Guess what??
I SLEPT!!!!!!
I feel 99.9% human today.

It is a day for celebrating! LLMD visit was very helpful. She agrees that I do not have an active Lyme infection Whew. However, she was concerned about my insomnia and how sleep deprivation affects the immune system. There is evidence that Lyme bacteria hides in a cyst form in the body and that when the conditions are right, it can reactivate. That is why I use the word "remission" rather than cured, with Late Stage/Chronic Lyme.
She re-prescribed the meds I was on, which my GP (understandably) would not prescribe. What a difference. For real. I was only sleeping solidly for a few hours each night- maybe 10- 1 am if I was lucky and the rest of the night was broken/fitful sleep. The first time I remember waking up last night was after 3 am and then I was able to get right back to sleep. She also increased my Zoloft dose to get me through the winter and Seasonal Affective Disorder.
I have some conflicting emotions about this, I hate taking meds and was really proud/pleased that I was able to come off of the sleeping Rxs. But I also like sleep. Sleep is important. And good. Not sleeping is awful. So back on the meds, it is.

I am off to the derm this morning to get a small bump on my ear checked out. I don't think it is anything serious but it hasn't gone away since I first noticed it this summer. Better safe than sorry. I am meeting my mom afterward since the Dr is about 10 minutes from her. She sounded in a better mood last night, I ordered new phones for them when they were here Sunday and they already got delivered. Plus the new doors are getting installed today *knocks wood* so those were two big things that were making her and my dad stressed and bicker-y.

Hope you al have fun today!

@LSlycord hahaha!! Did Syd think you would forget to feed the dogs, or is she looking for any excuse to chat with you? *G* Your poor dogs must miss her too.
How wonderful and exciting to see the whale migration!! Did you get to see any and take pictures yesterday? I would love to see something like that -- wow!!

@BrightEyes I hope you are feeling better today. The stress of the last weeks must have left you run down. So sorry that you missed lunch with the girls

@taxed4ever I am just so darn happy to see you back ♥
How was the day with Linda, it must be fun shopping and not having to worry about your own credit card bills LOL
Love your new siggie!

@bcgal00 Oh no, poor Remi! J gets that rumbly tummy every few weeks and won't eat for the day. Nothing ever comes of it and she sure as heck isn't losing weight. Hope she is back to herself today. Do you think she missed Jen and Bella?
6 is ancient for a computer, *fingers crossed that it holds out until you get a new one*

@Lynn Grieveson ahhhhh! You have moved 30+ times!!!!?????!!!! I would never be able to do that. Not in a million years. This house is only the third place I have lived, not counting college houses.
Good luck getting settled in and have a wonderful time being able to visit your parents more often

@Cherylndesigns did you sleep better last night? What a mess of a few days for you and your computer. I bet you are missing relaxing scrap time. I wonder if the PSE Warp is like PS Puppet Warp, which uses pins and can be fun as well as a total PITA. I wouldn't want to have to use it all of the time, for sure.
I hope that the PSE version you are using now works out for you.

Off to get my day started, I have to leave here in two hours. I have to pay bills before I leave and that entails leaving lots of time to "Curse and Calm Down."
:p

Morning, all. I did sleep better last night. Yesterday the headache tapered off around noon but left a slight ache until I woke up this AM.
I mainly rested and read the day away. Even napped for awhile in the afternoon. One of the gals called me in the late afternoon to see how I was doing and let me know where the next 2 gettogethers will be. I did upload a few new release LOs that I made over the past weekend.

Need to pay a few bills and if I feel up to it... go to the grocery store. No milk, no creamer, no fresh fruit.... I can live without the milk and fruit for a few more days - but I need my coffee creamer!!! LOL And I need to pick up mail before the box is stuffed full. I should go this morning before the winds get bad this afternoon.

Will try to do personals later on today. HAGD

Morning everyone! It is a dark morning, but hopefully it will brighten up soon! Yesterday was a fun day of going through a lot of samples of countertop and choosing a new sink and faucet for SIL Linda. We both loved the same sample, so that was easy and she decided to go with a less expensive material for counter top. What a difference in prices between stone countertops and laminate! Although the stone is so beautiful, it just wasn't in her budget to get that. So she choose the laminate and it really does look just like the stone, they have come a long way since way back in the 80's LOL. So for helping her out Linda took me to brunch, how nice!! We went to Brunch on 3rd. A fav place for DH and I and Linda had never been there before. She loved it and now it is her fav place too. ♥ Opps Heather is face timing so I will return for personals in a bit

Good morning ladies. Today I will call a few computer places and see what they say about the possibility of putting in a new driver or if the system is too old to upgrade. I will probably have to bring the system in for them to look at it soon. When it goes in for servicing, I have a laptop to get online with but its too old to run PS so no scrapping on it. Fingers crossed this all gets figured out quickly and I either get it fixed or I find a good price on a new one.

Jen will be home late tonight. The dogs are missing them, looking out the window for her and hyper alert for the sound of her car. Remi perked up by mid morning yesterday. I think she was just boycotting the dog chews to show how unhappy she is with Bella and Jen gone. I played with her and she started to perk up by mid morning. The dog park is especially necessary each day Jen is gone b/c Remi doesn't get her usual play time with Bella which wears off some of her energy.

