The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Good morning, O-zies!!!

How are you all this fine morning? It's raining here. Again. At least it is supposed to warm up today. That's a plus.
It rained lightly most of yesterday, but wouldn't you know, that was the least of the issues on the field trip.
It. Was. A. Day.
I came home feeling like I was put through the wringer and I didn't have it as hard as some of the others. Initially, the trip was scheduled to start at 9.30. At the last minute, the school said they would be arriving at 9 so we all showed up at 8, did our prep, and went to the parking lot to meet the buses at 9. The buses didn't get there until almost 10. Not only were we behind schedule, we had to move 120 fifth graders from the parking lot to the Nature House, where we lock up any food items, then to the field for welcoming/rules/introductions before we split into our rotations. Because they were so late, Lauren had to condense two full rotations into one by combining two programs and then adding another stream study section.
Regrouped at lunch-- the intern who was working with me had to leave because he was sick, which threw afternoon scheduling off-kilter. But we made it through. It also brings a different meaning to No Child Left Behind when you have that many kids scattered through the forest. HA!!
We finish up and take a breather before we start cleaning our supplies and my coworker passed out. He has some unknown heart condition and has had several of these episodes which are getting more frequent. He sees a heart specialist in NYC and wears a "permanent" heart monitor to record these attacks. He was semi-conscious for~15 minutes and all we could do was make him comfortable on the floor. BTW-- he is 20.
The director called me last night to let me know how he was doing and wanted to make sure we were ok too.

So it was chaotic and stressful and wet. But like I said-- NCLB :floorlaugh:

I have a rough day ahead. Mouse is not doing well and I am bringing her to her regular vet this morning. Caityn has noticed a distinct progression of symptoms of a pituitary tumor. She is getting more uncoordinated and losing muscle tone rapidly. She typed up two pages of notes for me to bring to the vet and she gave me a few more updates to add just now. She has orientation and scheduling for new students and can't take any time off, which is making it even harder for her. She trusts me and the vet but Mouse is her baby.

I'll leave you with a happier note:
I scrapped this page for the Week 3 AJ Challenge:

And Weis posted this on the FB yesterday:

I shared this in the AJ thread but had to show it to you guys as well. I don't know if they even saw my LO but GMTA! Is it any wonder why I love working there (even when it is stressful and chaotic!)?

Wishign you all a wonderful day

@BoatLady :rotfl: Goats are crazy. LOL!
@AK_Tracy I hope today is better for you.. I had to laugh at your needing an Attitude Adjustment---that was the name of our boat. We named out camp trailer Land-A-Tude Adjustment
Love the names! You are so funny!!
You are so right Chris.... NJ weather has made me cranky too - it's so dreary, foggy and yucky. And it's endless......
Does not help with mood....
Hang in. Soon it will be 100º. :crying1:
So we go from being waterlogged from the rain to waterlogged from the humidity! My poor hair!!

And the BIG ONE... the kitchen chairs will be delivered this afternoon!!! Whee!!! :claphands: :girldance::dancing6: Of course, I still have to assemble the chairs... :wow2: DD#1 is still here and will help me do that chore! I am still gathering up stuff for the big "Bulk Pickup" by the trash co... Will wait to set up the date until we get everything gathered up. GSon#2 is going to come over and pull the hard drives out of old computers and destroy them. Also have a couple of VHS/DVD players that are kaput!!! The list just seems to grow and grow!!! :floorlaugh:
Yay for the new chairs and the family to help you assemble them. That's awesome that you have a bulk pickup day. Good luck getting everything out there that is ready to go to the Great Big Landfill In The Sky. :takingouttrash:

The kids will be here starting next week for a couple weeks of "grandma & grandpa summer camp".
That is soo exciting!
BTW- I am on their side, I hate being dragged around Home Depot too. Hate it. LOL
I have a bag of tomato fertilizer waiting to be added to the planters for a week now. The patio is getting repaired in 2-3 weeks so everything in the box planter has to get dug up. Guess I will wait until they go into pots, which will be as soon as it dries up a little.

I will certainly keep the family in my prayers today. What an awful time to have to go through. I can't imagine.
Oh this is going to be so hard for them. :heartpumppink: So many lives changed and ruined.

TY. I haven't heard anything yet. Caitlyn texted Scott last night but hadn't heard back from him.

