Brrrrr! Its dang cold out there this morning. 9*!!! I am NOT looking forward to going out there. I was supposed to go food shopping this morning, but I am holding off to tomorrow. I kind of needed to anyway, but the weather sealed the deal. My mom's 70th b-day is Sunday and my dad, my brother and I are putting a little dinner party together for. but none of the catering places are calling me back, so we are still up in the air as to what to eat.
Today I am going to have to settle down and figure out what needs to be done.
I also need to finish getting the boxes of christmas up into the attic. Gary was helping me yesterday, then he threw his back out. Ya can't win, some days :israel:

I wish I lived somewhere warm.
I want my Spell Check to stop acting wonky!
I wish I had answers in life. not all, that would be boring, But just a few would be a nice start.

have a great day and everyone in the Northeast, stay warm!

PS: I really wish I had a fireplace! I miss our wood stove lots.

Hi Laurie! How was back to work? Keep on moving and walking, you are doing great!!

Linda S- That is really cool that YMG is taking your niece to caucus. I think it must be a great experience. How many states caucus as opposed to Primary voting? You always hear about Iowa since you are first. It is always nice to see young people being interested in our country, although I think I have created a monster with Scott. he gets on his soapbox 100 times more (and louder) than me. LOL
IMHO- you and the kids are doing something even better ATM, albeit ironic :). What a wonderful thing you are teaching them.

Fran- are you telling me that the mood swings only get worse???????
:faint:

Maureen- good for you, with your walking and yoga plan. i wish I could join you!

Phyllis- how sweet that you girls get together to talk. Must be so nice.
Wish I lived closer I could share some of the wood that is all over my lawn. We had an enormous tree that was dead and the town finally came and took it down. needed crane to get to it. ATM, the big pieces are all over my lawn. But better on my lawn neatly than on my car.

Trudy is back!!!!!I did miss you but I didn't want you to feel guilty and miss one minute of being with your fam :D

Yvon, i shouldn't laugh but I had to over drying your groceries with a towel.LOL

Maureen- apple cider vinegar is a great detox-er. You need to get unpasteurized ACV that has the "mother" in it. Its supposed to be really good for you metabolism. You can take acv as a "shot" but its rough on the stomach and teeth.

Gotta run, its going to take a long time to get the car warmed up!

Have a fab day xoxo

Good morning Chris. We have had such a great winter here...it is 36 this morning and with windchill feels like 27. No snow on the ground. Supposed to hit 46 and sunny today and then tomorrow is supposed to be 55. Now that is just crazy in Iowa. But I will take it.

And starting today...no more phone calls. All of the candidates have pulled out of Iowa. :) Brian went to the caucus with my nephew as planned. And I took the kids and we helped cook supper at the homeless shelter. My kids do such a terrific job. Sydney passed out pudding cups and Shaun did the rolls. At the end, Shaun asked if we could do it again. Truly one of the best things that I've ever done as a volunteer. It always feels like I am really making a difference!!

Well, I need to head to the gallery for a few minutes, then up to the shower. But I can't resist just one more cup of coffee first!

Chris, good luck on that party planning!

Chris, ya want MY wood stove?? in weather like this, i feel like all i do all day is feed the thing. it's freezing cold here, too, but at least we didn't get the 18 inches of snow they got a few hours north of me.

i think i have some cleaning to do today. i haven't touched anything but bathrooms since Christmas. then i have to get out of the house. i've been stuck in here for two days!

happy Wednesday, everyone.

LindaS, sounds so good volunteering at the homeless shelter! I only see that in movies  I'm not sure if we have something here close by.

Chris, you can laugh!! I found it funny after I finished LOL But not at the moment itself. My oldest DD is lucky, we get lasagna today, because that box was soaked! I only need to buy the minced meat. I didn't buy that one yesterday, because I was not planning the lasagna for today LOL

Phylis, I love woodstoves also! But maybe that's because we don't have one? I think it's cozy :D

I'm making a photobook about the funeral of my grandmother. It maybe sounds weird. But she was so cool, and deserves a book. That is my thought about that :D I'm also making it for my mother and sister :) I uploaded it into a private album here in the gallery. With password. Now I'd like to show it to the people that are active posting at the forums. And the desingers which stuff I used.
Any ideas on how to do that? If I post the link with password, than probably "the whole world" can log into my private album. And that is what I don't want.

Morning all - brr cold here- have my walk in, made it through work yesterday and got all my paperwork done ( did take me an hour & half over sched time- gotta love being salaried). I have a full line up today. I am not letting any holes get in my schedule because they put adults on me- arghh- nothing against you big people, but I prefer people who enjoy my singing! I need to run and have breakfast- hope to stop back in tonight.

Morning all... off to work for a few hours and then to my sister's Its her birthday today and I haven't seen much of her lately so better get my butt over to her place. My house is so quiet now and empty without the giggles and little Sadie's constant jabbering it is lonely in the house! (better stop or the water works will start again!!:hurt: )

Chris - Hope the catering company gets back to you! And I hope that one day you get to live somewhere nice and warm with a view of the beach!!

