Polar Vortex, shmolar shmortex!!!!
When is summer???????????????
I think that I heard on the radio that is was 7 degrees in Alabama, could that be true? We got up to 8 yesterday and man, it was brutal to be outside. We should be having a heat wave (ha!!) of 20* today and hopefully no wind. But wow, the poor people in the south, so not used to that, I bet. And my heart just *breaks* for the homeless people. There have been emergency shelters opening up all over but still, I am sure that there are still a lot that won't go. Or even how "good" that even is.
What are your tricks for staying warm?
Diane- are you still having that warm weather? Its crazy all over, isn't it?
Laurie- good to hear that you were able to stay hoe. And I am really glad that parents are realizing not to bring their little ones out unless they have to.
Your house is going to be cleaned and purged in no time!
Phyllis- my windows too! I shrink wrapped a few of them and I had to scrape the frost off of the insides before I could do that. Isn't that the irony-- such low humidity with the heat pumping non-stop, but just enough to make ice *inside* your windows
Nancy- did you make it to your game w/o turning into an ice block?
I have never eaten Indian food. On the same page as Phyllis, I think. I went through and Asian food phase and now I have a lot of those spices sitting in my cabinet and no one will eat any stir-fry any more.
Trudy
But sending hugs!!!!!!!!!!
Sandra- hope you ahd a great days with the kids and that the drafts got all plugged!
Jean- omg- that must have been scary to have no heat. My MIL had problems with her furnace yesterday too. eek! Glad it went back on quickly!!!
P- I made Baked Potato Soup for dinner last night- between the oven baking the potatoes and the soup itself, it wasn't so bad in the kitchen
Sandy- Ooooh, lucky to have 50's! But that must be like ice to you down there!
Warm and cozy hugs to you all!!!!!!!!
