Happy happy Wednesday!!!Halfway through the week, even though its like a Double Monday for my kids. Nothing like having a 4 day weekend and then it is that first day back to school.

Got really good news from the Lyme dr. Scott is doing really well, has about an 80% chance of being in remission, and is coming off another abx. Four *years* of treatment and we are getting close to the end. Yay!!!!
Caitlyn is also coming along good-- she is getting one abx increased to keep her going in the right direction. We go back in 10 weeks and see where we are at.

I know I keep saying it, but wow-- what a difference over the past year.
My kids are no angels but now they are more normal teens-- regular teen mood swings, regular teen attitude-- no more of the hell I went through in 2008-2010. Now, if there were only a guarantee that they wouldn't get bit again or have any relapses.....

Off to clean today, and hopefully I can do some scrapping when I get back this afternoon.

WWW:
I wish that Gary would be able to get better like the kids are.
I want to scrap!
I wish my house would clean itself. And cook dinner for me- like Sarah on the show Eureka. LOL

xoxo

Eva-- some days I wish I could bring them back to the hospital and get and "easier" model. hahahaha!!! If those kids didn't look and act like a blend of Gary and I, I would try it ;)
That photo is too cool- he reminds me of the conductor on the Polar Express movie!

Laurie- how did the dentist go? Hope he called and has an eay and painfree (and inexpensive) solution even though I know that is highly unlikely.

Phyllis-- ooh your new bedroom stuff sounds great-- you have to post a pic!
I know- I saw the gnocchi on FB- I would like to borrow Maureen's DS too.

Kristy- hope that your little one is feeling better!

Trudy-- a pajama day sounds heavenly!!! Did you do it? ;)

Oh and Eva-- I saw that you type Christ when you type my name-- hee hee!! I am a Goddess, aren't I??

Kayleigh-- I have been loving the pics of your girls together, congrats again!! How have you been feeling?

Clara-- hugs to you and to Dave. And woot!! So glad (but unsurprised!!) that you liked Rent.

PS- Loved Addie Paddies "body art" She is a riot!!!:pound:

Linda S-- if you win Powerball, is there any chance you can fly me out for a week or so?? I promise to clean your house for you in return! Sounds like you are having a fantastic time!!

Phyllis-- GMTA!!

Yup-- zenni optical. The only downside is that they do take a while to get shipped-- but to save several $100's-- I can live with that.

Ugh-- please don't get me started (again!!) on meds and drs bills- yesterday was almost $1,000. out of pocket. No money back. :faint:

Better get in the shower.....

xoxo!!!

lOve the O!
Morning all- I have today off- will head to town at lunch, church followed by dentist, followed by driving to where MMG is so I can go to a work function with him. I was teasing him about taking him on mystery date on Saturday and he wanted the details, which I won't spill ( I won free tickets to a mystery dinner sat eve at work!) So then he starts txting me about a special surprise he has been working on- not sure what it is, but hope it does not involve photo taking. I am pretty sure I will have a gap for several weeks and a whole lot less $$ when I am done with this ordeal. I will be talking about more caps to strengthen my front teeth that have had root canals in hopes of preventing future total teeth breakage. Have I told you how I hate the dentist, how I hate spending enough money in my mouth that I could have bought a car already? Okay enough

I got my walk in and now I need to clean the house. Oh and tomorrow on my regular day off- we have coaching with an amazing professional to clean up our dancing so we can progress to new fancier steps!

YES! I've been thinking what that photo reminded me of, but I couldn't ... good thing I have my private little Goddess to think for me :D

Today I'm playing Rammstein so loud, I didn't hear my mom & dad ring the door bell. She called later and wondered where I was. Nothing like Rammstein :) (Don't think it helps to get lazy teenage sons out of bed though *sigh*)

Later today my sis is coming, and we'll go grocery shopping. I definetely need to get me a semla today. Yesterday was Fettisdagen and that's the traditional day of the year when you are supposed to eat semla. Of course nowadays you can buy semla from Christmas til midsummer, but traditionally it was eaten only on Fettisdagen (literally Fat Tuesday). Anyway, didn't get any yesterday, so I'm having one today. (Let's not talk about the 4 I've eaten already this year LOL)

Chris, good news on the Lyme. honestly, girl. your stamina astounds me. re: kids and teenagers. just hope that they don't turn into alien strangers ::alien when they're in their mid 20s, like mine did. i still have NO idea what the H*&^ happened!!

