How is my amazing and wOnderful O-Fam this morning? I hope everyone is just great!

I am doing ok, I have Caitlyn's cold. Its not terrible and I am taking lots of garlic to keep it at bay. I am excited about cleaning today. (I know!! Cray-zeeee!) but I am cleaning for my BFF. And when I am done, and she gets home from work, to a nice shiny clean house, we are going to sit and have coffee and catch up. I haven't seen her since Christmas. I miss her so much.

Quickie personals, bottom up!

Clara- It is good to clear the air once in a while. A therapist one told me that its the couples that never fight that have the worst issues. You have to "fight nice" however, and that is where I had my problems. LOL
My fingers and toes are all crossed for you guys.

Nana Linda- oooh, lots of calm kids vibes sent your way. Are they going to be at your house all at once or coming and going?
I am not sure which would be easier!

Meg- Ugh, that sounds so frustrating. Was everything resolved yet? And how are you feeling? Better?

I'd love to come down and help you get organized, but I have a feeling we'd end up gabbing instead of working. :blah:

Oh....forgot to tell you guys...I got a Kuerig!!!! WOOOOOOOOOT!!! They had a special on QVC on Saturday (I get a daily email..HEHE) and what a deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ordered on Saturday, delivered yesterday!! WOOT!!!! I got all kinds of coffee too with this special!!!!! YES....I brewed up my first cup as soon as it got here yesterday....well, with all the kids, it took me about two hours to get it out of the box, wiped down, run the initial water through and then brew a cup!! YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! going to brew one right now!!! I have 45 minutes before little ones start showing up!!

Thanks for the Lil birthday love, Chris!! I'm uploading a video of the 9yo right now onto facebook!! she's crazy...LOL. That is what we are up to today...birthday adventures...you can probably follow along on FB. I'm hoping to keep a running journal!

NanaL, make sure they don't tie you up too tight. And enjoy your coffee...there is nothing better than a specially brewed cup of coffee! yipeeeee...

Chris, you will have many blessings this year, I just know it...and it'll probably start with your tax return...I'm feeling it!

hey all....a bit disappointed today....me and hubs were invited to a wedding in NC next month....a old friend of his....well looks like i wont be able to go.....even after having the dogs/house and kids taken care of....i cant go.....such a huge bummer for me...i was so looking forward to it...but its just gonna cost too much money for the both of us to go almost 900 bucks just for 2 days!!! UGH
 
Good morning!! My allergies are on full attack this morning. Ugh!! Just took a zyrtec so hopefully it will get better quickly. I sure hope so. My nose is soooo stuffy and I can't stop sneezing and my eyes are all puffy. Yuck!!

So the friends didn't come over last night. She got sick. She hoped it was allergies but woke up this morning feeling like crap. I gave her Chris' advice on the garlic pills. Derek loves having people over so that our house gets cleaned. LOL!!

Well, Addie and I are going to run some errands today, so I better get...

Chris - I am with you about clearing the air and amazingly enough that night I did fight nice. I am not always a nice fighter. Often I can be downright nasty and he had his own low blows that because I was fighting fair made little sense and he had to take them back. He often relies on the fact that I will be come the crazy wife and so he can just sit back and wait and push a few buttons and wait for it to happen so that he gets out of the fight unscathed but I finally caught on to his little plan and so he can't play like that anymore. And that is just mean to watch me spiral down like that. Horrible thing to do to your wife. And it is so easy. You just sit there and say nothing so that I just keep going and get madder and madder and madder. Ugh!! Boys. They are just so...so...I don't know what they are....but they are it. But it was a good argument. You know I also heard that arguing in front of your kids is a good thing so that they can see you resolve your argument instead of hiding your issues. I can't remember where I heard that but it was on the radio one day. I thought that was an interesting theory. Have fun with your BFF. I'm glad you are doing something so nice for her so that you guys can really sit back and enjoy each other. Have fun.

Linda - A keurig? I am so jealous. You and QVC. It makes me laugh on one hand but on the other hand you buy all the things I buy or want but at really good deals. There may be something to that. Hmmmm... I'm with Sally, don't let those kids tie you up. Maybe you should take some rodeo lessons and learn about calf roping and lassoing. I think those could be great skills for you to know these days.

