Guess what??
I SLEPT!!!!!!
I feel 99.9% human today.
It is a day for celebrating! LLMD visit was very helpful. She agrees that I do not have an active Lyme infection Whew. However, she was concerned about my insomnia and how sleep deprivation affects the immune system. There is evidence that Lyme bacteria hides in a cyst form in the body and that when the conditions are right, it can reactivate. That is why I use the word "remission" rather than cured, with Late Stage/Chronic Lyme.
She re-prescribed the meds I was on, which my GP (understandably) would not prescribe. What a difference. For real. I was only sleeping solidly for a few hours each night- maybe 10- 1 am if I was lucky and the rest of the night was broken/fitful sleep. The first time I remember waking up last night was after 3 am and then I was able to get right back to sleep. She also increased my Zoloft dose to get me through the winter and Seasonal Affective Disorder.
I have some conflicting emotions about this, I hate taking meds and was really proud/pleased that I was able to come off of the sleeping Rxs. But I also like sleep. Sleep is important. And good. Not sleeping is awful. So back on the meds, it is.
I am off to the derm this morning to get a small bump on my ear checked out. I don't think it is anything serious but it hasn't gone away since I first noticed it this summer. Better safe than sorry. I am meeting my mom afterward since the Dr is about 10 minutes from her. She sounded in a better mood last night, I ordered new phones for them when they were here Sunday and they already got delivered. Plus the new doors are getting installed today *knocks wood* so those were two big things that were making her and my dad stressed and bicker-y.
Hope you al have fun today!