LindaS - Bet you are glad that the phone has stopped ringing!! How great are you guys for working at the the homeless shelter !! You rock!!

Phylis - I cleaned all day yesterday but still haven't touched the bathrooms, after 13 people being here for a long period of time, my house was a disaster area!! Hope you get out for a while today!

Yvonna - Your photo book sounds like a very nice idea! I'm sorry I can't help you with your private gallery thing, perhaps if you send a pm to Vicki, she can help you out with that?

Maureen - Good luck with your day of clucking!! LOL! Have a great one!

Laurie - good for you for getting your walk in already, I really have to hit the pavement again or the treadmill. We have had such mild weather that I should be outside walking, but the :rain: is unstoppable and it looks like its here to stay for a while yet.

Have a great day everyone and see you later!

I'm not feeling well. I've been watching TV all day - the one lousy program after another. I'm cold and tired. I think it's just because it's my special time of the month ... at least I hope so, cuz I do not want to get a cold!!!

Yesterday, all day went to taking care of DH. He's been having problems with pain in a body part I don't know what it's called in English, and he went to the dr yesterday. He couldn't find anything, prescribed some pain meds. There will be further investigation into it, but we have to get the files from another dr before (from where we used to live before we moved to this town).

ok ... the dictionary says the body parts name in English is groin. Sounds weird, but hey, it's a weird part LOL

Anyway - since I cut my finger on New year's eve ... we're like totally useless both of us right now LOL

PS. We have three fire places

always chatty at the O!!
Hey ladies!!

So, I had this dream last night and was checking the Daily O's and Chris had posted that I had abandoned every one in here so I thought that was my self conscious saying...get your butt back into the dailies. LOL!!

I really only have a few minutes while Addie is getting dressed and then we are going grocery shopping. She missed school today because we just slept through it. We are having so much trouble getting back onto EST schedules. Poor Ethan has been a mess the past two mornings going to school. Tonight we'll be drugging the kids with benedryl by 7. I can't stand to see Ethan so miserable. He cries and everything...although that's not saying much. He cries at the drop of a hat these days. So much so that he's started to get in trouble when he cries...something I always thought I would encourage. I just didn't realize he'd cry everyday about silly stuff.

Well, Addie i taking way too long to get dressed. I'm sure she is making a mess and I don't want to see it so I'll do some personals real quick...

Chris - I'm not abandoning the Daily O's I promise. Weird dream. So....that is too cold. It has been really cold here the past few days. When it gets cold here it feels colder than it is because there is so much moisture in the air. It is just bone chilling. And your weather is just really that cold. Only a couple more months for you though. I hope. I think you need to get yourself a motorhome and homeschool your kids so that you can travel south for the winter. I'd tell you that you could come here...but you know how I feel about this miserable town. Blech!! Florida would be nice though.

Linda - That is so cool about volunteering at the shelter. Much more selfless than my volunteering. I'm volunteering with the hopes of getting a job. What a great experience to share with your kids. And have I mentioned how great it is to see you in here?

Phylis - I know what you mean about feeling like you are always filling the woodstove. We used our fireplace for heat most of the winter when I was younger and we were always having to bring in more wood and always adding it to the fire. We used a lot of free wood, which was pine and it would burn so fast...hot...but fast.

Yvon - Lasagna sounds yummy. I need to read about what happened to your groceries yesterday. Sounds like a bit of an adventure. I don't have an answer on your gallery issue...but I am working on it. I'll keep you posted.

Maureen - Have fun at the library. Sounds interesting. I hope you get done what you need to.

Laurie - I hope you only see little ones today. Big people are just not as much fun. I love doing pediatric x-rays. You are so awesome getting your walking in. We have a community center with a free gym here and I just don't use it. I really need to.

Trudy - I'll bet my mom is feeling the same way with us gone. My dad always complains about our messes while we are there but I know he misses them when they are gone. Have a great day at work.

Alrighty ladies...I hope everyone has a fantastic rest of your day.

always chatty at the O!!
Eva - your poor husband. That kind of pain is rough. Sometimes all you can do is wait for it to pass which is not fun. I hope you start feeling better.

Oh dear...Addie has come up with another of her outfits. This girl kills me with her clothes.

Hello again...

Back from the dusty make-me-sneeze magazines! Fortunately, no inmates wanting help with the legal tomes. Just one poor guy needed a xerox. Lots of restacking the shelves and cleaning up the piles of magazines. No brain power needed just a lot of sorting. But paper dust? the volunteer coordinator and I were feeling like we needed a shower. But I left the magazines tidy and have one I'm reading over the week. Spirituality and Health - with an article on The Wheat Belly, all about how the current f*d up wheat is just not digestible. Never heard of the magazine, but like it.

Got some packing to do and all the little chores round here. Next hello will be from San Francisco. Try to stay warm my peeps ...and scrap away!

LOL I totally understand this! Imke was doing the same a while back. The worst thing, she didn't take it easy out of her closet, she teared all the clothes together, put it back inside on a big pile:yell:
Lucky me she is over it now!