Sally - Can I just say thanks for sharing Lillian with us on FB!! She cracks me up and Addie was watching her with me and wants to be her friend on Sunday apparently and was mad that I wouldn't let her skype her. She is sure they need to be friends right now. So, Happy Birthday Lillian and I am so glad that God decided to let her stay in our world. That had to be a hard decision for Him because I am pretty sure she would have them all rolling in laughter up there in heaven too. Glad she gets to do it here.

Kristy - That is too bad about the wedding. I'm sure the getaway would have been nice with hubby. Maybe you guys will need to plan a different getaway instead. The weather down here in NC is really nice right now too.
 
i wish we could....we got a trip planned for the ENTIRE family in December which is what makes it so i cant go next month...if we didnt have that planned then i could say "ohh well" to the price and suck it up but with us having to buy 6 plane tickets in december plus birthday/christmas presents...yea that is just asking too much *sigh* always something gets in the way of me getting a break
 
Hi everyone... surprise I am home :frusty: I begged hubby to let us go last night to the Mainland, but oh nooooo he wanted to wait. All the ferries cancelled because of the huge windstorm that they predicted last night, so we got up at 5am and drove to the ferry terminal only to find out that the first two sailings were cancelled, then we waited until 9:30 to find out that they were cancelled for the rest of the morning also, any later than the 10:30 sailing and we would not make it to the funeral anyway. I could so kill my husband right now!!!!! Everyone else went over last night, but I am sure that he wouldn't go just because he didn't want to have to put out cash for the hotel room. I could spit bullets right now! It takes a lot to make me mad, but boy this man of mine can really push the right buttons. I need :partywine and its only 11:00am. Sorry not in the mood for personals right now and :sorry: for venting to you all, but I had to or go :pout: somewhere and :hurt: Talk later.

OH MY GOODNESS CUTEST THING EVER THIS MORNING!!!!

So I got up this morning to relieve my poor bladder and Riley followed me back to bed. She normally can't sit still long enough in the morning to cuddle with me, but she got right under the covers and laid her head next to mine! Jeff called to talk on his ride home, he finally signed his papers this morning for the interim position and he found out that starting pay he'll be taking home about $450/mo more, after taxes. Before taxes it really is more like $800... ugh stupid taxes.

ANYWAYS on to the cuteness... Riley kept her head pressed against my phone so she could listen to her daddy talk!!! Then she tried to cuddle the phone and stuff. When he finally got home and made his breakfast & showered, he got into bed with us. He cuddled right up to him so he could hold her like a teddy bear and he INSTANTLY fell asleep!!!!! I KNOW he didn't take melatonin this morning... so the key to sleep is Riley???

The CUTEST part was... THEY SNORED IN SYNC WITH EACH OTHER!!!!! Sheesh it was adorable. I couldn't get over it!

She stayed in bed with him for about two hours, but now she's out in the living room with me.

I'll be back this afternoon for personals... I need to fire up the Keurig!!!

Nana Linda I'm so pumped that you got one !!!!!!!
 
MEG ... that is the cutest story ever!! I guess that's all you needed was to have Riley in bed with you! LOL
 
Trudy - you vent away. We all get to vent here and you get your turn too. This is a safe zone. I am so sorry and your husband is so lucky he is not my husband because I'd have made him row a boat. Big hugs!!

Meg - That dog. Such a silly little thing she is!!
 
Ha, Ha, Clara... I could just see my hubby rowing a boat across to Vancouver with the six foot high waves :pound:
 
Evening all - I hit the lottery today- they came to work on my basement- it has a new kind of stink- they tore out the carpets, they tore out the inside wall paneling because there was drywall behind it and it would not dry out. Then new stinky smell, they sprayed antimicrobial. I have 15 fans and 2 dehumidifyers running at least through friday. I am so happy. The giant wet dog and cat pee smell that was there this morning is gone. Now onto the next step- I am guessing that will be getting the insurance adjuster to come out so we can find out how much money we have to work with.
