I am only going to wish everyone a good morning and then I have to sign off.

I am heartbroken and gutted by my country. I have no words, none that make any sense. Unless it is a curse-filled torrent of anger.

No one needs to see that, so :tape:

Love and light and all good things to you- the world needs that right now.

Quick personals:

Nancy- it was beautiful yesterday but darn it got cold overnight. I think the "worst" of the heat is over for now.

That sounds like cutting your nose to spite your face about the Caps nor giving the winning coach a raise/bonus.
No thunderstorms here, although I got a notice on my phone.

Trudy- I am happy that you were able to scrap a bit. I am finding it very hard to scrap pages for upcoming challenges now that we don't put them in the prep threads. I feel like I have no motivation to do them anymore. I liked seeing other samples to give me ideas on how I wanted to approach it.

Jean- happy belated birthday to your husband! Glad that the restaurant with the power was good.
I can't wait for Cait's DNA results to come back and compare here's with Scott's and mine.

Rae- How was your visit with B last night? I am happy that Taz keeps you smiling! I don't know what would do without my dogs.

Felis- Uh-oh! Bad, Biggie for digging!
I had to ask one of the cashiers where to find maraschino cherries yesterday, She had to ask 2 other people, but I eventually found them :)

Again-- I am sorry for my mood but know that I am sending hugs to you all!

Morning ladies... I will not be hiking today, it is very warm and the hike is way out on the West Coast of the Island to Port Refrew area. They are hiking the Avatar Grove, which is so very beautiful, but a few hours of driving each way. The road to get to the trail from the highway is horrendous and I am at least happy that I have done that trail before. I just don't want to spend most of my day driving to get to it. Here is a link for you to see what the ancient forest alliance is all about with some stunning views of the Avatar Grove it is quite lengthy but very interesting! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hg9dcc2WPjk
So instead today I will be doing some scrapping and making some blackberry pies and freezing them for dinner with our son and family this weekend. They are coming down to say good-bye to my brother and his wife. They have always been very close to them as they spent almost every summer playing with their kids, who now live in Australia.

Chris - I am so sorry that you are feeling so down today! I know how depressing it must be for you, but please don't dwell too long on things that are out of your control  Perhaps we need to talk to Ona again about the way we do the challenges, I kind of miss the way we used to have the prepping of the challenges too! Perhaps a vote is in order?

Jean - Happy be-lated Birthday to your hubby! I am so glad that you are out of your heat wave and enjoying the much more humane temps! Yes I am trying to deal with the family drama as best I can sometimes it is a challenge! LOL Glad that you are still having a good time with the history of your DH's great grandmother! Enjoy your day today!

Rae - I hope you and DH had a lovely visit with B! Hopefully you are seeing small improvements with her memory! Nice that you are able to have some quiet time walking with Taz, I bet he enjoys it too! Yes I think that I now am all set with clothes etc for our trip and swimming yesterday was very nice I got in my laps with only a few others there.

Felis - Oh bad biggie, :nono: on the digging in the flower bed!! Hope your Mom is not too angry with him LOL. Heathers tea party last night was not very successful but I will be ordering some things today and so will my one sister, so that is good. I hope that you continue to enjoy time outside in the garden! I think I will wait to take the photo with my new dress until after I get my cut and colored next week.

I need my second cup of coffee then I need to get an appt for a pedicure booked so I have pretty toes for my trip LOL. Have a great day everyone, even though the world seems to turning upside down in the U.S. :sorry:

Good morning, ladies. I just wanted to let you know that I won't be chatting for a few days. Just wanted to ask if you could send along prayers, good wishes, positive energy....whatever you can....for B. She is getting worse, the scarred damage to the behavioral part of the brain is extensive and the news isn't good about her prognosis. I am going to try to do a bit of scrapping, maybe edit some photos and putter around the house. I just can't talk right now.

Hope you all are well and know that I will be back to chat again when I am able to.

Have a great day, everyone.

Hello ladies,
OMG, I'm so excited! The dog is punished on chain, because of the hole from yesterday. So till I was in the garden with my cats I saw something to walk on a trail, go to see and OMG, one very small hedgehog! It's such a luck that dog wasn't free. Dad was here working on his car and I call him to come. He makes me this photo and go back to the car found one more baby hedgehog near to the fence. And he start to search and found 3 more. 5 baby hedgehogs, they are so adorable ! Then we we called mom and sis, and of course Tiny and Hunter comes also, and all was ''oh'' and ''ah''. Hedgehogs aren't scared at all and walked around us, but didn't eat the cat food we gives them. I was afraid Hunter to not hurt them, but she only smells one and go away from our noise. Tiny was on leash and better, because she can be hurt from their needle, and she wanted to pursue them.
I'm not sure what I have to do. Hedgehog population is in danger and law forbids to catch and own them. But I definitely not own them! They aren't prisoners, can left my yard and go to the near fields when they want. Looks like their mother is born and raised them in my garden, so we decided to left them choose. I don't want to risk to release them in fields where people use pesticides and teenagers hunts crows for fun. Dad check carefully and actually found adult hedgehog few houses away from us to eat fruits near to the fields. He wanted to bring her home, but I don't allow, first we aren't sure is she or he, second we aren't sure she is the mother, and third and most important never shouldn't catch and move wild animals, even the smallest :nono:. Will watch do she will come back to our yard for them. But for now we have to watch out where we steps at the dark, and we get the decision to not mower for this and next week.

Jean, this card for your husband is so beautiful! Excellent work!

Chris, so sorry you are in blue mood! I don't know what is happened, but sorry that you feels this way! Bad things never ends. Hope you'll can help! I read about the child separation, and how some volunteers will try to bring to these children, blankets, clothes and est. or to spend time with them to read and educate. But if it isn't in your area don't think it too much! Also it have petition, phone calls and donations (as you did for your bday).

Trudy, oh disappointing that Heathers beginning at the tea sale is was weak, but I'm sure she learns fast and next year at that time will be very successful seller! Did Canadians have tea culture as British?! We not :( . Uhh, bad that you have to skip hike, because of the hot! This place looks pretty! I watched the whole video and how sad that these giant trees are been cut off, but it's good that now people try to save what is left. And they are magical, like from fairytale, with these strange shapes.

Nancy :hello: .

Rae, so sorry to hear that! I don't pray now, but B have all good thoughts and vibes to which I am capable! Please do not despair! Medicine don't knows everything, she is young and strong and maybe will takes few more time, but she will have her happy end! ::grouphug:hug:::grouphug::grouphug

Nothing special today but yesterday was so nice for DH's birthday.

Felis, that photo is wonderful and how exciting to find all the baby hedgehogs. I don't know about them, but birds do find their young when people think they've been abandoned. Nice your whole family and some pets could enjoy seeing them. Thanks much for comments on the card for my DH. He really likes it too.

Rae, my thoughts and wishes are with you and your family in hopes B will be able to improve and keep herself together. Hope you can release some of your emotions in scrapping.

Trudy, that video is stunning. It is hard to imagine those trees and hurts to see all that have been cut. I'm so glad you get to be among them. Looks like some very smart people involved to engage folks with various interests. Meanwhile, bet the excitement for Paris is building. Thoughts of the blackberry pies have me drooling.

Nancy, your hockey pages are wonderful. Of course especially like the one for the Devils' win.

Chris, sorry things have overwhelmed you today. Do what you can and for the rest, I just don't know. :noidea: Wish you could scrap as therapy.