Todays raining. Its over cast and feels gloomy in the house. My excitement yesterday was buying new kitchen trash cans. The others were smelling even when I washed them. Its crazy how the plastic takes on the smell even though its always in a bag. Yep that was my excitement. Todays about the same. I bought the kit Eye Catching and I love the eyes but I have no idea yet what I am going to do with it. It was an impulse buy and I keep looking at the fun eyes but what in the world will I do with it? I can wait for the challenge or AJ theme that sparks the "eyes". It will be fun to see what happens. Time for more coffee and bible reading. Have a wonderful day Ladies!
Yay for new trash cans.... :p
I am sure the eyes will be perfect for a cool AJ page. Or a scripture/song LO...

I guess shudl get off my butt and figure out what I have to do to get mentally ready for the day.

Hugs!

Yesterday was a very upsetting morning!!! Read all about it in the Chatter - under Latest Scam. I did not fall for it but it did scare me so bad I was shaking for most of the morning!!!

The good news was the chairs arrived... I was able to put one together while waiting for DD#1 and DD#3 and her son to get to my house. They helped assemble the other 3 chairs. Grandson also took hard drives out the old computers so it is safe to dispose of them. Right now, the living room is full of the old chairs and the big boxes the new chairs came in. GS will be back down to cut the boxes down so they can go into recycle pick-up.

I am taking today off to rest and recover from yesterday... Plan on reading and/or watching movies.

Good morning Ladies

So it was chaotic and stressful and wet. But like I said-- NCLB :floorlaugh:
Yeah that. you didn't leave anyone behind but what a day! Its so frustrating when they call and say we'll be early then are actually later then originally planned. What a way to end the year.

Oh Kay, that had to be terrifying. Im so glad you realized it was a fake and your daughter is safe and sound. I Hope you have a chill day today reading and just relaxing.

Its sunny again today. Should be a good day to read outside. Suppose to be low 70°s today. Makes me want to do laundry just so they can hang outside to dry. Off to grab more coffee. Have a wonderful day!!

Wow @faerywings Love your green thumb page! good luck with sick rat.
OMG your day at work yesterday sounds scary and so dramatic. I give you so much credit dealing with all those kids and you didn't even loose any.

Rain last night. It's another gloomy day here in CT...I love Florida weather and miss the sun. I guess it is getting better later in the week. The calendar is full this week with meeting friends and family. Grocery store and RX. Tonight we will have dinner with oldest grandchild at her favorite pizza place. Good thing we are coming back in August for 2 more weeks.

@MariJ Sunny Florida is coming your way, might have humidity but at least it will be cheerful warm sun.

@Terri M I used to do that same thing when the grands were smaller...a week on the boat so it was so different from home. Your grands will have such wonderful memories.

Good morning ladies. I'm home today, no games, will take the dogs for their yearly wellness check at a new vet so hopefully the dogs like it there. I'll bring treats in case they don't leave any out (but if they don't, that is a strike against them IMO). I will get a scrap page done today and then back to jewelry design. My next market is in 2 wks and it'll be a big one, they estimate over 2500+ people attending. I think next year I will only book 3-4 markets for the summer months so I won't be as busy. I'm a bit worried about how much I sell at this next big one b/c I still have 3 more so might still need to stockpile a bunch more. No complaining b/c its fun and I'm learning lots and making money but still...I need to enjoy the rest of my life too. Life sure isn't boring :)

We also have to look at what trip we want to take in the late winter/early spring and use up our Westjet credit for air travel. I need to get in to see a travel agent and talk about possibilities. We have a new expedia office here so I want to check them out. We've always been happy with them in BC.

We started watching Destination X reality show with Jeffrey Dean Morgan. We are enjoying it.

@faerywings Sorry to hear about little Mouse. That LO describes you perfectly!

@BrightEyes Scammers are getting worse and worse. Glad you figured it out.

@BoatLady I know I've said it before but I'll say it again...you have the best life! Your summer travels sound like so much fun!

So we go from being waterlogged from the rain to waterlogged from the humidity! My poor hair!!
:crying1: :D You're right! I feel like a big sopping mess no matter what. This morning with the humidity and peek of sun at 5:30, I pullied up my shade and the window was totally fogged over, my goodness.... And here we go with the heat now. :waving2::heartpumppink:
