa s strip mall 1 mile frommy house and I worked at the bakery there one year, the Rite Aid 3 yearsd and a show store for about 4-5 years. I even had it where I was able to work at Rite Aid for an hour, go to the shoe store when it opened., then back to Rite Aid, so it would work for me to get rides.

Here-- there is nothing but a bunch of pizzerias, liquor stores and banks. So you can get drunk, go eat pizza and then rob a bank to pay for it :pound: JK!!!

And again-- I am sooo happy that your DS is not going to the 'stan (any and all of them LOL) Where is he stationed?

Guess I should blow my hair dry before it freezes to my scalp.....

Morning all!

Very windy here today. I have internet which is surprising (goes out all the time with weather) but no email for some reason. Feel a bit out of sorts with that this AM.............could I be addicted to my morning ritual of coffee, email, and the O.............well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad! I think that line is from an old 80's tune!

My mom's appt. went fine, trying to get her to and from with the wind trying to knock her and her walker down was the big issue. Not awful when I left the house, but terrible when we came home. Called some neighbors to see if anyone could help me as I sure did not want her to fall and no one home at the time so I managed. I'm sure we were quite the sight!

Chris- Hope your nephew does very well today and hope 'This too shall pass'...........some days I think that would be a great tatoo!!

Phylis- Hope you have a good day out and enjoy the nice temps.

Trudy-Have a WONDERFUL time and enjoy!

Have a great Wednesday!

Donna, those winds are supposed to arrive here later today!

Trudy, good luck with the babies. you've taken on a BIG job! my Grandmen are coming with their parents next month for 5 days, and i'm starting to wonder how that's going to work out!

Chris, believe it or not, I used to have really DARK brown hair. i haven't seen any color in my hair for 15 years! (i started going gray in my early 30s.) i'm used to being totally silver and couldn't imagine having brown hair again.

always chatty at the O!!
Hey ladies!!

Happy Hump Day!! It really is my favorite day of the week. I love that it starts in the first half og the week and ends in the second half of the week and I can start thinking about my weekend.

Yesterday I got my butt moving and got a bunch of stuff done. I am hoping for a repeat of that but I have to get off the computer for that. LOL!! You know...I hate doing my hair and that stops up my whole day. I put off washing and then blow drying it as long as possible in the morning.

Last night I made chili...which I am usually pretty good at but my husband set the tone for bad chili. HI ad the beans soaking overnight and set the pan in the sink and all he saw was a pan full of water and filled it with dirty dishes. Ahhhhh!! It was looking forward to chili...so bummer. LOL!! WE had Pho instead. No complaints from me. We have 2 Vietnamese restaurants around here. One is...eh. And the other is really good. We went to the place that is really good. Same price but it feels fancier and I like the waitresses. I felt like the soup wasn't iqute hot enough so the meat didn't cook in my soup as much as I liked...so I ate a few noodles and some of the broth and will be having the rest for lunch. The best part is that my kids LOVE Pho too. So we always just order 2 large bowls and that feeds the whole family. I wonder if I could live off of Pho. It sounds like a diet plan to me. I wish it wasn't such a pain to make. Lots of boiling.

So, I just set my timer for how long I get to be on here and it isn't much time so I'd better wrap this up.

Chris - I keep hearing about DT Abbey too. There are episodes on Hulu and I am thinking Season 1 is on Netflix. Good luck with your mush brain. I hate those days...you're not alone. Oh and I can't do the brown hair thing either. I got my hair cut one time a year or two ago and it was finally all natural and I hated it. It is mousy brown and dull too. But I darken and add red/golden. I want to add some chunky highlights like the girls in Italy always had...but I'm lazy and never do it.

Phylis - have fun doing something in the sunshine. the weather here in NC can't make up its mind. It was 80 last week and now it is sunny but freezing. My mom is coming to visit in about 2 weeks and we are headed to the beach so I hope it warms up by then.

Trudy - I am so excited for you. My mom misses my kids horribly and I know she loves when she is able to see them either here or there. This will be a fantastic time for you and for them.

Donna that wind sounds crazy. Good luck getting around in that weather.

Kristy - how do you lose time on the elliptical? I swear when I start exercising time stands still and I keep track of every single minute...hence why I don't work out.

Okay...I'm sure there have been some additions since I started this a few hours ago...