@faerywings Fingers crossed the door is coming today. That should ease a lot of their tension. Glad the Lyme is under control. Thank goodness you have the medical care where you are. I'm glad your doctor is focusing on your sleeping. I can't get any assistance managing mine but at my age, I don't care anymore, if I sleep I sleep, if I don't, oh well LOL. That's sort of my mantra this year, whatever happens happens, I'm not going to worry about anything. Head in the sand works, right? LOL.

Remi is whining to get out and feed the birds and, of course, play ice hockey with her. Then I can come in and get more coffee and get on with my day. Send positive thoughts about my computer problem please. HAGD everyone.

Sorry I'm so late getting in here today. We didn't go to see the whales yesterday so we got up this morning and drove down. It was a beautiful morning. No whales but did see dolphins dancing out on the water. A 21 ft Orca whale beached and died this morning. I've only seen the photos on FB because they were trying to remove the Orca and they were asking people to give them space.

But an absolutely beautiful morning! Had breakfast at one of our favorite restaurants in Flagler Beach...it overlooks the ocean. The sun was shining off the waves. So I'm in a happy mood. Lots of good, high quality Vitamin D today.

@faerywings yay for no active Lyme and double yay for sleep. And so glad that your folks have a new door being installed today. Something for them to feel really good about! And, yes, I think that Sydney believed that I would forget to feed the dogs. LOL

@BrightEyes glad that the headache is gone! Hope you were able to get out and get that coffee creamer!

@taxed4ever what a fun morning that you had yesterday looking at countertops with you SIL. I agree, spending someone else's money is much more fun!

@bcgal00 fingers crossed on the new computer. I'm glad that Jen will be home tonight...then the dogs can settle in to their norm.

Ok...got to go. I've just re-read the timeline for Karen's pre-release request and it was 6-8 am, not pm. I'm definitely late!

Whew that took a while to get back here LOL. I had a nice chat with Heather and then got into the shower and got ready for the rest of the day. I made a pot of Broccoli Cheddar Soup in my instant pot Yummmm!! So back here for personals and then I must get a card made for my sister Pam's granddaughter Bella.

@faerywings - so happy to hear that your Lyme is still in remission! Lets hope its gone forever!! Probably a good thing to get back to your Rx for sleeping, you need good sleep, we all do. However I am like Rae and if I get a good sleep than hooray if not oh well, try again the next night LOL. I have to stop worrying about everything and then I know the sleep will improve. Yes it is so much more fun to shop with someone else credit card!!

@bcgal00 - You will be relived to have Jen home safe and sound! Sure hope the roads are better than when she left! The dogs will be so happy to see her and Bella! I will keep my fingers crossed for you that the computer issues get resolved. You might want to look at Best Buy online for a refurbished pc, they have a ton of them and the prices are great! We got one for FIL for just under $200, but like my son told us don't get one with under 16GB of Ram and they come with at least a one year warranty. DH has a refurbished PC also and its over a year old and running really fast and works great! His was only $200 and rated as refurbished- Excellent. Sending positive vibes your way for a quick fix!

@LSlycord - That is so sad to hear about the beached Orca!! We have several dead Humpbacks in our waters, most likely from freighter strikes. So very sad!! Glad that you got a good dose of Vitamin D and that you got to go to a fav restaurant overlooking the Ocean! Enjoy the rest of your day!

Ok DH will be home for lunch before I know it and I really need to hit the craft room to get the card made. Hope you all have a lovely Wednesday!

Good afternoon. I started to sign in here and Adrienne and the "girls" - 4 legged ones, came over. Then I decided to start taking the decorations down. I got everything off the tree and all the other decorations put in their boxes. Adrienne's coming back down and taking the tree apart and then we'll start the box moving up to their house. I told Chuck that we were going to not only mark the boxes this year, but we're going go number each one and make a master list so that next year, I know exactly what we took up there. Then I went outside and cleaned up the front porch a bit. I swept the leaves off of it and cleaned up the gardens a little. I don't want to talk about the back patio yet. It's a mess out there. The base-less tree is out there in the box, and we need to haul that down to the dumpster. The cat loves to lay in it, though. Haha

Well, thanks to the input here and in the thread, I started in the forum, I've decided to keep PSE 2020 and try to get a big monitor and hook it up to my laptop. I don't know how to do that, but Braden does. He's our resident IT guy. He'll even tell me exactly what I need to get. I also ordered my great granddaughter's 2nd birthday gifts from Amazon and will have them delivered to her. Her birthday is the 29th. Her mom keeps a running wish list on there, so it's easy peasy.

I've been working on the Mixed Media challenge for January and not in love with it, but I'm about done messing with it. Haha I started it yesterday and keep changing things. I need to stop.

Chris @faerywings I'm so glad you got your meds again. I did sleep better last night, thankfully. Dealing with computer and program issues is the worse. I know it messed me up, mentally.

Linda @LSlycord that's so sad about the Orca, but how lucky to live that close to be able to see the whales and Dolphins In the winter, the dolphins put on quite a show right about by the pier on Sanibel. We used to enjoy seeing them so much when we vacationed there at Christmas time.

I'm going to stop now - sorry for no more personals - it's four o'clock and I need to get off here, after I decide if I want to post my MM layout.

XOXO
