Woweeeeee! We are halfway through March. This is one month I don't mind zipping by, because it gets me to Spring! When I let the dogs out yesterday, I saw bits of green poking up in my garden. I think the crocuses are getting ready! That just makes me happy to the core!!!!
I hope that this "Tick Incident" doesn't freak me out too much. Typically I say "Screw the ticks, I am gardening anyway" (as i cover myself with a can of tick spray LOL) but this tick bite freaked me out to no end.

I was so bummed that i missed Clara's chat. My house was really bad. I clean often but I decided to do the fingerprints on walls, polish the wood stairs- that kind of cleaning.

I knew if I stopped I wouldn't start again.

I wish that I could fill my cart up with yumminess, get to the checkout and be the 1,000,000th customer and get it all for free.

kristy, I am queen of bizzaro-dreamland hahaha! Last night I dreamed that I was teaching preK again, and my director had me reading some historical book that read like a Charles Dickens novel. There we all were, on a colorful carpet, as I am reading aloud about dismal poverty and corruption. And the director wouldn't let me stop when I said it was inappropriate for little ones. :loco:

Believe it or not, ticks can live all year round. They can survive under piles of leaves. Ravyn was running off in the woods the day before and wouldn't come back (bad doggie!) so i had to go and get her. It came in on either me or her.

Katrina- did you ever figure out the chat? If you have to install a plug-in and you have a pop-up blocker, you might need to disable it.

Sally- if I had to pick anything from that list- that is what i would have picked too. get some money, and read a book :D

Trudy- yes, that is it.The really
crappy thing is that ticks also carry co-infections such as Bartonella, babesia, mycoplasma, et al. Right now I am on abx that only treats Lyme bacteria. If I get bit by a tick that is carrying babesia, that requires a malaria-type Rx, then I can get that.Or there are hundreds if not thousands of different strains of Lyme bacteria, and if it has one that is resistant to the abx, i could get a variation of the Lyme I have right now.
Sooo, yes, that is why I am freaking out! LOL

Morning, girlies!! How is the celebrating going??? I'm up early because I am having lunch with my sil (and the babies!!) and a dear friend, so I had to take Mr Gorgeous in to his ride so I could have the car. He is sooooo ready to buy a new (used really) car so we don't have this car issue with three drivers!! :) One more month and then he can do it!! yipeeee!! I hope he gets a little wild convertible so he and I can take it on the road and throw caution to the wind and...okay...it's a little early for all of that talk!! teeeheeee!!!

I'm trying hard not to grab Cora's kindle and read all morning, but the temptation is HIGH (and the kindle is sitting right here!! lol!!!)...

btw, how do you girlies do it??? Get up this early, I mean??? Is today Local Nap Day??? I could sure use one!! :) already!! LOL!!

WOOOOOOOO!!!! I finally got some new appraisal report orders in!!! It's been over a month since I had to go into work. These appraisals can't be canceled on us either - they're for foreclosures and have to be done!!

I hope I'll remember how to do everything, and no brain farting!!! I'll see you all at tonight's chat hopefully!!!

Hi ladies!!!!

Okay the particulars on the new baby....His name is Griffen....and he weighed 8lbs 2oz. and was 21 3/4" long. Mom and baby are doing well!! I talked with Alison for a while this morning and she said she can already see that she is going to have to give some extra attention to Hayden. He has been the baby for 7 years. Poor baby has some adjusting to do. He had been so excited about the baby.

Other good news................I finally got to order my 50mm lens and it arrived just a few minutes ago!! YIPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEE!! Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday and Valentines day to ME!!!! HAHA!! this is why we don't buy for those other occasions....we save to get what we really would like to have.

Chris....I was out in the yard earlier and saw some of my itty bitty flowers poking up a little...SIGNS OF SPRING!!! love it!!! Speaking of the ticks....you will be happy to know that VA has launched a Lyme Task Force to cover the state and get some attention to Lyme desease. They were here in our town last night. They are hoping to get the info together from testimony and take it to the Govenors office to get more help. Sally.....I have to laugh when you ask about getting up so early....I have always done it!! I don't know how to sleep in!! When I do...I feel terrible!!! Ooooh I feel your pain on the driving situation. When Sharon first started driving..I was still working at the Honda Dealership and I got a car to drive everyday...so we had an idle car...but I quit just before Traci started driving...so we were back to two cars only (Sharon had her own by then)...Soooooo my resourceful little girl went to work and saved her money and bought herself a car at 16!!!

Hey ladies!! Been having a blast partying it up this week. Today I had to take a break though. Went to Raleigh to the Children's museum up there with a friend from Washington and her two kids...who is also stationed here with her husband. We had fun. Then we had some people over tonight to watch Idol. They don't have cable but want to watch. I know her from when we were stationed in Italy. It was fun.

Well, I am kinda in a poopy mood. My sister had someone send an anonymous letter to the state that was totally ridiculous and didn't get her into any trouble but was completely slanderous and cruel. So, I"m trying to get my brain wrapped around that and not be angry since it is stupid, nothing can be done, and she's not in trouble. It was just so unbelievably hurtful. So...trying to not be too...I don't know...grrr. So, I'm gonna go. I'll hop in here tomorrow. hugs!!