Laurie, the teeth situation sounds SO frustrating. and there's nothing you can do to NOT have to do it. i just hate situations where there are NO choices. just ONE thing you HAVE to do. good luck. your lovely surprises sound good, though.

Kristy, hope you're holding up and haven't begun to "catch" the bug. hope she's feeling well soon.

hey. 57 and sunny today, they say. the sun is here already. i am loving it, and so are the bird outside. singing like mad. they think it's spring. ha! around here, this tease happens for MONTHS until spring actually happens. the flowers start coming up, the birds are singing, and then The Weather God yells "PSYCHE!!" and dumps a foot of snow on our heads.

hope the sun is shining where YOU are!

Morning ladies... Getting lighter everyday here, hooray!! Enjoyed my day off very much!! I spent most of the day doing some CT work and then some personal scrapping. I also got some painting done. I was working on some headstones for my sister's pet cemetery. It sounds morbid I know, but she has many of her family pets there, mostly cats and my daughter's cat is buried on her property. Its kind of cool to walk around the little cemetery and see all the headstones! I paint likenesses of the cats on large river rocks with the pets name and date of death. I have two more to do now as she recently lost another cat (this one adopted her) and her daughter just found her cat dead in the closet the day after her baby shower  My niece had her cat for 20 years. Guess having the house full of loud women put him over the edge!! I also got another Teddy Bear finished for my brother Duane's MIL, she wants 5 of them and now I am starting #3. So a busy day ofcrafting for me!!

Chris - So glad that things went well with the Lyme Dr.!! I wish your Gary could get better too!! But ouch on the cost!!!! Oh well you gotta do what you gotta do right?

Laurie - Enjoy your days off!! I hope that your surprise is great one!! Soak up the sunshine on your drive today!

Eva - Your Semia looks wonderful!! Bet it tastes great too!! I am afraid I would put on 5lbs just looking at it, but enjoy!!!

Kristy - Sorry your baby is still not feeling well, hope you are not going to catch it!! Don't understand the way things are done in the states with health care, it would have been free or next to nothing for the cost here in Canada too.

Clara - Have fun shopping, I remember those days!! Sometimes I miss all the activity with the kids! (but only sometimes) .LOL

Phylis - Sounds like a lovely day there for you! And yes I made my Anna Lift LO just for you :pound: Wish we could sit and share a glass or two together!! I know what you mean about spring fooling us. My tulips are coming up, but I am sure they will get a rude awakening one of these days with a large dump of the white stuff, it is still February!!

Well gotta get ready for the day, hope you all have a great one!!

I'm here! I'm here! but just for a bit. I finished up the last of the risotto for lunch today, and will actually have one of my own leftovers for dinner. Lasagna soup. "The chef" approved of it and ate most of it while here. He left last night, but his flight was delayed and he had an overnight in Minneapolis. I think he should be back in Seattle soon. I know his gf is missing him a lot cause she texted him up the wazoo!

Have yet to hear from my daughter about the forwarding of her mail tho not that any of that is surprising. I finally opened her one letter from the hosp to make sure it wasn't anything important she needed to do - yes, I'm still being Mom - and it was a statement of her first 10 days at the hospital. Not outrageous, 30k+ and I say that simply because I and the rest of the MD taxpayers are paying it. She was scheduled for a follow up on the hopeful shrinkage of the head tumor today. I expect to hear from her brother if she does let him know, and if he believes her. :-( After her rants on FB, she is blocked. It's hard remembering the truth of "What other people think of me is none of my business." I hope she remembers she has and has always had two parents. Right now, I'm resigning from that position.

Tomorrow? on our way to LA for the weekend and then...Kauai. Neither of us are truly in the mood but it would be a pricey cancellation so off we go. It is hard to think of sandals and tshirts!

Hugs to all here...back to laundry and packing!

Maureen, have a swell time in Hawaii. put on the T and sandals and don't think.

i want to know what Lasagna soup is. sounds like something i might be able to eat, since Dreamfields makes low carb pasta that is fab. some day send me the recipe.

i can only imagine what my D is saying about me in private and in public. well. we don't travel in the same circles, so what does it matter, right?
