Happy Hump Day!
It is gonna be a HOT :flame: one here in NJ. 94*...... our schools are not allowed to have fans b/c of fire codes. poor kids are dying in there! We got a msg last night that they are allowed to bring water bottles to class as long as they don't mess around with them. Only Elem, School kids are allowed to have water at their desks. Not in Middle or HS.

But Cait isn't going to school again. She is still feeling so weak and dizzy. I had to pick her up at 10:30 yesterday. And finals are next week. Ahhhh! I contacted her teachers to see if they could leave books/HW at the office and I'll pick stuff up on my way home from work. Have I ever told you all how much I hate Lyme?? Scott's had it too- with all of the pills he has to take. He'd been skipping again and he is not doing so great either.
My poor kids :(

I am off to work at MIL's today, hope to get outside and work in the gardens before it gets unbearable.

I wish there was a definitive test and cure for lyme and that money would go into researching it!

I hear ya- I love pics of people walking away- and baby feet- so far, every time I see my nephew, he has socks on. When I visit on Saturday, I am ripping them off.

Morning all- Chris, Trudy, Nana, LindaS, Clara and everyone else-

Triple H day- hazy, hot, humid- going to be a pleasure to be inside, that is for sure. Mr. Gorgeous might come home tonight- that would be nice, except I am working tomorrow- extra bucks and gets kids in that would not otherwise get seen. Excited that I have Fri & Monday off- very cool. We are going to the fabulous fifties fling- old cars and live band swing dancing and we will throw time with friends and winery tours in too!
 
stopping in before i have to take elyse to school and then helena to school...then i got to plant my pineapple.....and work in my garden....lots of weeds LOL....
 
Good morning...Happy Hump Day!! My favorite day of the week.

Today is the last full day of single parenting. I am soooooooo excited for Derek to get home. We've been doing okay but I prefer to be a full team for sure. He lost his credit card which was a pain but he worked it out. I will be glad when we get reimbursement for the trip. Hopefully it won't take very long at all. Losing his credit card means no more drinking..hehe!! I was picking on him yesterday and told him he needed to take the seminar seriously and not show up hung over everyday. He's a dork...but he loves to play. He is with a good group of guys though. He has 2 guys there with him and they are both good guys and they will all keep each other out of trouble.

So yesterday I was getting out of my car and slammed my knee into the electric box for trailers that we have in the car. It hurt like heck when it happened but by the time I went to bed it was fine...and then I woke up this morning and it HURTS!!!! It isn't swollen or anything so I won't be going to have it looked at but dang it hurts. I should put ice on it but I hate icing. I'll probably do it anyway. Or at least take some ibuprofen or something.

I got my new phone yesterday. I got the iPhone3. It was only $50 compared to the $200 for the 4. I looked at some cases at the store but the one I wanted was $50. Insane. So I came home and got online and found the same one only black and pink instead of just black for $15 and so i also got some screen protectors and a car charger and it was still under $20. Much better deal. So now I am trying to learn my phone. It is very similar to the iPad so that helps. I only got the little data plan so we'll see how that goes and if I can keep my data down. I just have to remember to use wifi as often as possible.

Well, that is my day.

Chris - what you are going through with your kids just breaks my heart. I can't even imagine how it makes your heart feel. I know how I feel when my babies are sick and I can only imagine it is that feeling times a zillion. I am praying for you and am here for you. I always have a shoulder for you. Hugs!!

Laurie - I totally understand that weather. I feel like we can't win here. It is either super cold or super hot. Well, that is not true, spring and summer are nice. But when it starts getting hot it gets and stays really hot and muggy and yuck!! I would love to give some of the heat away to whoever wants it. Last year when we got here it was 110. Yuck!! Oh, did you notice you have a title now? I told you I'd bug Vicki!! :)

Serena - It is a beautiful day and I plan on enjoying the day from inside. I can see the sun from in here. LOL!!

Kristy - Have fun in the garden. I hope you enjoy it...I don't but I love how nicely taken care of lawns and gardens look. I wish I had the desire to do the yard work.
 
Morning ladies ... Well I am off to work for a few hours today, I love my new position!! I do the cash deposits and work in the back office now and only have to be on the cash register to cover for one coffee break, so I now have my part time hours back Horray!!!! Then after work I am getting my hair done, trim and color touch up, man do I need it!! I look like a shaggy dog LOL.

Chris - glad that you enjoyed the sun that I sent your way, It ended up being a pretty nice day here and not the amount of rain that they predicted. My sister came for a visit, so I was not able to scrap as much as I wanted, but it will happen eventually?? Sorry your kids are not feeling well, it is such a helpless feeling when there is not much you can do to make it better for them. :hug: to you my friend.

Laurie - Your fabulous fifties fling sounds like it will be a great time!! Sample some wine for me too ok? Hot day for you! try to stay cool inside and help those kiddies out! Nice that your MG will be home with you!! Congrats on getting your new title!!

Serena - :wave: hope your day is grand!!

Kristy - You can grow pineapple??? I love pineapple, but do not have the climate here to grow it. Yes the weeds grow very well though! Have fun in your garden!

Clara - Ouch on the knee!! Sometimes the muscles get so stiff and sore after banging them up like that, take care of yourself, hopefully advil or something similar will help!! Horray on the new iphone! I have the iphone 4 but only because it was a great promo that the phone co. had. I love it and have so much fun facetiming with my kids and grandkids!! Being on Wifi really does help out a lot!! Hope that your day goes well!!

evening all - some days just suck and today was one of them. Just when I thought work was going to get better and I would have my therapy room separate from the rest of the dept so I wouldn't get bugged as much and could finish my work in a timely manner- it is not going to happen. So I left work 30 min after my day was officially done and left most my paperwork for tomorrow when I will get paid to do it, instead of staying late!
 
yep we can grow them here LOL weird huh? mom grew one when we were little...til the dog killed it haha
 
Oh Laurie...that's not good news about work! And Clara..not good about the knee in the trailer box. But Trudy, your news about work sounds good. Kristi...fresh pineapple...how cool? And Chris, I'm so sorry...just so, so sorry that the kids are going through this...which of course means you are going through it too!
