The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hey there, everybody! How are you doing today? I slept very well, aside from some strange dreams. I am still tired, though. Maybe it's just that the coffee hasn't kicked in completely.
:waiting:

Yesterday was "a little of this, a little of that" kind of day.
Spot on:
Today is going to be a lot of different projects and chores and all that good stuff. First up is yoga, then grocery pickup. Oh yeah--I have to rearrange my fridge before I head out for that. Then it's housework/desk work/Weis work/Oscraps work. If I have time/energy and it isn't too hot, yard work to end the day.
Gary helped me with the fridge, which I was grateful for. That man can Jenga just about any kind of storage area. My friend showed me where some of her plants were that she wants me to take. It is supposed to rain today- a few pop-up storms in the afternoon (please, oh please!), so I'll dig them up when the ground is softer. She definitely wants me to take the peonies. She bought them on a trip to the Christmas Tree Store with our kids and my mom. I'll ask Gary to dig them up for me. I don't think my shoulders will be happy with me if I try. I did grab some of the mountain pinks since they have shallow roots and I put them in the small rock garden-y area.
Prepped for the Friday field trip and then cooked dinner.

I am cleaning for my friend this afternoon so I have this morning "to myself" FWIW. I have to pay bills- yay for Social Security Day! (AKA Easy Come, Easy Go :lol23:) If I can get everything else done. I want to scrap a little more, maybe AJ Week 3. I also am in love with Vicki Robinson's Boss Lady kit. I am making a new recipe for dinner- vegan cauliflower curry. I have learned my lesson- I bought two cauliflowers instead of the one the recipe calls for. By the time they are done cooking, it's like there is hardly anything left. Not as bad as spinach is, but close hahah!

Have a fun and fab day!

Well yesterday we left our son's house and started our slow trip back to Florida. We had a wonderful time with them and I'm so glad we were able to stay for Reeds birthday party blow-out.
I bet Reed was happy that you were there, too.
Last night oldest grandson called to tell me he fractured and dislocated his index finger at work when the power washer he was starting had the cord come back to hit his finger. Off to ER for xrays they reset it but it was all day to do that. Off work today and light duty till he sees ortho Dr tomorrow.
Oh jeez! I hope that it is a simple recovery for him.
When we got here yesterday it wasn't long before the deer were here. poking around grazing on the grass at the neighbors site....I love it. she came so close to me as I was talking to her. I put out my trail cam last night so saw raccoons and the deer.
So sweet!
I feel good tired. Like a nice workout. I don't feel like death warmed over like I would have in the past. I'm really seeing the differences in how I feel since surgery and I can only imagine how it will be when I am totally done.
This is the best news!! How fantastic that you are really noticing the difference in how you feel and with your pain/energy levels improving. That is huge-- and a cause for celebration!

I always have Lyme in the back of my head, the when/if it comes back. When I compare how tired and in pain I used to be just doing something simple, like cooking dinner, to what I do now, I breathe a sigh of relief. It stinks that we have that awful frame of reference, but it shows how far we have come. And you'll get even better! ♥

Sending everyone love today

Morning, all. Had a wonderful time with the gals at the brown bag luncheon yesterday. I had missed going to the last few months get togethers so it great to see everyone again. Stopped at the grocery store on my way home and ended up with 6 heavy bags full... :wow2: Somehow while I was unloading them from the car, I managed to strain my left shoulder.... and also did something to hurt the top of my right foot..:wow2: :thud: Had a very bad night - woke up after only 2 hours of sleep and had to get up and take some pain meds. Then tossed and turned for 3 more hours before finally falling asleep. Both are still very painful so won't be doing much today..... need to dig out my neck rice bag and the chair massager. Guess I will spend most of the day in the recliner. :sad2:
On the good side... it was 66*F when I got up so have the house opened up and a nice cool breeze is blowing through the house right now.

Off to check on my challenge then to the recliner. HAGD

Good morning everyone. A quick hello from me. I just got back from walking Remi and will be heading out for coffee with friends before going to the club for canasta for the afternoon. Booked a wk long cruise down the west coast for next Sept with friends and we can use our West Jet credit for the airfare. The deadline for booking with the credit is almost up and West Jet only books airfare a up to a year in advance so we have to wait until Sept 18 to book it for next Sept 18th. Whew. The credit runs out 2 days later, so that is cutting it close but is doable. It's a big credit so really would have hated to lose it.

I've got 2 markets coming up at the end of the month and then get 2 months off before the Xmas ones start up. I am really looking forward to that break.

Gotta go for coffee now, have a good day everyone.

@faerywings The wildfire smoke doesn't affect us here, thankfully. Kamloops for two summers are bad enough to last me a lifetime.

SInce I didn't really work at my getting my presentation ready over the weekend, or on Monday, all day Tuesday, once back from trail work, was heads-down slogging away at it. And then this morning re-writing and re-reading the talk so I can just say it and not read it. Sometimes I think I work too hard at these. But it will all be behind me in a few hours.

David's covid seems to be pretty mild, compared to when he had it last year. He's not feeling too bad, and not coughing much. Mostly sore throat and muscle aches. That does not mean I would be OK getting it myself! But, yeah, now our schedule for vaccine boosters will be different, as I should go for one next month, but he doesn't go for three months. We're college-educated, we can probably work that out.

I have been kicked out of my office while we're isolating David, since it's in the corner with the guest bedroom and bath. I am missing my big second monitor for doing scrapping, so I haven't finished any since last week, and I was so intent on getting challenged done. Maybe tomorrow, after this presentation, I'll be able to do some on my laptop screen.

@AK_Tracy sounds like a great hike! I remember when we went to see Mendenhall Glacier, how it felt like it should be "right here" but we had to keep walking and walking.

Hi Everyone, I'm at Erinn's helping her out for a few weeks. We have my computer all set up so I can steal away here and there for some quick check-ins and maybe a layout or two.
@BoatLady how much longer are you on the road? I know you left way back in May and summer is almost over already~ How did that even happen? Hope your grandson's finger heals quickly! That's no fun. Also, I love your deer. They are such beautiful animals.
@bcgal00 It's fun to see how fast your jewelry business has taken off! It seems like just a couple months ago you were in the very early stages and look at you now!
@Terri M I hope David gets over his Covid soon!
@BrightEyes one of the things I miss most about living out west is keeping the windows open most of the year. We used to open them at night and keep the house cool in the day by closing everything. We also had a whole house fan. Here, it's so humid, the times of year we can actually open the house is very narrow.
@faerywings I've never experienced a formal forest bathing, but there is something so special about just being outdoors and taking it all in, I bet it was amazing.

Have a great evening everyone!

When I was a kid, they were much closer. I remember playing with ice at Portage Glacier. Now you can barely see it from the parking lot. Still fun to see them though.
