Halfway point through June- 10 more days til school is out. Then summer vacation!
(who is going to bet how many days it takes for the Faery to want to duct tape her kids' mouths shut with everyone being home together?

It looks like it is going to be a gorgeous day today. I am off to MIL's today- *fingers crossed I get to play in the dirt*

WWW:
I wish I had a million dollars. i really do....

personals:

laurie- how is your ear feeling today? Hope it is better.

Serena- congrats on the promotion!!!

Trudy- how did your day and the weather turn out? Hope it stayed nice!
I wish I had your insurance too. How do they treat Lyme in Canada? Is it as big of a political mess as it is here?

Clara- oh the joys of summer vacation hahahah!!
Duct tape sounds better and better, doesn't it? :tape:

Lyme treatment is crazy. In a nutshell- there are two "camp" IDSA and ILADS. IDSA has huge vested/financial interest in a short course of treatment to a very narrowly definition of the disease. they don't believe in chronic Lyme and they have the full support of the insurance industry who do not want to pay for long term treatment.
ILADS speaks for the rest of the Lyme community and tried to provide resources to patients and doctors who are caught up in the mess and desperately need treatment. There have been many cases of dr's being brought up before medical bs and losing their licenses becasue they will treat with long term abx.
That is why they have to fly under the radar (like I will never post my llmds names online- I refer to them as Dr. F or Dr B) and why they cannot take insurance.
Its just horrible and the patients- who really don't have the energy and financial abilities to fight all of this are caught in the middle.

It makes me angry and bitter but I have to be strong for my family's sake as well as for my own.

Linda S! Wow, that is one heckuva workout- how are you feeling today? Take a bath in epsom salts if you are really sore.
Thanks for the goood thoughts to!

eeeeeep! Super late. (See what happens when you ask me a question re: lyme, i go on and on and on and on.... LOL)

xoxo have afab day!

hey guys...quick hi for me...I'm off on another marathon working day (quilting, cleaning, and shopping at the grocery store!!).

I'm sorry I've been soooooo MIA...trying to fit everything in lately has been murder!! But I'm thinking of you every day!! for sure!!! :) hugs

love you all!!

Morning lovely "O" ladies!! A sunny day so far this morning and I am off to work for 5hrs today, so I will be home this afternoon to hopefully get some scrapping time in and get some CT work done also.

Chris - My day was great yesterday, long but still a great day and the weather...well it turned ugly and windy and cloudy, but no rain. Lyme disease is treated very much like everything else here, if you need meds, then you get them with no cost for the dr. appts and usually any kind of antibiotic is covered by your health care, except in some cases where the drug is extremley expensive then you will pay for a portion of it. All Drs. must report any cases of Lyme to Health Canada and I was just reading where they are now funding a new study on the cases of lyme and researching the ticks, as more and more cases are being reported, especially out east. Here is a link to some info, I am sure that there is much more out there!! http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/id-mi/lyme-fs-eng.php#s6 . Anyway hope that your day goes well and that everyone in your house is feeling a bit better today!!

Sally - How nice to see you pop in here to say hi!! We miss you, but know how busy life can be!! Have a great day!! Gotta run and get ready for work. :bolt:

Hello, nearly empty Daily O's!! Where is everyone at today? I am always glad to see my girls Chris, Sally and Trudy though. Today was good but by the end of the day I was quite cranky. I think just because I am STARVING!! Stupid dieting...always leaves me wanting to eat EVERYTHING!!! But I HAVE to fit into a much smaller size if I am going to be my sister's Matron of Honor. No way am I buying a dress at the size I am. Eeeeek!! So, to be successful I have to be extremely regimented or I will never succeed. If there is any wiggle room that little bit of wiggle room turns into a giant amount of cheating and I fall on my face having wasted days of not eating what I want. Thank goodness for jello and pickles though.

So, enough about my diet woes...slightly whiney, sorry. Today me and Derek had the worst misunderstanding. He called me to say he was going to come by the house so we could carpool to a cookout for his work(really he just wanted to drink beer but doesn't drink when motorcycling). I had just put the kids in the car and Addie was being especially difficult so I didn't want to unload them so I was trying to come up a reason to go to the store or something. he took it as "No, don't come home" but that was never specifically conveyed. So, I took the kids to the store then came back to the house and we sat in the driveway waiting for him to never show. Total bad communication apparently. But it all worked out in the end. It ended up working better because I left before he was ready. Good thing he had his bike.

I have my sister's Bridal Shower invites all ready to mail out tomorrow. I found cute stamps and everything. I'm glad to finally have that done. It had my mom all stressed out. Things are finally starting to come together for the wedding. My sister is currently trying to come up with how the ceremony will go. One of her best friends is going to marry her. That should be fun. She is trying to figure out how to incorporate some Spanish into the wedding without it being just translated. I think she is going to say her vows in Spanish. He's nervous about saying his vows apparently (in English) so I suggested that she say hers in Spanish. I think it would be kinda cool. Plus she'll be as self conscious about it as he will and that could help him feel more comfortable about it. We'll see.

Okay, well...I am going to give some love real quick and go.

Chris - Thanks for the explanation about Lyme docs. What kind of docs do the Lyme docs tend to be? I was wondering about that. I hope you got to spend some time in the dirt today...and yes. I love duct tape. We have a lot of it around here and threaten to use it OFTEN!!!

Sally - I have missed you!! I hope you are able to find balance in all the craziness. Hugs!!

Trudy - I hope you enjoyed the sunshine today. I've heard the PNW has been cold and rainy so I would assume it is similar up there. I just hope it warms up by July. Did you get some scrapping done?

evening all- waiting for mr gorgeous-his day was much longer than I expected. I have tomorrow off. Lots of conflama-drama in his family- one of his sisters has pancreatic cancer- she lives in another state, is unemployed, uninsured and lived a very different lifestyle. Her future daughter in law is trying to help her, but it is a mess and they can't afford everything needed to pay for her needs. One sister is trying to gather money from everyone- however she is driving us nuts- we already decided what we were going to do - it involved paying off a future honeymoon for the future daughter in law- so they can use money for more immediate needs. We tried to keep it a secret, but the healthy sister made that impossible with things she said in multiple emails sent to every family member. My husband refuses to talk to her. It is such a mess. Today she sent an email about one other brother and my husband fronting the cost of a funeral for not yet deceased sister with cancer. I am seeing a pattern of poor female genes and am thankful I have boys, not girls. I also wonder if healthy sister is on crack or meth or both- just kidding, but needed to get this off my chest before mr. gorgeous gets home. Life- always interesting. My ear has been fine- thanks for asking!
